I am having an issue when updating my Nexus 7 to 4.3 from 4.2.2 using adb. I have successfully updated from 4.2.1 (and 4.1 to 4.2.1 on my Galaxy Nexus), so I have some experience in this. When updating to 4.3 everything runs smoothly with the file transferring and verifying the package.
However, I get the following message when it says "Installing update..." appears:
warning: No file_contextsVerifying current system...
assert failed: apply_patch_check("system/app/calendarGoogle.odex", "8223e0706a18c83d631f5700960b1aa20e12cc9", "2a016b51198f734138b5fdbe33124f657088981")

I can tell it's the Google Calendar app causing issues, but what?

I am updating my Nexus 7 to 4.2. I am using customer recovery "ClockwordMod v6.0.1.0"

Not clear what this means.
I got a simular error when I tried to update normally with Stock recovery. When I tried it this way earlier it did not work and I got to the Android on his back with the Red Triangle. I then got in to Stock recovery but the error above was simular.
Any help appreciated.

Believe it means that files checksum doesn't match what they think it should, meaning it was modified. So if it doesn't match, no flashy. Had the same issue with my build.prop, fixed it. Then it failed on the file for the 720p camera mod. Tried fixing it.... but that's a no go. Basically if you can find a stock rooted ROM, then copy over the file that fails....u should be good.
I downloaded and tried an unmodified file and got the same error upgrading from 4.2 to 4.2.1
I'm trying to build a ROM for a Nexus 7 3G using the ROM Kitchen (0.223), but every ROM I create gives me Status 0 when flashing.
Base ROM I'm modifying is stock 4.2.2, and I currently have installed a rooted 4.2.2 (stock) ROM
I've looked around but can't find any information that sorts it.
I've tried update-script and updater-script.
I'm using CWM Recovery 6.0.3.1 (have also tried TWRP) and the error message is

I've made ROMs for a Note 2 before with no issues, so not sure whats happening here.
Anyone run into this problem as well? Any ideas?
Hi guys, i have been trying to update my Nexus 7 3G for awhile now, i had stock 4.2 and i unlocked bootloader and rooted teh device using CF-Auto-Root and it worked, i than received OTA update to 4.2.2 and i applied(i have custom recovery TWRP) and it applies update and it restarts and when i click on about tablet its still on 4.2 and after some time i get a notification saying system upate, repeat the same thing and again im stuck on 4.2.
So i decided to do a manual update and i took theupdate from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1745781 and used JDQ39 from JVP15S since i am on JVP15S and i get an error 7 and so i tried JOP40C from JVP15S and same error 7.
"assert failed: apply_patch_check ("/system/app/applicationsprovider.apk", "435f87

Can someone help me out here?

Hello guys. I'm new here and I hope you can help me with my update problem:
I'm using ASUS Google Nexus 7 2012 rooted running Android 4.4 KitKat KRT16S
the problem is when I update it default through OTA in the device itself, when i reboot it, it still not 4.4.2 but the system says I'm running the latest version of android.
i tried manually using TWRP recovery but i get this error
Updating partition details...
Installing '/sdcard/!ReadyToFlash/Root_Files/kk.zip'...
Checking for MD5 file...
Skipping MD5 check: no MD5 file found.
Verifying current system...
"/system/bin/debuggerd" has unexpected contents.
E:Error executing updater binary in zip '/sdcard/!ReadyToFlash/Root_Files/kk.zip
Error flashing zip '/sdcard/!ReadyToFlash/Root_Files/kk.zip
Note: !ReadyToFlash is the folder where the kk.zip which is the OTA file is located
I hope somebody here can help me or give me a link of the right debuggerd file. Thanks you very much.
Hi,
I have rooted my Nexus 7 and installed TWRP, but when tried to flash slimkat 4.4.4 it failed with error message "set_metadata:recursive: some changes failed". An important details was that I did this after a couple of glasses of wine (genious, i know) and of course I messed up and did a backup after the my first attempt at flashin the slimkat rom, so restoring the back up is no good. I did all of this from the device itself, except the OEM unlocking.
How do I access the the Nexus 7 and add other rom files in the state it is now. I can see that Android filemanager in OSX detects it when I try to start normally, but is not able to gain access, then the device goes to TWRP
How do I move forward from here? I guess I need to get a nother rom zip file to flash, but I'm not sure.
I want to have lightweight custom rom, before trying to flach slimkat my Nexus 7 was on android 5.1.1 and it was not really usable. My goal is to use the device for not heavier than kitkat, please help me.
