I doubt that xPlay will get any update because of touchpads compatibility problems and because of licencing (Sony vs SonyEricsson). But if we are lucky, they'll maybe make update for Neo L, wich is still good news for us...

but the issue of the touchpad, not a Synaptics license??? .. I think if Sony would like to support it .. you could easily do that if it comes to licensing, the range "XPERIA" he still belongs to Sony .. but do not release an update. although it would be good, release the libs for the camera in JB, or the source of the touchpad or something .. so it would be easier to get to custom roms a little more stable ..
Translated and read the link of JB. First things first this article is 4-5 months old. Also, I highley doubt $ony would even bother woth our PLAY as ots been ages since sony gave a rats butt about the PLAY

Plus, the firmware could just be a baseband update .

I wouldn't look forward to it. The best JellyBean experience you could get, are the ones created by our very own XDA devs.

seems like that. we have news since last year of a new sony update..until now nothing..and with xperia 2013 line..seems far and unlikely to have something official new for play..
With the release of 4.3 it might sound logical about a 4.1 update although the specs kill it, so no. Damn Sony, they could more than easily create a 4.2 update with full functional controls but they won't waste time and a money a phone that wasn't so popular.

No 2011 Xperia will be updated to Android 4.1 so you shouldn't expect something like this.
Not to sound like an a$$ but this thread should be closed. We all know its not true. And all its doing is confusing newer xperia play users. Sony will not waste their time and resources to get a fully functioning update for our play.
I would like to respectfully request a MOD please close this thread

mate .. the post was a question .. I was wrong to write the title of the post .. I did this post for everyone to bring the news collecting Internet vallan .. to see if the rumors are true of a future upgrade ..
it is not possible

Device : Sony Xperia Neo L
ROM : MyOWn V1
Kernel : Lupus Phoenix v10
I don't think so
Its impossible for 2011
So Xperia Z and the other new devices is important than the 2011s devices.

Hey guys,
This will more than likely be my final post on this side of the forum, i have moved on to the Samsung Galaxy SII, due to me throwing my X8 at a wall after receiving some pretty devastational news :/ I have enjoyed every second of being with you guys and ill be sure to keep checking in to see how you guys are doing, but for now its a regretful farewell.
I just want to say another thankyou to all the developers working to make the X8 something that Sony Ericsson didnt see it being and hope for the best in the way of X8 Android development in the future!

Kind sir, I request you take down the Rom due to the usage of AC!D Sound Mod without the request of proper permission.
Whilist this is not law you did not add anyone related in any way to Team AC!D to the credits nor probably asked them for permission of usage of their hard work that went into scripting and mixing.
I'm trying to say that you are theoretically stealing or by android terms "kanging" into people believing that it is the fruit of your work which isn't a nice thing and can be taken in as disrespectful.
Please ask for permission of Team AC!D to host this upon your rom and move the thread to the appropriate section.
Thank you
