sry i ment g3mod this one is non overclocked and for me its life is 2 days plus for sure just calibrate your batery by letting it from full to completly dry since you dont have a rooted rom
just flash it in recovery
Thanks peter. I will flash with the kernel that you have provided and let you know if it resolves the issue. can you please let me know if it is listed in the list that I have provided above.
also, i have rooted my phone so for rooted phones, is there any other procedure to flash kernel other than that listed on the link that i have pasted in my previous thread?

since you have rooted use battery calibration from market(free) for better calibration and instant.it is in your list *G3mod* but its an older version(seems better to me at least for the battery).
to flash it,the easiest way is through recovery.it make no difference the flashing way
so now flash it,charge to full(until the phone tells you,not just 100%) and use the calibration app.thats it.let me know how it is
p.s im on 5h 12m display,32m voice calls,2h 24m wifi and 2d 11h 21m unplugged and still 28% battery left
p.s.2 are you using gallery 3d for your pictures?its know for battery drain, better use quickpic(on market, free) and ofc set brightness to minimum

Hey Peter,
Can you please let me know the exact steps to flash 1.7 kernel using odin and which version of odin to use as I searched for both on google but didn't get detailed steps to do this and also, there are many versions of odin available?
I only got the following on http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1252698
Just apply update.zip from Recovery or flash tar file using ODIN.
applying update.zip from Recovery is not working for me as cwm is not installed on my phone so I want to use odin to do the same thing...

when the phone is off try to press up+down volume buttons and home key and power button to get in recovery.if it doesnt work download I5800_Odin_Multi_Downloader_v4.252 for odin(there should be somewhere in xda) and unfortunantly 1.7 is not i g3mod list anymore but try from here http://code.google.com/p/g3modteam/...mmary+Uploaded+ReleaseDate+Size+DownloadCount g3mod_froyo_v1.9_lite.tar(make sure its the .tar cause the zip wont flash)
1.9 is also good enough

If you need I can give you a link of a page on which most of the roms are listed...
@Little Zed, you can supercharge your ROM, just read the OP
It is not advisable to supercharge JB ROMs as it has already it's RAM management from the kernel, if you are experiencing convenience then good for you but it is not that effective i tell you

Best kernel for battery life?

Hey guys,
I saw a couple of Kernels in the Original Dev section and wanted to ask you which has the best battery life. Or is the stock one best for battery. Because I can remember for the Sensation and Nexus 7 stock kernel didn't have the best battery life.
Thanks in advance!

It depends what settings you use in KT kernel, if you underclock and undervolt your phone, it shouldn't overheat alot
