█ [HOW TO] Flash BADA 2.0 on your Wave 1 (S-8500)

I've seen many Indian & Other Country users having this problem, whenever they connect to Kies it states that their Firmware is latest or GT S-8500 does not suport initialization..........although they are running BADA 1.2
So here's your Solution
Things You’ll Need​
• Firmware - http://www.samfirmware.com [Search for your model w.r.t your Country]
• Multiloader - http://uploaded.to/file/4id4wg9q
Instructions​
• First of all Extract the Firmware package.
• Then switch off your Phone and remove sim card & Memory card before the process.
• Also, don’t forget to do a Backup.
• Then (while the phone is turned off) Hold Volume Down + Lock Key + Power Off key for a few Seconds until you see ‘Download Mode’ on the Screen.
• Now, connect your phone to your PC via USB.
• Now in Multiloader you must see COM4[Ready] or COM5 [Ready]…..or something like that appearing after connecting the phone.
• Now (in Multiloader) check LSI. Then check boot and check Full Download.
• After that select click boot and select the folder ‘Boot Files’
• Then Click on ‘Port Search’. & Then click ‘Download’
• Now let the phone restart and pull out the batteries and again put it back in Download Mode.
• After that, click ‘Amss; and select the ‘Amms’ file.
• click ‘apps’ and select the ‘apps_compressed’ file
• click ‘rsrc1′ and select the ‘Rsrc_S8500_[Country]_ODD’ file
• click ‘Rsrc2′ and select the ‘Rsrc2_S8500(Low)’ file
• click ‘CSC’ and select ‘CSC_S8500_[Country]_ODD.csc’ file
• click ‘SHP APP’ and select ‘ShpApp.app’ file
• click ‘FOTA’ and select ‘bplib_S8500Op[Country]Common.fota’ file
[ALL THE ABOVE FILES ARE TO BE SELECTED FROM THE FIRMWARE PACKAGE]
• then click ‘Port Search’ and after that Finally click ‘Download’ and Wait for the phone to Restart and you’re DONE.
• Ask if any problems
• Hit the THANKS Button if i helped you at any Moment

Just reflash with any rom it will work.

Hi! i have a friend who have a Wave 8500L , im from ARGENTINA, and there is no actualization in my country , the closest one is from VENEZUELA, but it changes the PDA and CSC

U r missing Factoryfs (.ffs) file
If error presist try flashing SHPAPP only

I didn't check FFS because it's not mentioned by the OP. Anyways, i solved it by following the instructions here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1732287.

I think, DDLC2-FW is a complete FW...
So, FFS is mandatory...
You need FFS file... Otherwise Flash will not work...

You are not having the complete firmware package
download the correct Firmware again and then try

I have downloaded the XELF1 firmware (Russia). Where dafuq are those boot files?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And btw...do I need to root my phone to get 2.0 and after to install a custom rom?

Hi XELF1 is update so it is normal for empty boot files
I suggest Download full firmware for Russia XELB2 and after flashing try update with XELF1
and Rooting is for android.Bada doesn't need root

I know how to use downloader V5.65, i have update the... not sure if is firmware, and now the phone look like a bada 2.0, have chaton, still the bada 1.1 is the version.

Hi.There is no bada 2.0 for small waves like 525,533.There is only bada 1.1 value pack.You can find firmware on Sammobile

Well, i had to unlock the network but then I got only sos calls
And the problem with the only sos calls were old sim card
I just changed the sim card at my provider and it works!!

I updated Bada 1.2 to Bada 2 through Kies.
Now I wish to install a custom rom. But in case something goes wrong, i should be having Bada 2 firmware to flash again. I searched extensively for Bada 2 firmware for Wave GT-S8500. I could downloaf zip from Sammobile. But while opening the file i get a mesaage "the file you are trying to open is either not an archive or is damaged". Without backup Bada 2, i cannot go ahead with custom rom.
Could anyone provide me with Bada 2 zip?

On sammobile site there are two firmware files for same pda and csc for GT-S8500. One is an Android 2 version and another is a Bada 2 version. I wonder what could be Android 2 version. Can anybody explain this?

READ FIRST THEN DO (Dont do this the first time you read this)
I have made a .zip file so that you can fix your Motorola Atrix 4G Hard OR Soft Bricked!
Steps​
1. Unzip files to a WINDOWS computer with archiving program (archiving program preferred but not required).
2. Not requred to read: READ ME!!!!!!!!.txt if you read this...
3. Install everything in INSTALL ME BEFORE STEP ONE (in bricked folder).
4. Open step one and flash me.
5. Flash 1FF-olympus-user-2.3.6-4.5.141-111212-release-keys-signed-ATT-US-GAS_NA_OLPSGBATTSPE_P012.sbf with RSD Lite (it should say failed to boot 1 when finished).
6. When done go back and open step two, part one, and the Open MAIN and select 1 folders.
7. Open Main and select 1
8. FOLLOW THE STEPS AND IF YOU GET FAILED TO BOOT 0x1000 DO NOT WORRY
9. Go to part two of step one
10. Open MAIN and select 2
11. FOLLOW ALL STEPS (it should say unlocked in the top left corner when done)
12. Go to step three
13. Choose if you want
a. Gingerbread stock no root.
b. Ice Cream Sandwich stock root (YES ICS FOR YOUR ATRIX NOT A THEME)
c. Jelly Bean root (CyanogenMod 10.1)
14. Put the .zip/.zip's in a memory card.
15. Turn on the phone (Power button AND volume DOWN button)
16. Go to Android Recovery and press the volume up button
17.Make a backup to sd card! (nandroid backup)
18. Open install .zip from sd card, select Internal (if its not there its in external)
19. Flash desired firmware (ICS, Cynogenmod, or Gingerbread) and reboot the phone.
On reboot phone will startup by saying unlocked (top left corner) and it will flicker the screen and eventually turn black, BE PATIENT BOOTING YOUR PHONE WILL TAKE A WHILE ESPECIALLY THE FIRST TIME!
NOTE THERE IS A RAMFIX.zip IN THE ICS FOLDER THIS IS FOR IF YOU ARE USING THE ATRIX 4G INTERNATIONALLY (Do not flash if you are in the U.S)
DO NOT USE ON BELL ATRIX THIS IS FOR AT&T ONLY. (sorry the international user thing is misleading, it means for at&t Atrix 4G in international country
NOTE: Carrier does not matter i.e i have a at&t Atrix 4G on T-Mobile... )
Are you tech savvy just switch the roms i provided with any other one (Make sure to follow instructions on how to flash THAT SPECIFIC ROM)

and @ravilov cause more problems? you have a CHOICE of ICS or Gingerbread, I do not force you to use ICS,
I simply recommend it over Gingerbread.

I suspect he did read all the text for I had the same problem. For whatever reason, you must have a premium account to download the file, even if you do click on the text.

Have I just killed my wife's phone? (fw upgrade issue + unknown device)

Hi guys - please assist!
My wife's phone started to behave really strange:
- mic level during calls was super-low, but while recording vids: just fine
- started to be extra slow on simple tasks like opening sms messenger etc.
- sometimes I couldn't connect it to PC in order to transfer files
SO... I decided it's time to load new FW. It was also quite surprise because there was 5.0.1 release for her GT-I9506.
Declaimer: I have loaded FW via Odin multiple times for S3, S4, S5 and some other Samsungs so I consider myself quite semi-pro user.
I've downloaded proper software from site, new version of Odin and started the process. After just few seconds some error was displayed on Odin and it crashed. Phone stuck on Downloading phase with progress bar already displayed.
After a while I rebooted it and got this screen:

After above I read a net a bit more and wanted to check that pit file I've downloaded and... since then I am not able to connect phone to PC. I contantly get "Unknown device" notification on my Windows. What I have tried:
1. Rebooting multiple times Windows and phone
2. To start a phone in Download and normal (well, not normal now because of the error state but still...) mode multiple times
3. Reinstall USB drivers multiple times
4. Change USB slots - right now I am NOT able to use different cable nor different pc
5. Manually update USB drivers via Device Manager (I extracted drivers from exe file, but I got "up to date drivers" message)
After all it seems I am done. No new ideas whatsoever.
Phone is dead now.
I cannot connect it PC.
Crap.
Any ideas folks? Anyone?

You can calm down. Nothing wrong with the phone. This is just something that can happen.
In 99% of the cases this is solved by the following:
- use a different usb port when flashing with Odin
- Use a different usb cable when flashing with Odin.
Oh and for the low volume: Make sure the mic holes are clean. There could be dust in it.

Kies V3 does not support S4. You can try recovery mode with the proper - former - version :

OK it's alive AGAIN! So... It seems that she isn't really taking proper care of her phone as she claims to, because its' charging port seems to be loose a bit. I changed cable, set myself in strange yoga position also changed port and after about 20x added/removed notifications it stopped and allowed me to upload a system.

Remove bloatware from Galaxy View without Root (Require PC)

i remove Family Square pretty useless for me but it cool is also remove icon in the left bottom corner the app calls com.samsung.android.familyshare.dashboard in the Debloater thank google search :victory:
But Debloater dont delete the apps only block it so it dont show up in the tablet you can always restore it complete removal of Apps Require root
i hope this gonna help you guys without Root for remove apps on it also hope the root gonna coming out soon

I tried to disable family square and that video page because i don use it and hate the icons i never use. Like your clean look but it doesn work for my view. After a reboot the icons are stil there.
How did you do that?

did you use Debloater or that apps Package Disabler he post on

Package Disabler didn't work for me.
Debloater hides apps fine though.

I just bought package disabler from ospolice aiming to remove that in my case unused video-startscreen.
So far i couldnt remove it but it wont start any app when i click on it leaving me not too happy as i wanted to get rid of that waste of screen-estate.
Any hints on how i could do that with package disabler?

After disabling all bloat-packages (which did not remove the video-home-screen as mentioned above) I re-enabled some and possibly also disabled a package so that my galaxy view now won't launch the android UI but hangs after the Samsung animation repeatedly showing a warning message 'GUI stopped' (translated meaning).
I can hit 'OK' how often I want, the andoid-UI won't show; luckily, I can still enter ODIN-Flash-Mode by holding Vol-Up and Vol-Down while powering the device on.
The big question for me now is: where do I get the original samsung ROM to re-flash and hopefully unbrick my galaxy view?
EDIT: I've found my countries version on the following sites:

- http://www.sammobile.com (requires registration, slow free download (15kbps))

i wonder which of those is trustworthy? any experiences with any of the mentioned sites?
speedwise: downloads from rapidgator and samdowloads load rather fast in my case (>200kbps), samsung-firmware is capped at 75kbps.
any ideas on this are very welcome!
EDIT2: downloaded ROMs from mrcrab.net, samdownloads.de and samsung-firmware.org, they all yield the same T670UEU1AOJC_T670OXX1AOJC_HOME.tar.md5 with the same md5-hash e3a20cc856904f97f107e5136eed22cf so I guess/hope that they represent the original ROM...
EDIT3: re-flashing via ODIN succeeded but UI did still not come up after a restart so i also wiped data and performed a factory reset. afterwards UI came back and the t670 was of course factory reset. at least my tablet is not semi-bricked any more.
so... i still have to find a way to get rid of that stupid video-home-screen. if anyone succeded please outline what steps were performed.

i wonder which of those is trustworthy? any experiences with any of the mentioned sites?
speedwise: downloads from rapidgator and samdowloads load rather fast in my case (>200kbps), samsung-firmware is capped at 75kbps.
any ideas on this are very welcome!
EDIT2: downloaded ROMs from mrcrab.net, samdownloads.de and samsung-firmware.org, they all yield the same T670UEU1AOJC_T670OXX1AOJC_HOME.tar.md5 with the same md5-hash e3a20cc856904f97f107e5136eed22cf so I guess/hope that they represent the original ROM...
EDIT3: re-flashing via ODIN succeeded but UI did still not come up after a restart so i also wiped data and performed a factory reset. afterwards UI came back and the t670 was of course factory reset. at least my tablet is not semi-bricked any more.
so... i still have to find a way to get rid of that stupid video-home-screen. if anyone succeded please outline what steps were performed.

Odin Nand Write Start Fail

Greetings developers, superusers, and all those far more knowledgeable in all things tech than I....! (Given that the last time I considered myself 'knowledgeable' computers were still running DOS, that pretty much means all of you here). I humbly implore you for your help in rooting my Note 3 for the first time. Given that I have just learned what rooting is and the basics of how to do it in the past 24 hours, I will provide as much information as I can regarding my specific issue, and ask that your answers be detailed enough that I may follow your instructions step by step.
Phone: Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (SM-N9008) from China
Build: LRX21V.N9008ZMUGPA1
Android Version: 5.0
Current Provider: T-Mobile
Reason for Rooting: A family member received this phone free from his company, and in turn gave it to me, as I needed a new phone at the time. Unfortunately, since China and Google weren't on the friendliest terms, Google services are not installed on the device, and there is no option for adding a google account, google play services, google play store, etc. This severely limits the practicality and function of the phone here in the US by not allowing me to install or run any apps that require google play services. There does not appear to be a way to install Google services on the phone without rooting it first.

Actions attempted thus far:
1. Downloaded latest version of Kies from Samsung website, which in turn downloaded Samsung USB drivers. Confirmed that phone has latest firmware. Backed up phone contents. Disconnected phone and closed Kies.
2. Downloaded CF AutoRoot for sm9008 (tar.md5 file) and Odin 3.10.6 from following link: https://download.chainfire.eu/359/CF-Root/CF-Auto-Root/CF-Auto-Root-hlte-h3gzm-smn9008.zip, as was instructed in this post from 2013: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=46098951&postcount=3
3. Enabled developer options in phone, and selected USB debugging. This is currently the only option enabled under developer options. Verify apps via USB is unselected.
4. Put phone in download mode, connected to PC (6+ year old Toshiba laptop running Windows 10) using original Samsung USB cable, successfully connected to Odin, and followed instructions as outlined in following post from 2013: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=46098944&postcount=2
5. Received nand write start fail error as shown below:
6. Repeated step 4 with a different USB port, Odin version 3.12.3, Odin version 3.11 and a .tar file (no md5 extension), and Odin version 3.07, all with same exact result: nand write start fail. Still able to restart phone and use it normally (thank goodness).
7. Discovered the following thread from 2014: http://forum.xda-developers.com/chef-central/android/nand-write-start-fail-odin-soluction-t2851096 but did not take any further actions, as I do not completely understand why the error is occurring, and do not completely understand the specific instructions in the thread, or whether they pertain to my particular phone and situation. (Is the fact that I have Android 5.0 running on the phone part of the issue?)
8. Post my plea for help on XDA forum, which you are reading now. Please explain in layman's terms why I am getting this error, if there is a reliable fix that is not likely to brick my phone (with detailed instructions), or if there is another method by which to get google play services on my phone.

The screenshots are not visible to me. Maybe try windows 7? You're flashing auto root in the ap/pda box?
Not sure that rooting will allow for the installation of google services on the phone but it's worth a try.

Im not sure why the images arent showing. I can email you the link...copying and pasting the links in the thread doesn't seem to work for whatever reason. Yes, Im placing the .tar.md5 or the .tar file in the AP field. All other fields are empty. Unfortunately, I dont have the option of rolling back my laptop to Windows 7.
Any other suggestions? What about the thread I mentioned in Step 7. Does any of that make sense to you?

THAT WAS IT!
I have to admit, I had no idea what a reactivation lock was, but after googling it, I went into my system settings, general, security, find my mobile, turned off remote control, and unchecked reactivation lock.
I then tried rooting again with Odin version 10.6 and CF Auto Root for smn9008, and it worked!! The phone rebooted on its own, and I was able to verify Root access by the appearance of the SuperUser app on my phone. I also confirmed by running the Rootchecker app, which I had downloaded previously. Whats even better is that so far I still have all my files and apps on my phone...I havent had to do a factory reset as of yet.
You have no idea how many hours Ive scoured the web for an answer. This was apparently a very common error that hundred of thousands of people ran into -- and I have not seen your solution posted anywhere! I will be sure to update the thread in Sep 7 to reflect your answer, and give you the credit.
Now the next step is to figure out how to "flash" Google apps services onto the phone. I suppose Ill first have to google what "flashing" is. lol. From what Ive seen thus far from previous googling, there have been some instruction on how to do this using a program called CWM. However, it seems I have SU instead...im not sure how this differs. So off I go to do more googling...
