I have the same problem, I have a S4 dual sim and had to install a new rom to install Google play and maybe it was left out of the rom but if I install a live wallpaper from the store I just get the error message and it closes. Is there an apk that I should install to get them working?

[Q] Issues with LauncherPro after botched kernel install (Phiremod)

Ok, so I was running Dalingrin's most recent build, and installed the OC kernel, and all was well. However, I wanted to use LauncherPro and it kept giving me issues, so I went back to Phiremod 6.3.
I went to install the OC kernel for CM7, not realizing that it was not compatible with Phiremod 6.3. (I figured they were both built on CM7, so it would work. Not so, apparently.) When I restarted, I got a black screen, and holding the N+Power buttons while booting didn't work.
So, I found a thread on XDA to fix my recovery, and I was able to restore my backup.
However, now i cannot add standard widgets or shortcuts (using the menu, long press on the app page works) to Launcher Pro, and any time I try to change something on the dock, I get a force close. I tried fixing permissions, and still no dice. No problems with Launcher Pro widgets or wallpapers. Also, the icon for some apps changed to the stock Market icon, and would not load, but a reinstall of those apps solved the problem.
Short version - Restored a backup after a botched kernel install, now Launcher Pro won't let me install widgets or shortcuts, or change items on the dock.
EDIT: Nevermind. Reinstalled Phiremod through ROM manager and it works fine now. Forgot about that option sooner.

[Q] google search does not load after root/cm10

I rooted my acer a500 using Skrilax Cz bootloader v8 and CM10-flex v6 rev 2.3. I also installed the gapps apk that was recomended. Everything seems to work except when I try to open google by taping the search bar on the main screen or the google icon is the apps area, the program starts, loads a couple of images and then shuts returning to main screen. this happens everytime. I have wiped data, cashe and have tried updating from the market. interesting enough when I tap the Browser button (not google) everything runs fine. Any ideas or tips I could try would be appreciated.

you installed the wrong GApps.Your phone firmware is 4.3, but you installed the GApps 4.4.2.You should install the corresponding Google service pack.

[Q] Help! Can't use mobile anymore ...

I use a Galaxy Note 3 I9505 which is rooted with towelroot. I have SuperSU and XPosed installed. Since yesterday I noticed that the statusbar icon colors that I'd changed using XBlast (Alarm, WIFI , time etc...) had gone back to default white color. Today I checked Xposed and it said there was a new update available so I went to Install/Update and the phone rebooted. Since that restart, I always get a popup "Unfortunately, the process com.android.systemui has stopped" and if I press OK it comes back again. The homescreen background keeps changing colors from blue to black during these popups. Nothing happens when I touch icons ... the popup keeps coming back. And if the screen goes locked its completely dark and I cant see anything until I remove the battery and turn on again.
Please help asap ..

Deactivate and clear data for all your Xposed Modules and reinstall your Xposed Framework.
There should be an Xposed-Disabler.zip on your sdcard, flash that in recovery using the Install update option so that you can access the above.
I can't click on any icons ... swiping doesnt do anything ... the popup keeps coming back and all I can click is "ok" on the popup
Sorry I'm new to these things.. could you please explain the steps on how to go into and recovery and what should be done?

Try this: https://seo-michael.co.uk/how-to-disable-xposed-installer/
You could always factory reset in recovery.
To get to recovery on your device...hold down Power + Vol Up + Home, when fully powered off.
Thanks, I thought factory reset was the best option and it works fine now.
Just wondering, is the phone still rooted after a factory reset?

If SuperSU is installed in /system, yes it is. If not just reinstall and it's all good.

Possibly have two different firmwares running?

I have a SM-G550FY, at least that is what my phone says. Now when I got the phone it was a metropcs phone and I tired rooting it which worked. Then I tried to flash the Reborn ON5 rom and then I had no sound. After this I tried flashing a stock rom but I believe it was for the T-Mobile variant. NOW it wont open ANYTHING. It boots and the initial android setup shows up but after I cant even open the settings in my phone. I used recovery to reinstall the reborn rom since no sound is better then no apps. I believe I flashed imgs for different model number but now I am not sure what to do. I just want to go back to the stock rom so I can have my sound back. Any help would be appreciated.
To fix the no apps/black screen what I did was pull down the notification menu from the top of the screen, then by long pressing the buttons I was eventually able to get into a settings menu where I could get to the play store. I started by downloading a bunch of the basic apps that were missing...contacts, messages, etc. then I installed "Google Now Launcher" and that fixed all the things. The bad metro wallpaper showed up and there were the apps that I thought were missing. I hope this helps...or at least gives you some hope that everything isnt lost.
Edit...if you can get to the play store...try the google now launcher first. Honestly any launcher might work.
