Android 4.2.2 XXUFME7 Firmware Details
PDA: I9300XXUFME7
CSC: I9300OXAFME7
Version: 4.2.2
Date: June, 2013
REQUIREMENTS
-Enable USB Debugging by going to your phone’s Settings, then tapping on Applications, opting for Development and then turning on the option which reads USB Debugging
-Once you are done with that, you will need to make a backup that must contain the very important content on your smartphone
-Install USB drivers (on your laptop) for the kind of smartphone you use (install SAMSUNG KIES)
-Then be sure you charge the device’s battery to its fullest so that it will not make the handset stop working.
FLASH 4.2.2 XXUFME7 BY ODIN
1-The first of them has this instruction at the ready: download the Jelly Bean 4.2.2 XXUFME7 firmware archive and Odin tool on your notebook. Then wait for them to get installed there and switch the Galaxy S3 I9300 off.
2-Now boot the handset into the usual Download Mode by using the following keys: Volume Down and Home, which you must press and hold together; as you do that, you should power the smartphone on and you’ll land in the Download Mode.
3-After it’s in it, you will be asked to plug the handset to your notebook; you need to use the phone’s USB cord for this task, then wait a bit till 6-you find out whether or not the connection between the two has been established.
4-If you see a message reading “Added!!” or an ID:COM port number coloring in yellow, then yes, the connection has been established; if you don’t see those, you can either use a different USB port or resort to flashing the USB Drivers again. In Odin, you need to tap PDA; this is the way to use so that you can opt for the update firmware.
5-Now tap START and this firmware is going to be flashed on your handset. Look for this after the installation is done: “Language preference” on the display; when you see that, you will have to unplug the Galaxy S3 GT-I9300 from the PC.
6-The Jelly Bean 4.2.2 XXUFME7 firmware is right in this instance on the device’s “About phone”. Now run along and check it out!
NOTE: After you’ve spotted it, the guide will be over for you. But it will continue for owners who experience issues with the phone; like getting it stuck in either the Welcome screen or in a boot loop.
To take care of that, you need to take the battery out first, then put it back in. After that you will have to repeat the entire tutorial from start to finish.
ROOT OF 4.2.2 XXUFME7
1-Download and extract CF-Root-SGS3-v6.4.zip. You will obtain a CF-Auto-Root-m0-m0xx-gti9300.tar.md5 file in the unzipped folder.
2-Extract Odin zip file and you will get Odin3 v3.07.exe.
3-Switch your phone off. And make sure that you wait 5-6 seconds to confirm complete the power down cycle.
4-You will then put your Galaxy S3 I9300 phone in Download Mode by pressing and holding down the Volume Down button, alongside Home and the Power button. A screen will then come up; warning you about entering into Download Mode, press the Volume Down key to continue to enter Download Mode. (vol- + home + power).
5-Run Odin3 v3.07.exe with Administrator rights.
6-Now that you are all prepared to root your phone, connect your Galaxy S3 I9300 with your PC. You will then see a notification appear in Odin in the bottom left saying “Added!!”. If for some reason, you do not see the said notification, try another USB port. If that too doesn’t work, then reinstall the USB driver. Once you successfully see the “Added!!” notification in Odin, you are good to go. Also, check for COM port being depicted by a number in ‘yellow’ to make sure that you have successfully added your device.
7-Select these files in Odin at their respective buttons:
------->Click the PDA Button, and select the CF-Root-SGS3-v6.4.tar file.
------->In Odin window, make sure Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time checkboxes are selected.
------->Double check everything. Hit the START button to begin the flashing process.
------->Once the flashing process is completed, the phone will automatically reboot and you will see a ‘Green’ PASS notification in the top-left- most box. You can unplug the device from the computer now.
Your Galaxy S3 I9300 running XXUFME7 Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean firmware is now rooted. If there are any issues, feel free to post in the comments section for our staff to take a look at it.
If I have helped you it pulsates thank you. Comment the problems.

There's a comma in the updater-script that's causing it. Line 6, if you want to fix it yourself.

I think guys @Sammobile are really working hard even on weekend, one more ICS leak in less than 24 hours. I am kind of started hating this flashing again and again. But that curiosity is forcing me to do it every time. So here it is, I9100XXLP2_I9100OXALP2_OXA firmware based on Ice cream Sandwich Android 4.0.3. Its really hard to say as of now that what is new in this I9100XXLP2 when compared to I9100XXLP1 but still I think this should be better than previous one. I will review it in detail soon by that time Please check the installation guide as well as changelog.
**This ROM is still in BETA and may not be good for daily use. But if you want to try it follow the procedure below. Upgrading firmware is a risky procedure.. Please do it at your own risk. **

Hi guys - please assist!
My wife's phone started to behave really strange:
- mic level during calls was super-low, but while recording vids: just fine
- started to be extra slow on simple tasks like opening sms messenger etc.
- sometimes I couldn't connect it to PC in order to transfer files
SO... I decided it's time to load new FW. It was also quite surprise because there was 5.0.1 release for her GT-I9506.
Declaimer: I have loaded FW via Odin multiple times for S3, S4, S5 and some other Samsungs so I consider myself quite semi-pro user.
I've downloaded proper software from site, new version of Odin and started the process. After just few seconds some error was displayed on Odin and it crashed. Phone stuck on Downloading phase with progress bar already displayed.
After a while I rebooted it and got this screen:

So, I dig a net a bit and I've tried following:
1. I tried to recover my old software with KIESv3 but phone wasn't detected (used XDA tutorial)
2. Tried to reflash again with Odin, but I got "There is no PIT partition" error - I downloaded some pit file for S4(9506) from some Indian site, but I wasn't able to check it
After above I read a net a bit more and wanted to check that pit file I've downloaded and... since then I am not able to connect phone to PC. I contantly get "Unknown device" notification on my Windows. What I have tried:
1. Rebooting multiple times Windows and phone
2. To start a phone in Download and normal (well, not normal now because of the error state but still...) mode multiple times
3. Reinstall USB drivers multiple times
4. Change USB slots - right now I am NOT able to use different cable nor different pc
5. Manually update USB drivers via Device Manager (I extracted drivers from exe file, but I got "up to date drivers" message)
After all it seems I am done. No new ideas whatsoever.
Phone is dead now.
I cannot connect it PC.
Crap.
Any ideas folks? Anyone?

You can calm down. Nothing wrong with the phone. This is just something that can happen.
In 99% of the cases this is solved by the following:
- use a different usb port when flashing with Odin
- Use a different usb cable when flashing with Odin.
Oh and for the low volume: Make sure the mic holes are clean. There could be dust in it.

Kies V3 does not support S4. You can try recovery mode with the proper - former - version :

OK it's alive AGAIN! So... It seems that she isn't really taking proper care of her phone as she claims to, because its' charging port seems to be loose a bit. I changed cable, set myself in strange yoga position also changed port and after about 20x added/removed notifications it stopped and allowed me to upload a system.
Thanks!
I have been trying to fix a Bluetooth issue on this unit I bought about a year ago and I chased this down the rabbit hole to locate a isobooot.bin for what looked like an identical Device under a brand name. I installed it but it's a different resolution and touch screen no longer works. Anyone have experience with these units? I'm also interested in the firmware for the newer 5" AA motorcycle display that seems to fix this BT issue. Thanks.

Update. I have located a compatible file under the Brand Name Maxca on FB and I have recovered this device. I would still like to learn more about mods and regular firmware updates. Thanks.

At this moment I have the August 2022 update, but thereis no option for change the boot logo and the UI of the home screen is different (in a bad way) then the advertised image, which havee big tiles...
Then we're basically looking for the same latest version - I only know about the Aug 22 version
So some info, I bought a "Carsara" branded one.
I was disapponted for 2 particolar reason, this is why I'm here.
1. the UI in the selling page was way more minimal and easy to use (mine was like a 1990 headunit)
2. there was no option to change the boot logo
Well, they send me and old firmware (Of another brand, ""Maxca"" ,wich I think it's the main producer of this devices) with the Old UI, it's fantastic, but the Android Auto Wireless it's not working anymore.
In this old firmware you can edit the boot logo with a lot of car brand.
Cerry on top if you whant to customize the boot spash screen with one created from you, create a "logo.jpg" image, resolution 1024x600 and"put it in the same USB where you put the ISPBOO0T.bin file. After two reboot you will see your logo on the boot up. NICE!!!!
On some of the latest firmware you only have to boot up the device and connect the usb with the "logo.jpg" inside, the device will do the rest. Reboot and engoy.
For who whants to try the old firmware with the WAY COOLER UI here is the link:
https://drive.google.com/drive/fold...onversation.0.0.1bc53e5fLQyHZL&usp=share_link
Basically I'm unable to have the OLD UI with a working Wireless Android Auto. It's very sad, the unit is nice.

Can you post a photo of the unit you have and what home UI you have now?
The unit I have is the exact unit in the original post (although the outlets are on the left side, not the right side).
I will have to try to remember to photograph the UI tonight when I am home. Regarding the boot logo- in the Engineer menu (or whatever it's called, pin 123456) there is an option to change the boot logo with several brand logos. I have read that if you great an image of the correct resolution and extension and place it on an SD card it might show up as an option on that screen.

Correct and it works, If you read up I've explained how, late I'll post some photo and videos to be more clear.
Honestly it's the first time I see no support on some software modding, and the market for this thing it's not small..
An alternative ip67 just a bit more refine and specific for motorcycle it's 250euros, I've payed mine 47euros.
