I am running a Custom ROM (Stock 4.1.2 based) (DeadRage). I really enjoy the rom, however I have one problem with the messaging.apk.
Group Messaging does not work. Recipients do not receive messages but it shows to send on my end. Also sometimes pictures (mms) will not be received either by single or group recipients? No clue why this is, but I have asked for help on the original thread for this ROM and haven't received a response.
Does anyone have a deodexed ,stock 4.1.2 messaging.apk for RAZR M or any messaging.apk that will work for RAZR M?

not sure what happened but recently all my apps started acting up and nothing works.the only things i can kinda get working are
alarm app
facebook
keepsafe
chrome
these will work for a short amount of time but eventually all crash.and its happens a ton
i have a few other apps like
gbc ad
flashlight
google sky
snes droid
youtube
forum app
these do not work at all.these all do the same thing.all free base apps.so they launch.you see a add(thats normal.)than what is supposed to happen is app does whatever task it was designed for(reading forums.play gameboy games etc) but what happens is it keeps looping and starting back to launch..than add...than crash reboots self and starts again........

now i have been looking into it and i think my best and may be only option is a factory restore?i know that jb just came out and i seen a few things over the internet about splicing ics root with jb where i go back to stock .211 and than do stuff and than ill have rooted jb...which is what id like...but im not sure if that will fix the app issue.so what do yall recomend
factory restore than straight to jb?
or try to keep root than splice jb so i can stay rooted on jb but like i said not sure if that would fix my app issue
upgrading to jb isnt a nessicity at this time it just would be nice to do.i plan on upgrading at some point.but i much rather have my phone working correctly

ah!makes more sense now thanks man ill remember that for next time
seeing how the thread is already here i thought i would update it just in case someone comes along and has similar issues
i flashed phone back to stock.factory reset.reformat sd....so totally wipe clean and start over.and just redid root and still on ics and everything is working great now.didnt take but an hour.should have done that in the first place

It sounded similar and familiar but as i don't own a XT910 i was of no use.
But it seems like ur phone is similar to ours in some ways.
Just another heads up,
If you running ICS and then Safetrap and instal JB onto Slot 1.
Depending on the ROM it maybe very unstable also. I don't know why but maybe has to do with Kernel or Core files.
So what ever ROM you try to share with the Stock Rom try to keep them in the same Core Land aka ICS with ICS and JB with JB.
Just a thought someone that is more informed about this matter, feel free to elaborate =)
But for now I stick to same OS version on all my Slots in SafeStrap.
Hi guys today I got the notification of new JB for device XT925 vodafone
the OTA package is 98.21.27002.en.FR (53.3mb) i guess it's JB 4.1.2
I tried to update after securing root with voodoo root keeper, I get error during update installation.
anyone with one idea?
I have JB 4.1.1 (98.1.18002.XT925.Vodafone.en.FR)
I suspect busybox is interfering installation, but not sure, I don't have a custom recovery yet.
Anyone successfully have this version rooted?
I've read that if you have any frozen or deleted system apps, it can interfere with official updates in the way you describe.

This thread describes my problem, I can't take the OTA update. Thing is, I haven't deleted any of the stock SFR apps or bloatware.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, my friend is running Stock 4.3 MK2 with no root and has a weird issue with the stock messaging app. Whenever she receives a MMS group message and she replies back, a message is sent, then that same message is received back to her on the thread. (See Photo) I uninstalled all other SMS apps, but the problem still persists. Anyone have any troubleshooting tips? Would a Modem flash resolve this issue?

A friend gives me their number I text say hey they get it... every message I send after they don't receive... they text me I get them just fine... called vzw they say everything should be fine with my account...so... I'm on stock .3 deoxded debloated I've also tried latest version deoxded debloated...I've done 3x full wipes before flashing using twrp 2.3.6.. I've tried the old and the new radio... when I turn on 'delivery report' in stock messaging settings the messages sit at pending... the recipient in another county on an iPhone using at&t.. i do not use third party messaging apps...please note that I do not have access to a PC in any way, all I have are smart phones so I can not rsd... I thank you kindly for your time and any suggestions you may have...

I would try Handsent. It has worked for me when stock Telstra would not.
Get 263 e33 twrp?
Try fix permissions in rom mgr?
Ok .. I'll give that a shot... I used to use it on my d4 n forgot all about it...

still not able to send my messages to them... Flashed the E33..full wipes before flashing the old and new ota's full wipes flashed ota's then radios... Fix permissions... Its on my end ...has to be an issue with Verizon but their resolution is a replacement device and I'm not giving up my unlocked bootloader...I guess I'll have them send it out to see if its my device then send it back... In the event it is my phone I'll have to get a friend to sneak me a laptop to RSD (yes I have to sneak, the wife won't let me on a PC)

Unfortunately new Google Email 6.3 deletes mail from server when messages are deleted from inbox folder, although I set to delete NEVER message from server.
Can anyone post stock GoogleEmail.apk in Nexus Jelly Bean 4.3, that I can install like a normal apk in my S4 phone? I hope this old version haven't this bug...
