Hey guys,
Just wanted to know if there was any ROM out there with an option to calibrate the colors of the screen on the Nexus 4? I've been ok with it for months but now it's starting to annoy me... I'd like to make the colors more saturated and less washed out. Not only that but I'm looking to finally root my Nexus and install a new ROM and kernel. Thanks guy!

Flash a custom kernel. Most of them will allow you to tweak your colors to your content And there's a color spreadsheet in my sig. to get you started

Awesome! Thank you! What rom do you recommend I flash first? Is AOKP good?

I suggest PACman rom with latest Franco kernel or Faux kernel

It depends on what you want in a rom. Experiment and see what works for you.

I can definitely recommend Paranoid Android or SaberMod. I love the features of PA! But if you want speed, SaberMod + STS kernel is the fastest thing I've ever felt

Does Rasbeanjelly have brightness slider? I really like this feature and use it more often than i thought i would, now i can't live without it. can anyone out there using rasbeanjelly share a screenshot or just in words what kind of notification customisation options are available? thanks
No slider I'm aware of, just an option to toggle different levels of brightness in the notification bar.

I've been hearing alot about rasbean lately.
Could it be used as a daily driver?
Thanks

I mean the AOKP style slider, but this should work. Is there a theme out there which has a percentage to indicate the brightness? I use to have one of these but then I lost it.

No. It has the cm brightness slider. And I don't think there are any mods that add a percentage to it.

I've been using it for just over a month trying both Franco's kernel and the trinity kernel with very little time on the stock kernel. I've had three crashes in the last three weeks. Two of which may have been my fault for not fixing permissions after flashing a new kernel.
Edit: fixing Sig in text issue.

And as YOU can see it has ROM control which is part of AOKP not CM and rascarlo only uses CM code which means no part of AOKP is available.

it has nothing to do with ROM control. this theme is built with the t-mobile theme engine, so in theory it works on any rom with that feature: pa, cm10 and most other roms. all i am doing is a proof of concept, it is achievable, even though most themes dont have them.
give this a try: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1655946
Hi, I've tried searching and asking for this answer but i just got no reply...
Can anyone tell me which settings i could apply to get contrasty callibrated PA kernel colors to my Franco kernel? I've bought the Franco's app. Thanks, after seeing those colors i just can't settle with stock colors... they look way too faded

Try francos colours? I heard they are good?

Hey guys I hope I'm not the only one who doesn't like the percentage mod that goes over the battery. So basically I was wondering if there's anyway to make it like the GSIII and have it to the left of the battery icon. I know its a minor thing but I really appreciate it. Thanks in advance!
Percentage mod? You must be using a custom ROM.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
On gs3 there as an option on stock to show percentages
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda premium
The GS3 bone stock has the % option for the battery. Just try a few different ROMs there are a ton of battery mods built in plus I'm sure you can find a zip file to get this mod as well

Check out this thread. They're supposed to be for PA but I would guess that they may be applicable to any ROM with a theme chooser built in. Since there's no flashing involved there's also no harm in trying these out.
Try this:

I've had my Nexus 10 for 6 months and I love the crispy display and fast over all system, the only thing that intrigues me is the scrolling. I believe all sorts of browsing there's a delay when swiping from a page to another. Especially on the app drawer and Facebook app. Is there a way to fix this? Thanks!
Sent from my Nexus 10 using Tapatalk HD
Hello there!
If you look in to loading a custom kernel such as Ktmanta (which I recommend and use personally) I believe you will find the smooth scrolling you are looking for.

Cleanrom for a rock solid experience and fluid system. If you want features you can try aokp by mr robinson, or team eos for a basic rooted rom but still kept pretty slim and smooth.

Well, sorta dark anyway. I've noticed that they all seem to be a greenish/dark grey color. It's not horrible, just not my taste. I like my ROMs and apps the same way I like my coffee and women.... BLACK!
I had no problems with stock lollipop but I went back to slimkat for the blacked out theme. Nobody seems to have any blacked out themes on any of the multiple lollipop ROMs available. I keep watching for something to come out and then I'll upgrade.
