Hi all,
In regards to the ongoing bluetooth issue on the latest cm10.1 kernel, our buddy dhacker doesn't have a headset to stream to in order to test fixes. Does anyone have an extra pair of headphones or a few bucks to send him? You could of course donate anyway just because dh is an awesome person. Linkhttp://goo.gl/KfHAC

I could pitch a 5 spot for now, he does a lot of great work, and deserves that and more.
You know you can get cheap BT headphones for like $10. Cashing in cans and bottles can do that... Just sayin'.
Why should he do extra work when he's helping us?

Most of us with ATT phones pretty thrilled by the recent turn of events. But the journey is just beginning, and there is a lot of work ahead. As much as I'm sure we all want to throw a few bucks to the ATT/Moto employee who leaked, it's probably better for their job security that we can't
It's my opinion that the amount of work that's been done so far pales compared to what's ahead. Many exciting things are possible, but most will take days, weeks or months of work. A few useful projects I can think of include:
Porting AOSP trees (CM7?) for Atrix
Debug kernels with USB or 3.5mm serial uart
Newer (.36? .38?) kernels with various tweaks
Overclock kernels or overclock modules that work safely
A rebased webtop: Ubuntu 10.10 or 11.04, or ... Gentoo?
An AOSP-based ROM that leaves all webtop functionality intact.
(I'm saving my donation money for the last one, +extra$ if the front camera is v4l accessible from webtop. PM Sogarth or myself, if interested in webtop-related dev)
Those are just a few off the top of my head... sky's the limit! Lots of nifty hacks with HDMI/Webtop/Lapdock are possible... Pick your pet project, start a thread, collect names and guaranteed minimum donations, keep a google spreadsheet, do what it takes. Or if you're a dev, float your ideas...
I'd really like to encourage collective development. In many cases projects are solo efforts, but they don't have to be. I don't do it for the money and collaboration is more fun for me than competition. It makes me sad when code is not public and other people can't extend or port a work. But competition for bounties can discourage this openness, and I think that's a pity. I feel best dev work comes from a love of creativity, pushing limits by making useful things that were never possible before ...not for money or celebrity.
So I think, if a project was a cooperative work, perhaps developers could agree and shoot a mail to the 'bounty' coordinator indicating who is doing what work, so that if it succeeds, such bounties could be shared between a team.
And last but not least... Unless a dev needs custom hardware or a phone...
I encourage you to ONLY donate once a project is complete!!
I've got to take 3 weeks off to take care of personal things, but am hopeful to see what the state of AT&T Atrix is like on XDA when I get back =)
PS. Let me clarify: I am not starting any bounties! Please do not PM with how much you would pay for x.y.z. Please do PM if you want to dig deep into webtop internals. As I am interested in working on Atrix still, there could be a conflict of interest if I organized anything. Please, if you believe in a project, find like-minded people and organize a bounty thread yourselves!
I think this is a great idea!

+1 for MIUI
actually the MIUI team states that they will support most of the devices CM support, if CM doesnt support a device the MIUI team wouldnt even touch that with a pole
it might be a better idea donating a few machines + a few bucks directly to CM and get the ball rolling there instead of "porting"
I think we need a bounty for someone who can unlock the bootloader for international versions

The unsung hero is the unknown source who gave us a signed unlockable BL. Unless you can find a leak from a carrier or Moto connection, who has similarly signed unlockable BL for international versions, good luck. As far as I know no one has come close to unlocking the Atrix boot signature chain. It may be possible, but it probably isn't, and it hardly seems like anyone is trying. I'd really like to clarify we didn't do anything besides notice this was possible, and then package things up after we got a lucky leak. It was probably coming anyway, but someone out there wanted to help us early =)
That said, a bounty for kexec working on international Atrix is not a bad idea.
Would be great if everything will work fine expecially Ubuntu.
I never needed it but I think now it is about time!
anyone here a dev / got connection with any devs in CM ?
whats the donation process ? do we just ship them a phone a case of beers ?
I want to help with $$$ for all the work. I have a Telcel Atrix in Mexico and would like to help devs. I have Paypal.

That's because MIUI is a rip of CM7 with crappy "customizations."
They don't touch non-CM7 phones because they can't; they don't have the skill to build the full ROM themselves.

Love having the hdmi out on the Motorola xoom, and it seems to work perfectly on my hdtv. My question is, I have a projector unfortunately with no hdmi. It does, however , support vga. So I was wondering, if anybody on the forum had any luck or experience with adapters converting hdmi from the xoom ?
Thanks in advance to anybody That has any input.
HDMI<->VGA requires digital<->analog conversion, and requires active electronics rather than just a dumb cable. In layman's terms, it means "expensive". Some solutions per below link (from a Goog search, no endorsement intended),
http://www.hdtvsupply.com/hdtovgaad.html
Thanks e.mote, I appreciate it.
For the price involved with conversion you are better off getting an hdmi projector.

I'm sure they'll make the app Xperia Play optimized, although it's hard to belive because they have their own controller for 50$, but, who knows!

The answer they gave me yesterday doesn't look like a scripted one compared to the OP.

The controller that came with the MicroConsole doesn't, it's only the new Universal Controller that came out on Friday that does as it has built-in Bluetooth to connect to mobiles/tablets
Ahm, you guys know that you can play OnLive only in selected countries (US, UK, Canada, ...) , right?
And you can use xperia play buttons with this OnLive app:

Too often our patients get the better of us, alot of us may come off demanding ( sadly, some are). However, I personally would like to thank all of you for your hard work. Without you guys, this community probably wouldn't exist in the capacity it does today. I've been around Android since the OG Droid release (admittedly on Droidforums.net mostly as this forum confused me at the time). You guys put in long hours sometimes, doing things most of us could only dream of doing. I can't wait to see what you will cook up for the SGS3, and I'm personally grateful for the quick work you guys have made of the VZW SGS3 issues at hand. If I weren't so broke, I'd still be actively donating. Once again. THANK YOU TO ALL DEVELOPERS!

I definitely feel like excitement over yet to be released work can come off as demanding. Tonality is difficult to convey in text and I think the vast majority of users are simply attempting to express their fandom.
I have been biting my tongue about mentioning AOKP because I don't want them to feel pressured. My intent, of course, would only be to let them know that I CAN'T FREAKIN' WAIT BECAUSE IT'S GOING TO BE TITS!
Perhaps a simple "Thanks in advance." is a better way to go.

Hey guyz should i buy Razr M or Razr Xt912 Both are at Same price ..... In same Condition .....and if Razr M are there any other variants i mean how should i know this Moto Razr M is Original ?
Unsure as to how you can tell if its an original M I didn't know the made fakes... But I've had both RAZR M is better by far... The only thing I miss about the xt912 is the mini HDMI port and webtop.... The M is smaller but I feel it feels better in my hand...RAZR m has 4.4.2 and the boot loader can be unlocked and (from the topics around here I gather) it can be gsm unlocked as well... The of RAZR has more internal storage but you have to use safe strap so that kinda takes what extra you had and can not be gsm nor boot loader unlocked... Of course the M has a better processor... I would definitely pick the RAZR M

Definitely RAZR M for its slim profile (while keeping the same same screen size) and performance that beats XT912 outta the park. The only occasion I'll want a XT912 is for its MAXX variant's superb battery.
Note that you should make sure it's a XT907 (Droid RAZR M) - NOT a XT905 (australian RAZR M), XT890 (RAZR i which looks highly similar), 201M (japanese RAZR M), or even XT901 (Electrify M).
I'm sure its XT907

Yeah, that's enough to prove its identity. Plus, watch the Verizon logos on *both front and back* of the phone. If it's not on the front - someone has swapped the screen glass. If it's not on the back - someone has swapped the back kevlar piece.
