Hey guys,
I saw a couple of Kernels in the Original Dev section and wanted to ask you which has the best battery life. Or is the stock one best for battery. Because I can remember for the Sensation and Nexus 7 stock kernel didn't have the best battery life.
Thanks in advance!

Oh I thought you meant the build of the system. Totally forgot that there are two versions of this phone..
I have a I9505.
Try KT-SGS4 kernel.
KT kernel didn't cause any problems(on my phone) and I've been using it for more than a month. Each new release keeps getting better.
What about the best kernel for battery saving for i9500?
Can anybody please tell me?

It depends what settings you use in KT kernel, if you underclock and undervolt your phone, it shouldn't overheat alot

If I flash this rom on my SGH-M919, will my TWRP still work or do I need to flash GT-I9505 version of it? Just planning ahead and trying to avoid a brick over a 10mb file, .

Hi There,
I tried flashing this ROM onto my phone, but every time I flash, i keep getting errors with my SD card.
It says, SD card safe to remove. When i try and mount the card in settings, it just does the same again.
I reflashed an old rom back on and it works fine.
Any ideas would be appreciated!
Thanks

Just download the 1.4 kernel manually and put it on your sd card to flash via cwm

Hi, I have installed the latest Wanam Rom and Adam Kernel and think its awesome, but it would seen that the Adam Kernel does not support fast charge switching? As a result I have had to swap the Adam kernel for the Ktoonsez one that does support fast charge switching.
Will Adam Kernel have Fast charge support added as this is a big issue on the S4, given it drains the battery faster than you can charge it with anything less than 1000mA charge. The issue is most noticeable with the Samsung MHL adapter that reduces the input charge to 300mA regardless of how many mA you put into it!

Most likely no, as Wanam wants to keep the kernel as close to stock as possible plus he stopped developing the kernel for i9505 until further notice. I would suggest ausdim kernel as it is on par with Adam kernel when it comes to performance only difference is that ausdim has added fast charge and some other stuff like UV and CPU/GPU overclock. Other than that the kernel is close to stock as it could be, well GE stock kernel that is.
please check the download link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2281738 ,I can not find out any files there, thank you for you kernel, I like it very much
Hi =)
I just falshed WanamLite 1.4 on my GT-i9505 yesterday and i'm very happy with it! :victory:
But I wonder if I can use Triangle Away with it without bricking my device. I know that triangle away works with stock kernel, but since the adam kernel is as close to a stock kernel as possible, shouldn't it work anyway? Did someone test this already?

i don't think triangle away works with any s4 devices as of now (or i could be wrong )
Such a pity that wanam has stopped making this kernel. It really is good and i find it strange he stopped making this kernel because 2 people had problems with it.
I have a doubt. Adam kernel says that works only for europe devices.. so if im from chile i cant flash it?
Why does he stopped supporting deodexed roms? what wrong with deodexed?
That's been asked & answered in the WanamLite dev thread.

Mostly on battery life....but I haven't tried the latest 1.4, that hopefully resolves the headphone cracking sound that I had until the previous one!

Hi there, so I've got the Nexus 4 and running Cyanogenmod CM11 M7 and was wondering what would be the best kernel to install on my phone?
Something that'll get me bit of performance and better battery life
Thanks

it depends... always depends
You can try either of these, and then you can check, on your mobile, which is better :
ak's kernel
Hells Doctor with Tardis
Hells Core
In my point of view(and for my mobile setup), the better is Ak, but all of them are great kernels though !
Can't seem to get a download link for 4.4.2 kernel. The one on the official post isn't working. Any luck?
There is no such thing as a best kernel Just head over to the dev sections, try a few and then decide for yourself, as everyone has their own needs/likes/...

Hello, i need rom which support battery IBestWin 10000mAH and kernel for it,
i tried Emo roms, but i can`t find right kernel and right rom.
So if some one have time to tell me . . . .
Thanks in advance and i`m sorry if this is in wrong place. P.S. My Note 4 is N910F!!!

Since when do we need a kernel for a larger battery? I've been using mine for over a month and it's awesome.

I can use it too, but is drain too fast and when it reaches 1%
it takes a lot of time and i don`t know when i need to charge it.
That`s why i need help for kernel and rom.
Hi
I have same issue but I fix it with spacelemon kernel, but this kernel is for 910C.
Anyway check this kernel for 910F, the developer mention that this kernel support extended batteries

I'm actually on official LOS14.1 on my GT-i9505.
and the phone comes quicly very hot.
What is the best rom to keep the phone cold?
thanks.
Stock ROM is going to be the best.
Stock ROM used to keep the CPU to high frequency which make the phone overheating.
I'm looking for a ROM which allows to keep the phone cold as a normal phone.
I've used stock roms on several different s4 phones and none of them get hot.
Sounds like the rom on the phone is not allowing the cpu to vary its frequency.
Is the phone running an unrooted stock rom?

Hi,
Are you rooted? There are many apps from which you can undervolt the cpu, which will help in keeping it cool as well as save battery.
I come back on LP stock. I will see if CPU is still overheating.
Do you advise a kernel to undervolt CPU on this rom ?

Hi @bilatche ,
Try nevermorex kernel here https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4/i9500-develop/nevermore-kernel-v1-t3391795 , make sure you have backup of stock kernel just in case.

You can take a look over custom kernels in i9505 section that might meet your expectations.
