If you restored the stock ROM you can't swipe to data reset. Do you still have twrp as your recovery?

If you are on MF9 do what the video says then you will have to root while on MDC or MDL and use triangle away to reset your binary flash counter then unroot if you want to be back to clean original stock. Triangle away doesn't work on MF9 right now and you have to use it while rooted.

IDK. Lol. You could have done an endless amount of things to break something. Did you flash a kernel at any point? How did you install CM when you did it? Walk me through what happened and maybe I can help figure it out.

Okay like around 9:30 my time i factory wiped then installed the google edition rom, then it said on the thread that the kernal might casue random reboots so i download the recomended kernal and i wiped dalvic cache and cache then it stayed on that screen so i factory reset then loaded my restored MF9 then i rebooted the device to see if it was all good then it stayed on that screen /:
What was the process that you used to get back to MF9. I think that is your problem.

Okay after i tried to flashed that kernal it stayed on that screen so i pulled out battery and they went into TWRP and then i factory reset the phone then i just restored my backup of MF9 and thats when i rebooted and it stays on the screen.
So it froze while you were flashing the kernel? Any way that video will fix it.

Well thats your problem. The phone freezing while flashing a kernel. That could have been all bad. Triangle away resets your binary flash count but don't really worry about it if you are going to root again. But here is the thread but it doesn't work on MF9 yet so if you use it you have to use it while on MDC or MDL. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1494114

Hello!
I had my S4 rooted and nandroid back up. I was trying to install this link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2316308
I installed it and gapp installed too and rebooted. I got this message appears
"System software not authorized by AT&T has been found on your phone"
upper corner in orange says "kernel Failed"
That means I did something wrong?
I read about odin. Does Stock rom get you back to fully stock?
Thanks
Did you run loki doki? see.your on at&t..locked bootloader and i dont think that rom is autolokied. Boot back into recovery flash ld.and see if it boots.

Ok, I been reading some threads about recovery, I didn't relieze, i was away from s3 so long. I just restored from backup data and it boots into this stuck Samsung screen with custom unlocked logo. Bootloop?
Havent seen that particular screen but yeah sounds like your bootlooped. If.you can three finger back into recovery and have a nandroid i would full wipe then Restore your back up (even though people.say restoring wipes anyway..id wipe.if u.are using twrp do not format data!).if.your still looped you may have to try and odin back to stock.firmware can be found on sammobile.com had to do this the other night due to a bad nandroid..lots of fun lol.

Thank you!:victory:
My heart dropped like fainting ghost after I see the at&t software showed up. I wiped factory reset and goes past the samsung with unlocked logo into at&t boot up like new phone. It took 5 mins to get into welcome screen. All is working.
Now, I begun to wondering why my logo says it bootloader unlocked and I download correct at&t rom is in? I use this causal download from this link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2297900
I am trying to understand and pick my first rom. Was thinking downloading pure google rom. Had to read again
That mod.will loki your kernel, prolly why it says unlocked. I.have the.canadian. version..unlocked already thank.god lol.
A.simple wipe can work wonders..if you can get into.recovery and have something.to.flash most times your gona be okay.
Glad your back in.business!

Flash another kernel made for your device, or go thru the ODIN thing, your choice. this is for anyone who have that triangle.
Yes, I read some thread and the roms need kernel, without kernel installed which was has leaded me into that warning att screen. I tried again with roms above link with ktoon kernel and made it through. I was probably be dumb. Pardon me, lots to relearn here.
I own iPhone 4s but I went back to android.

[Solved] Need some help..
I want to get my ATT galaxy s4 back to stock. I searched for a lot online. Basically it needs Odin and a downloaded stock firmware.
My question is does it work even for my phone currently is CWRP recovery and custom rom flashed? Does the Odin flash the stock recovery to the phone?
Thank you so much!

heh we cool, um, it does not remove the recovery, but a hint here, odin back to stock, go into recovery after and factory reset. If you are wanting to remove everything including recovery, there is a thread or 2 with info on that.
Good luck.

since the OTA update would check for system integrity like recovery.

I have heard different stories on that, the one that I think is if you are rooted and recovery installed, your status would show custom, so no updates.
Anyone have any input on this?

Hello,Sir~ Thanks for advice!
Do you have any idea about the boot unlock image with word "custom"? I found something online saying that even if you flashed a stock firmware
by Odin and reset factory in recovery, it could be still there and probably related to some files be signed or not by samsung.. Any suggestion?

There is a way to get that to read normal, but you must first get back to stock. Start there, and we will get the other taken care of.

You can find more about the process by reading this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2261573
If you want to be 100% stock like you were out of the box, you can do a factory reset/wipe in TWRP and then ODIN back to stock.
Factory reset will wipe all of your data - some of which is causing the custom icon at boot. You can wipe the cache and davlik cache as well to be sure.
Next, ODIN will remove root and custom recovery afterwards, leaving you completely stock.
My understand is that if you don't want to wipe all your apps and data, you can ODIN back to stock and then manually remove the files that are causing the custom icon, but I have not tried that.

Hello, I have the ATT Galaxy S4 i337, and I bricked it. It can go to stock recovery or download mode, but stays stuck booting into the ROM flashed by Odin and get's insanely hot. It always does this no matter what I flash it with, also, I cannot flash a custom recovery via Odin, it just errors. Is there a fix for this or am I screwed?
Do you know what firmware you were on?

That, and a little patience. OP, when you flash stock via Odin and then factory reset, it usually takes a few minutes to boot in. Cheers
need some help guys. im stuck in a bootloop. I used QBKING;s videos to root and install a custom recovery. this all went flawless. I then used his video to get native hotspot working and this is where it began. Upon completion my first boot hung on the sprint boot animation. I pulled the battery and booted into recovery to restore my nandroid that was a stock rooted nandroid i did before the attempt to get hotspot working. now my phone just bootloops at the galaxy s4 screen. How can i get out of this? is my only option to install a custom rom? I am on mk2 and can get into recovery and download mode if this helps.
Ive tried wiping cache, dalvik and doing a factory reset with the same results.
just tried installing a stock rooted deodeked rom also a 4.3 mk2 rom. and im still bootlooping.
can someone send me a link to an unrooted stock 4.3 mk2 tar that i can flash in odin...im having trouble finding it

i just finished the flash through odin...im not sure if it takes a while to boot after the flash, but it appears that i am stuck at the sprint boot animation...any ideas?
edit: just booted to the lock screen and give me an error message saying that "unfortunately the process android.process.acore has stopped" and then it reboots again...this is my new boot loop.
UPDATE: I decided to reflash the stock unrooted .tar again. it went through the boot process and took a long time on the sprint boot animation, but it did continue to boot into android. THANKS...my heart beat and blood pressure are now back to normal. LOL

If you still want to unlock the hotspot, you will find the correct files for the MK2 software in post 337 of the hot spot mod thread in the android development section. If you use a version that doesn't match your current software version you will get another bootloop.

Mate easiest way out is to flash stock 4.2.2 again from odin and start all over.....
PS did you try from recovery , clear dalvik and cache ......if not helping try factory reset
Your best option is to reflash a stock rom. A factory reset won't help because you deleted the apps.

You current stock rom?
If you were on 4.3 flash 4.3 or higher.
If you were on 4.4.2 flash 4.4.2.
Uncheck auto reboot. Let it flash and remain idle for 5 mins.
Then start your phone.
There can be no way this does not work.
