Can you repartition the internal sd card? - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello.
Love my i9505 but am disappointed by only having 9gb of internal space to use. If I'm running a rom that is much smaller in size then the stock TW can I repartition the internal sd to gain more space?

Install foldermount that did the trick for me, it will copy obb files to extsdcard

Could you instead use SystemCleanup to move apps into the System partition? That would free up some storage.

no you cannot.

Devs are currently looking into this but it doesn't look hopefull since the PIT file has been locked down by Samsung

insufficient memory error when installing apk?

this has happened before, but it's happening again to me.
When I try to install an apk from anywhere (including play store) my phone tells me there is no space
It's a brand new phone with only 2 or 3 apps on it as it is...so there should be lots of space left.
Is there something I'm missing? Thanks!
Google Play seems to think it should install everything to the microSD. Are you using one and how much space is left in it?

I have 8gb remaining space on my 16gb SD card. Have about 24gb on internal memory

You need to delete the odex file of the app you are trying to install.

Internal storage?

My brother is considering to buy the LG G2 but after the S4 internal storage limitations we're looking for details about the free storage available out of the box.
Thanks in advance.

External SD card write issues on 4.4.2 - NA6

Hey All,
After flashing the poland firmware 4.4.2, there is a known issue which others and myself are facing to copy/write from internal to external sd card. Is there any way to work around this problem with root? Any help here will be much appreciated. I really feel hadicapped without the option to move files using any file manager.

Could always try one of the custom 4.4.2 ROMS, they offer fixes :good:

SD card fix no Root??

Has anyone found a fix so we can move files back and forth from SD card to phone internal storage in KitKat WITHOUT root?
I don't have the developer and this is an important function for me. Using a computer sucks for this.
