Can't boot into recovery mode - Droid RAZR M Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have my Fiance's XT907. I rooted and unlocked the bootloader with no problem but when I try to install a ROM or just even boot into recovery, I get the red triangle and android with his stomach open. I tried using ROM Toolbox, ROM Manager, Goo, and every time I try to flash TWRP in ROM Toolbox it gives me an illegal instruction error. I tried flashing it through fastboot and it flashed successfully, but still can't boot into recovery. The red triangle stays on the screen for maybe a minute, then the unlocked bootloader message appears and reboots normally. I don't get it. What do I need to do?

You have to flash your recovery in fastboot

you need to be plugged in via the usb(not wall charger) to be able to boot into recovery via the bootloader. its a bootloader bug. this info has been repeated over and over and over..
Yeah put a custom ROM with the reboot to recovery option and that'll fix it since you need the combo

[Q] How to Boot into CWM?

Power + Volume Up and Down just takes me to "FastBoot" or whatever you call it. I have my device rooted, bootloader unlocked, and CWM is flashed (I did all this through Nexus 7 Toolkit, it said it was successful.)
How do you boot into ClockWorkRecovery?
Thank you
EDIT: When I try to boot into recovery via the CWM App, it just takes me to "dead Android" with a warning sign.
You need to flash recovery again it sounds like.

iirc there is a bug in the bootloader regarding recovery
You need to be connected to a computer in order to boot to recovery from bootloader

Nexus won't boot properly after flash

Hey guys, I flashed SmoothRom via that app goo.im, and when I did it, it said that I needed a compatible recovery, so I flashed the one that it recomended. Well I flashed the rom, and now my Tablet won't boot properly. I can get it to fastboot, but even when I try to flash a recovery from fastboot, it gets stuck at the boot screen (Yes my bootloader is unlocked). I've been trying to use the Nexus 7 toolkit to flash the recovery, and it is saying that it is flashing successfully, but I still cannot boot into recovery. Any ideas? I know I'm not totally bricked cause I can still get into fastboot, I just need recovery to work so that I can flash a new rom and fix this issue!
Fixed it! Just flashed the stock recovery, wen't back into fastboot and flashed CWM. Mod's you can delete this thread now

Stock Lollipop boot issue

Hi,
I've decided to return to stock after using Cyanogenmod for quite a while. I used fastboot to install the stock ROM from the google developers site, but I'm getting stuck at the boot animation stage.
Others have said to lock the bootloader, but it still isn't booting.
I've tried to go into recovery, but I get an android lying on his bag with a warning triangle. Prior to this, I had ClockWorkMod recovery installed.
I've installed TWRP and that's functioning but has anyone any idea on how to get past the boot animation?
thanks

Boot into the stock recovery and do a factory reset. The dead android is the stock recovery. When you get there push vol up and the power key

Stuck in black screen, can't boot into fastboot mode

I got my Mi A1 today and it came with Android 7 installed, so I decided to install LOS. I unlocked the bootloader and then I booted into TWRP using fastboot (I didn't flash it), it gave that "system is read-only" warning. I tried to reboot to system without doing anything and it was stuck in a boot loop. Then I booted into TWRP again and flashed LOS sucessfully. When I tried to flash gapps, however, it failed claiming I was still running Android 7. I rebooted and it booted sucessfully into LOS, but that was the last time the phone ever booted. Now it shows the unlocked bootloader message and then gets stuck in a blinking black screen. I can't even boot into recovery or fastboot anymore.

It seems you will have to flash stock ROM using Mi Flash (no idea how to use it so search it) and, once is done, flash LOS again.

I somehow managed to get to fastboot and then I used MiFlash to flash the stock rom. I'm back to the bootloop, which is an improvement, because at least I can consistently get into recovery and fastboot.
The phone got stuck in that black screen after I tried to flash LOS, should I actually do it again?
EDIT: I flashed the stock rom a second time and it's working again. I don't know why, but I'll take it.

Update to stock Pie before trying to reinstall LOS again. Hope this time works.
