Boys then;
Those of you who bought a car charger 1A or 2A is the who's already?
No, because after several recommendations both here and in other forums everyone said (the most experienced) take it from 1A etc. ..
I have noticed that the previous one that was 500/700 and this map from heat 1A. The only difference POSITIVE, obviously 1A charged before.
While you do so, or maybe you noticed?

Hmm thought the usb cable unplugged from the wall charger so it could be used on a computer. At any rate I have noticed that my Kindle charger works great on my Defy.
I used the charger of an HP Touchpad with 2000 mAh instead of the 800mAh of the Defy charger and would say it charges much faster. Unfortunatelly i "had to" sell the HP Touchpad with its charger and i am looking for another good USB-Charger. In the past i bought one from ebay for not much more than 1€ but it only has 500mAh i am thinking about this one "from HTC" with 1mAh
ebay.com/itm/170738630232[/url]
This one is listed with 2100mAh: ebay.com/itm/170767447174
I believe that you think on output current. That is mA, not mAh. And ofc that it chargers faster, just like you eat faster with bigger spoon
hello cickvoa,
you are right, it is mA, because milliampere per hour (mAh) is for battery's capacity and not for output currents. i hope everyone knows what i mean.
on the other hand i guess that the charging unit is also a factor the charging speed depends on. is it possible that a too high output current could damage the phone?
is anyone able to suggest a good charger with a current >= 1000 mA?
regards ladiko
It is not possible do damage charging unit, cause it will take current that needs. For example: USB on PCs is 5V/500mA (500mA is MAX current that source (USB) gives), and when you plug mouse it takes only 100mA. So, charger with 2A output is MAX, and defy takes less current
Is it dangerous for my battery or my my nexus s to charge my phone with a 100mA charger. With this charger and fast charge the full charge take me 1h22m .
envoyé de puis mon Nexus s, aiiiiight ! (Michel rules the world)
I imagine you mean 1000ma and not 100ma, right? And yes it is. It's not designed for that and it's way over the usual USB tolerance for amperage (although the Nexus S uses a 750ma charger, so it could be slightly more forgiving)
It is not a problem. The phone will only draw the current it was designed to draw. I use a 1500 ma charger. You could use a 50,000 ma charger if one existed. The phone determines the current draw.
fast charge on = voltage regulator disable ===> battery cells overload
Well... standard USB ports give max 500mAh, but Samsung's charger offers up to 2000mAh, depending on the model (the one I'm using right now is rated 700mAh), so as long your device is able to negotiate the needed current, there should be no problem, provided you choose a trustworthy charger manufacturer instead of a Chinese wannabe crap

Hello, It someone used on N4? I'm looking one of samsung, is written 0,5/2A. It will reduce the time of charge? It will disintegrate the battery? Thanks in advice.

It will do neither of those (Well, maybe the battery will charge a liiiittle bit faster). The charging circuit will pull only a certain amount of current, most likely around 1.2 amps, no matter how much power the charger can supply.
The phone's charging circuit (load) won't draw any more current than it does from the stock charger, no matter how much current is available.

^ this. However, if the voltage is higher (>5V, if I remember correctly), you'll want to avoid using the charger.

Ok so is useless that "fast charger". I thinks that 2A in 1 hours delivers 2000mha so have to complete charge in just 1hours and something (to arrive to 2100mha)

Even if our devices were truly capable of accepting an input of 2A, the charge isn't linear; i.e. the charge rate isn't constant. Take a look at this thread to see what I mean! It's a good read for everyone.
Your battery gauge is lying to you (and it's not such a bad thing)

I use the charger that came with my HP Touchpad, which is a higher rate charger than the stock Nexus 4. It does make the phone charge faster, but it also heats it up. I don't use it as my full time charger, but its nice for a faster top up.
Hello,
:silly: I think this is probably a stupid question, but I wonder if I could use so called "fast charging 2.0" charger which output is 9V and 1,67A or 5V and 3A one without frying my phone, because Gionee E7 has the snapdragon 800 and it would be a shame to not take the advantege over it and their stock 5V and 1A charger is taking too much time to charge. I tried asking Gionee support this question but they kept asking for my phone number and did nothing
I hope someone could provide me answers about it

What about 9V instead of 5V?
Evening all,
My Pro been dispatched, and I've just read something to say they might not come with a quick charger as standard. So is anyone confirm please? Cheers

It doesn't, as far as I read in all the reviews (my pro in on its way as well). The worse is that i couldn't find any compatible charger with the pump express mediatek technology. In any case, again from the reviews, it appears that the charger the ships with the phone manages to charge it in a reasonable couple of hours

Mine came with a charger labelled "Xiaomi MDY-08-EF" which is allegedly a "high-speed charger" according to http://en.miui.com/thread-105602-1-1.html . Using an external USB power meter it registers up to around 1.8A at 5V while charging, dropping down to lower amps as the phone gets full. The Ampere app doesn't measure current correctly on this phone (last time I tried it anyway) so you can't check it that way.
Thanks I shall wait and see, did see an anker USB cable quick charger on amazon so maybe that's worth a look https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01CJ9OEZG/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_apa_nxxpybGEQ7S20

It definitely doesn't fast-charge with Quick Charge chargers, I have two different ones and they don't work (just charge at regular speed).
That's for the snapdragon quick charge standard, the mediatek has its own technology called pump express. That's why the quick charge one won't work except as a "normal" charger

Hello,
I received my Redmi Pro one weeks ago and did some charge test. My Redmi Pro still blocked to 1A : official charger, powerbank Xiaomi, LeEco Pump Express fast charger ...
Do you have an idea ?
Tested with 2 Custom Roms: Xiaomi.eu and Miui-France (French users)
Thanks.
The stock charger is good enough for that 4050maH battery
I know one thing I need something better than the Amazon basic 2.1amp charger which I keep at work. 3 & half hours charge and still only about 75 percent ?
