[Q] How to Boot into CWM? - Nexus 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Power + Volume Up and Down just takes me to "FastBoot" or whatever you call it. I have my device rooted, bootloader unlocked, and CWM is flashed (I did all this through Nexus 7 Toolkit, it said it was successful.)
How do you boot into ClockWorkRecovery?
Thank you
EDIT: When I try to boot into recovery via the CWM App, it just takes me to "dead Android" with a warning sign.

You need to flash recovery again it sounds like.

iirc there is a bug in the bootloader regarding recovery
You need to be connected to a computer in order to boot to recovery from bootloader

CWM Problems

Okay, so when I try to boot into CWM, I get stuck on the "Google" screen... Any ideas as to why it won't boot? I used the Nexus Toolkit to install the recovery. Also, I reflashed the recovery via the Nexus Toolkit, and it it boots, but after I reboot into Android, turn off, and Fastboot, it won't reboot into recovery.. It's getting a little irritating to not be able to get into recovery
Yes , it happens to my device as well. I installed quick boot and use it to put the n7 to recovery. I. Guess this is an easy workaround.

In Bootloader cannot load custom recovery

A bit of a dilemma with my N7 from the bootloader I cannot load recovery.
When I select recovery it just displays the Google Logo
However when im in android and select boot recovery it boots straight into Clockworkmod. Strange.
I have tried flashing Clockworkmod a number of times and its still the same

you need to be plugged in via the usb(not wall charger) to be able to boot into recovery via the bootloader. its a bootloader bug. this info has been repeated over and over and over..
Yeah put a custom ROM with the reboot to recovery option and that'll fix it since you need the combo

Getting into recovery question

I have the issue where I can't get into recovery using the volume down plus power button. It just sits at the Google logo after I select recovery in the bootloader. If I use an app like goo manager it works and if I use the option built into the power menu in my current rom it works.
Is there a fix for this that is easier than putting everything back to stock and doing root and everything all over again? Like is there a fix that can be flashed in recovery? I have seen one post where someone said to flash a new bootloader but I don't really see any threads with flashable bootloaders.
You either need to update your boot loader or plug it into a computer while you press the power and volume buttons.
Here's the newest boot loader that's flash able from recovery.

Not able to boot into custom recovery

Using the LG Google Nexus 4 ToolKit, I did the 1 click for all operation [unlock, root, rename, busybox, custom recovery twrp]. I'm rooted properly but I'm just not able to boot into recovery. I tried booting to fastboot, selection recovery with the volume rocker, then pressing the power key, but this just got me back to Android in a minute or so. I downloaded an app from the Play store which boots into recovery but it also boots me straight to android.
I tried separately flashing the recovery via the ToolKit but again I always boot straight to android. How do I fix this?

flash your recovery via fastboot. fastboot flash it, dont fastboot boot it. fastboot booting it only gives you a one time use. also, if you are using the stock rom, you have to delete the recovery-from-boot.p file so your custom recovery doesnt get overwritten by the stock recovery.

[Q] Help booting into Recovery

Hi guys, I've unlocked my bootloader and flashed CWM from:http://www.clockworkmod.com/rommanager, I've flashed and didn't get any errors, boot to Android and did "adb reboot recovery", I get in a screen with the android with a red triangle, stayed for some mins and nothing, I turned off and boot to Android, turned off again and turn on by Power + Vol -, Select Recovery and samething...
obs: I used this tutorial: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2266654 and downloaded this SuperSU: http://download.chainfire.eu/345/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.51.zip
How can I boot to recovery?
Another thing does SuperSU v1.51 works on Android 4.3?
Thanks
The screen with just a red triangle is stock recovery. Press and hold power and press volume up and you should get the stock recovery menu.
Try flashing CWM from fastboot manually as it's not taking with ROM Manager (which I don't rate anyway)

If you have root use ROM manager to flash the recovery
From my BLACKED OUT N4
I've reflashed CWM and enter Recovery Mode not booting to Android, flashed SuperSU and set CWM to prevent to Android not flash stock recovery, everything working fine
