Could somebody help me here. i cant get my friends photo albums to show the photos. is this a common issue wit hblackstone roms? or something not working on mine? i have the blackstonehenge 2.0 2.5 rom.
i go to my contacts page, and open the online album, it shows me the title of the albums and how many photos are held in each, yet the images are blank.
Any ideas on a fix?
I have already applied the fix to move all apps to NAND. And the overall performance of the phone is very good. next to no lagging at all.
But there are at least two lists where the scrolling is awful
1. Contacts. History list.
2. Dialer. Call Log
The second list I think is a subset of the first. The second is slightly faster than the first. But both are extremely jerky.
I have seen another post talking about jerky scrolling in the messaging apps with large number of text messages. Does everyone see this?
Maybe because there's so much ? But mine is too..
I am too lazy to filter through all the search results.
With the X10, I have been backing up and restoring via the stock phonebook. However, it has been rather frustrating for me to edit the phone number every time I need to restore from a previous backup.
Is there a way to chnage the way the phone numbers are displayed? I really do not like this string format for the phone numbers "xxx-xxx-xx". Can it be changed to "xxxxxxxx"?
I don't think you can do that on 2.1 Try some of the custom roms on Froyo for X10 they are very stable and awesome and the displaying of digits is without dashes...not to mension how great fast and crisp the phone gets on 2.2
Hi, Did anyone manage to sync high resolution facebook contact pictures to google contacts in CM7? I know that there are third party apps available, but I am looking for a system mod.
The following 2 will make CM7 exceptional.
1) Bigger caller ID (I am ok even if it is not full screen)
2) High resolution picture sync using the default facebook app (currently, quality is too bad when google contacts are used)
If anyone could help!?, will be grateful!

Hello good Samaritans,
So my issue is that since I tried moving via SmartSwitch my conversation history from my iphone 4s back up to my new Samsung Galaxy s5, there are issues with the stock messaging app. At first it would not let me scroll properly the list of conversations (jumping back up), and the history of those conversations (jumping back down). I don't know if it's because I already had new messages on that phone beforehand. Rebooting would make the problem go away temporarily, but then it'd be back. After I deleted the "SmartSwitch" folder from the phone manually, the jumping hasn't happened again (so far) but I think the stock messaging app is still much more laggy than it was before I started using that infernal NotSoSmartSwitch. Also, strangely, most of the conversation history I transferred from the old phone disappeared, but not all.
Has anyone had similar experience? How can I restore my phone's lost innocence (that is, how do I get rid of any leftover harmful effect of PrettyDumbSwitch, such as the lagging), preferably without resetting the whole phone?
Thanks!!

Well, I didn't read everything that you wrote because you're not using paragrahs for some reason. Which made your post too hard to read. But if I got the gist of it, you don't like the effect of smart switch on your SMS app. And you want to know if you can completely revert the smart switch settings.
The best way to revert settings is to restore a backup. If you didn't make a backup, that is something that you should take time to organize.
Simply turning off smart switch should stop it. But some apps also require that you clear the app and system caches. So go to Settings > Applications > Application manager > all > smart switch. Assuming that you can find it (sometimes apps show up under somewhat different names), choose clear cache. Then clear data. The latter step is basically setting the app's user settings back to default.
Then go to recovery mode (ensure that your phone is powered off, then press and hold volume up + home + power) and choose wipe (system) cache from the on screen menu.
Should you have ongoing problems and no backup to restore.. then the last resort would be to do a factory reset and /or reinstall the stock firmware with Odin or Kies. The former erases user files and defaults settings. And the latter will replace all system files.
.
That was bloody difficult to read
