If you can get it on your phone you can try doing a titanium backup on the app, then copy the backup from your phone and install it on your tablet.. I think that should work.. You can also do that with ES file explorer and a couple other file explorer apps as an 'app backup' feature and manually install the apk after copying it to the device..
Hope this helps
The reason you can't find that app on your n7 in the play store is because it either is not approved for the n7 or the play store at least thinks it is not approved for your n7.
As for the above suggestion off pulling the app straight from your phone using tibu or a file explorer like es may work as allot of apps do work on devices for which they are not approved - though not always.

I have made a titanium backup zip of the file. Unfortunately all attempts at saving th file a an apk failed. But I was able to make a TB of it. Here is the download link.

sweet
Thanks mate, that worked, i installed the apk fine and its working sweet, thanks to you. Seems the market is giving out a false response to loads of phones saying they are incompatable. Strange but mines workiing so good times
Yeah I was getting the same false compatible. I would download it and as soon as it was installed on the android market website it would say incompatible. But whatever, guess this is only for the US users dont know why that it but wanted to share it. If you use it please post your opinion on it. Again I have not used it but am considering doing so now that I have it installed.
I've used it,its okay with a bit more work it'll be good, iris I think looks better graphically. My only hope for cluzee is the ability to Change voice etc

How do I install it from the zip file? Rom Manager aborted the install.
Unpack the zip and unpack it again on the Apk file name, then install, probably better on pc then transfer over
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
Its a 3 file zip. Uncompress with root explorer, and move the files to your titanium backup folder and restore with titanium backup. Then you should he good

I just wanna put something out there, this is not a demand by any means just a simple request/question
Is it in anyway possible to cook a file manager of some sort into one of the cm10/aosp/kang roms?
I know it goes against the whole ethos but it would make life a little more simple
Download one from the play store, it would probably be easier than making a stupid, pointless thread on xda. :silly:

Most of Roms have one integrated

Having to do that every time I install a rom data allowance for some ppl is small.
Btw if you have nothing constructive to reply aside from calling ppl silly don't fing reply, keep your opinion to yourself.
It might be a 1mb install from the play store, therefore it'll make the rom 1mb bigger. Same thing.
Btw if you have nothing constructive to post on xda, don't start a silly thread.

use android injector to install the file manager apk from your pc... no need to waste your data.
Most Roms come with some sort of File Manager.
My Solution to your ( with a data restriction ) is a simple one. go into your current file explorer, navigate to Data/App and copy the apk of the file explorer you are using and put in on your ext sd.
Now you will NO LONGER have to download the app, just use the stock/provided explorer to install the one you would rather use.
almost 100% of custom roms have some sort of stock explorer to at least get that done.
hope that helps.

Or you could make a cwm flash able zip for titanium backup, so that when you flash a new rom you flash that zip as well and you can restore the browser/apps that you need
Titanium Backup has an option somewhere to make a flash able zip for you, look around the menus and you'll find it
I used to do this myself b4 I got a contract with more data per month
Hope this helps
Ps: i did this on the free version long ago, I assume that it's still there

Hi all.
Ok, my tab (7510, wifi only, US) is rooted and working great.
There's a file that needs to be edited to enable the 5Ghz wifi band. I did that.
So, what are some recommended apps for a rooted tab that make this already terrific device even better?
I'm running stock ICS, with the Nova launcher. The tab runs like a rocket, and everything just works with no
problems. I'd prefer to stay with stock ICS for now rather than a custom ROM.
Thanks!

Hi ak.
Yes, you helped. Thanks button clicked!
My favorite app for any rooted android device is LBE Privacy Guard. It's a "by app" firewall and permission manager.
You'll have to grab it from their website for the GT but is runs fine on it. For my RAZR I grabbed it from the market.
I also like OS Monitor and Titanium Backup.

Definitely TitaniumBackup. I know a lot loves the Root Explorer but ES File Manager is great too once you turn on the Root Explorer option. For me it's a lot friendlier.

I have ES File Explorer; it's what I used to edit the file for 5Ghz wifi. Agree, very user friendly.
Thanks again.

If you start flashing a lot consider App2Zip as well. Backs up your apps and data to a recovery flashable ZIP file. Can be a bit faster than TB restore and is done pre-startup of the ROM. TB is still great to have though.
For recoveries I recommend TWRP. Touch interface, multi-zip flash in one install, file manager built in...

Hello,
does someone knows where I can find the stock android Browser ? (not Chrome)
The one that is on most phones.
I tried to install the browser.apk from a ROM 2.3.6 of LG P920. But It won't install.
I'm on stock 4.2.2 no root
I found this thread with a quick search (which you should have done before posting). Try installing the .apk with a root explorer as suggested by the OP.
EDIT: Ironically I was the one who didn't read your post properly, sorry. Since you don't have root the above won't work.

Hey, folks. I've been playing with the S Note v 4.1 app on my rooted Note 3 phone and used the ROM Toolbox's App Manager to convert it from System App to the User App. Since then the app has disappeared from anywhere on the phone. ROM Toolbox cannot see it either. Please help to revert it back!
Try to install it from google play. It will know if there is on alreafy in the rom as user app.
