changelog :
Network selection menu updated
Better communication of important details, including current active connection
Wi-Fi list now auto refreshes
Various bug fixes
Improvements to download speed over Ethernet
Wi-Fi is now disabled when Ethernet is active (to increase performance). Removing Ethernet will re-enable Wi-Fi.
Fixed an issue where downloads could get stuck in the “in Queue” state
Changed the automatic controller pairing popup to occur after 2 minutes if the console is turned on and no action is taken. Also reworded the screen to make it clear already paired controllers can simply be turned on to connect
Better handling of case where user changes their password on the web while logged into the console
Fixed an issue where entering too many characters in the search window could cause a crash
Fixed an issue where pressing the system button on two separate controller at the same time would register as a double tap
In the Make menu, if the selected game hasn’t been downloaded yet, the "O" button now goes to the details page
Pulled various page headers into the safezone, to avoid it looking like there is an overscan issue with the OUYA menus.

can someone tell me if they've fixed display on 720p only tvs (true 720p hdmi output) or only just moved the headers?

The last one is the one I noticed.

Agreed and if we don't get it soon I'm about to give up hope on the OUYA team and will be looking at Cyanogenmod for the future--this necessarily precludes further spending in the OUYA store, as I'll be using the Google Play store instead... No sense in throwing my money away.
Thankfully there seems to be a Google Play version of the games I like, too bad I can't get a refund for the ones I already bought.

Dear Google

Hello, my name is Tommy.
I like your new 3.1 update. Everything runs sweet.
However, you changed some things, one in particular I am upset with. Its in your YouTube app. You seem to have changed the controls with play/pause/restart. Restart now is the forced control for when a video ends. Basically my issue is that when I just streamed a video and it ends, I can not rewind to any part of the video and hit play, because the button only displays restart. Now with me basically surviving off of the verizon network for my xoom, this has become an issue. Especially with longer HD videos. I don't understand why a video just streamed can't maintain its data for long enough that it can't be played again without restreaming it, especially since I've been doing it since I bought my Xoom on launch day. Any thoughts you might put towards this issue would be greatly appreciated by me.
Thank you.
Now where should I send this? If you agree, please help me and send one also.

Don't download Youtube from Market, it's the phone version. If you already did, go to settings - all applications, find Youtube and click remove updates.
To fix the no youtube problem, go to settings - all applications, find Google Partner Setup and click Clear Cache, restart your Xoom and Youtube app will appear magically.
Hope this helps.
Ha sweet just did this and worked perfect! Plays so much better than on the website! Thanks

Apps that don't work for you

So far I have two. No biggie, I know there are some that don't work with ICS.
My Harley Davidson screen app w/ Willie G spinning Icon -intend to contact developer.
And Grand Theft auto(latest?) hosed. Screen went grey. It may have just been processing. I did not wait long. I deleted it 'cause I'd never even played it before and could not be bothered.
Have not played with a whole lot of apps yet. I don't do a lot of games. But I have a ton of camera and photo apps.
I'm liking this phone.
Scrabble is completely unnusable. It was a crap app to begin with, but it loads like 9 repeated frames lol.
Need For Speed - Shift...for some reason, it will not d/l
Asphalt 6 says that the device is not compatible request a refund.
Netflix app is working, but soft key buttons stay on while watching, which is annoying.

Max Payne. It sorta works. Graphics are fine. But the user interface hasn't been setup for our phone making it unusable. I am sure it will be updated soon.

I have no such issues on mine. Just touch the screen again after the video loads, and the software buttons go away.

I'm thinking most Apps will be upgraded pretty quick. This beast is sure to be popular!
Mass Effect: Infiltrator.
Downloads the extra data fine, but crashes at different times on the headphone screen or in the opening movie.
Light Flow is completely forked on mine.. LED stays on randomly, the phone announces when you're opening & closing folders.. very odd.
Can anyone confirm whether or not fifa 12 shows up in the market? And for anyone who has bought it does it work properly?

Same Issue here with Mass Effect and Dead Space
Real Racing2 crashes after the intro video with a "stop here" error, something about unable to load an mp3 file
Most Gameloft Games say to get a refund
I tried before / after root, also tried restoring to stock from TGA Gunman's nandroid backup, same issue

To get the announcements to stop just disable the talkback assistor. bug in the firmware that enables it when you turn on light flow.

[HOWTO] Use your Epic as Mouse/Keyboard for other Android devices

So, as far as I know, this should be able to control PC's too, and maybe PS3's. But, I've only tried this on other Android devices. Should control anything on CM7.X, or anything on any form of Android 3.0, 4.0, and 4.1.
Prerequisites(Epic 4G specific):
Has to be on an AOSP based ROM(CM, AOKP, Paranoid, etc)
Step 1.) Enable Bluetooth on your Epic 4G and other Android device.
Step 2.) Pair the devices together
Step 3.) Now, install "BluePutDroid" on your Epic from the Play Store.
Step 4.) Open BluePutDroid, hit the Start key on the top left
Step 5.) Swipe up the "Log" bar to make sure there were no errors. If there were, try step 4 again.
Step 6.) Tap the device you want to connect to(your other Android device)
Step 7.) When it finishes loading, the screen should be green. Swipe on this to move the mouse on the other android device. Tap once to click on the other device, and hold down till the screen turns red to do things like scrolling, drag and drop, etc.
If the S/W keyboard shows up, hit menu "Toggle Soft Keyboard" to hide it. If it keeps enabling itself, install "Null Keyboard" from the Play Store and set that as your input method while using BluePutDroid. Also, the H/W keyboard works great. So you can use that to type, or navigate with the Dpad
This app works on other devices as well, but I can't go into great detail on ROM compatibility and such.
If your device has CM7/9/10 or any AOSP based ROM, this will work.
This will work on the (rooted) stock ROM of some devices, such as Nexus S(all forms), Galaxy Nexus(all forms), and Galaxy S3 (all forms)
On other's it will not work on the stock ROM, regardless of root, such as Galaxy S(entire first series), and many older HTC devices(not sure of newer ones).
According to the app developer, this is kernel related and nothing he can do; if it works, it works. if it doesn't, get.cm
Thanks! I'll look into this.

But I didn't know it worked with other CM devices - that's an awesome find

Lol. There is an app called WiFi Keyboard that'll let you type using your Epic, but its not near as awesome as this. And all text gets sent through in Caps lock

There's apps for PCs similar to this. Like RemoteDroid and gPad. I'd prefer gPad because it has many other uses, like controlling windows media player, microsoft powerpoint, and using it as a mouse/keyboard obviously. But again, it's over WiFi. Bluetooth is beta AFAIK.

This app has been around for at least a year - the benefit of bluetooth is faster response times than over wifi. I think that's partly the result of the direct connection, and partly because the wifi methods involve a computer-side server (often using vnc, which uses some processing time to send a live stream of the screen, even if the connected client app doesn't need it, such as with a remote kb/mouse app)

I can also vouch for this on the ps3. Donate, help him out and no ads.
My wife was giving me **** "you are so techy, why can't you ruin the ps3 with your phone". So i googled and XDAed until i found this app.

Paranoid Android and screen mirroring aka Miracast

So I am running the last 3.60 paranoid android and I am having problems with getting a sony Kdl-70r550a to connect to it via screen mirroring that the tv has. I have already updated the TV firmware to the latest that was available. When it does connect, it displays what I can only describe as when an NES cartridge needed to be cleaned or wasn't in all the way. Basically weird blocky artifacts with only small bit of picture color showing.
I have tried changing screen resolution on my phone and even DPI to no avail. I have also tried using a Samsung s4 brand new out of the box, but being Samsung, gives registration failed when attempting to connect.
Sounds like some sort of copy protection. Try turning off hdcp.

This makes perfect sense and would explain it. Problem I have now is that I can only find "Hdcp checking" under developer options, after changing it to never use hdcp checking and trying again, still getting same issue. Any other setting I am missing to disable hdcp?
Flash cm10 there is an option to disable it
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda premium
OK, flashed back to CM10.1. Where is this option located?
Going to request PA to add the feature for disabling hdcp for next stable build.

So I tried and tried and even with the hdcp handshake off gives a picture but its laggy and comes in and out. Has any else tried this with any other brand tvs? At this point I'm blaming Sony, as I know with external devices that support Miracast will work flawlessly. Guess an eventual firmware update may fix it. Buyer beware.
PS thanks for your help.

Are you still using your Q?

Is anyone still using their Q now that it's been completely abandoned by Google? If so, in what ways are you using it? I was hoping someone here would hack the Q, but it looks slim. Should I throw this thing away? I want to use this things amp!

After they shut down the servers for setting them up, I quit using it. If you use cm 10. 2 with amp support and cheap cast its almost like it still works, but i haven't taken the time to put it on yet. There are guides. Don't trash it though. There are still people that will have uses for them as a desktop computer.
I haven't used mine in 6 months either but I am gonna dust it off and try to load 10.2 on it next week now that the hdmi and spidf are working. Does anyone know what keyboard and mouse combos work? I thought it was a Microsoft wireless 800 combo that I was using last time with wireless adb since there's only one USB.

I just installed cm 10.1 using the method posted by user ianandamy. Works great and my input methods are a Microsoft wireless mouse with with an OTG cable connected to the Q, and I have a wireless Bluetooth keyboard. The only things I would like to see fixed are the primal LED lighting function, and a way of powering off the Q other than unplugging it.

If you install CM on it and then install cheapcast, you can cast to it as if it was a chromecast.
since putting CM11 on this device it feels and works amazing!!
-full screen immersive mode
-transparency
-snappy
-play store works perfectly
If anyone is in the UK and willing to part with their Q, I'd love to make you an offer!
