Out of random curiosity, what the hell is "windows 8 Extreme Edition" supposed to be? Win8 Enterprise for those who can't read, or something?
In any case, Win7 drivers will work fine.
You won't find drivers for an HD1243 because that is not an actual Intel model. What you have is the HD4000.
1243 is simply the amount of RAM it is using. The regular windows 7 drivers work, as does going into device manager, finding the hd4000, right click, update drivers.
There is no extreme edition of windows 8.

Hi, I've seen a lot of cooked ROM in this Elf Upgrading Thread and I was wondering how are they changing the RAM(Program) size? isn't it RAM, supposed to be a CHIP and not a program or some sort?
Here's the screenshot, release notes, and links of some ROM with different Storage & Program sizes

They indicate how much ram is free with this rom, not how much ram you have in total.
@havoncnl I do fully understand what RAM or ROM does, but what I don't understand is, how are they changing the sizes of HTC's Total RAM?

Elfin has 256mb Total Storage and the picture you put in the first post indicate that the free space is 161.77 the rest is occupied by the operating system (ROM) Also it has a RAM 128mb and the free is 75.53 (The rest is needed for ROM to function)
This is what cooked roms all about, by adding and removing stuff from original roms they can vary its size and ram requirements and inturn vary the remaining free space
Ha funny seeing Nullstring was also an Elfer, not an Elfin
Welcome to LiveAndroid, a LiveCD for Android running on x86 platforms.
Want to give Google Android a try, but don't feel like buying a T-Mobile G1/G2/G3? LiveAndroid lets you download a LiveCD disc image of the Google Android operating system. Just burn the image to a disc, stick it in a CD-ROM drive, and reboot your computer and you can check out Android without installing it or affecting any files on your PC.
You can also use the disc image in a virtualization application like VirtualBox, VMWare or Microsoft Virtual PC if you want to try the operating system without even rebooting your computer.

it s interressing
after the hackintoch, we have android ^^
Interesting stuff... can you install android apps in this ?
@theOne
yep, for sure
After ram upgraded to 128MB, my hw6965 can handle all suitable wm6.5 programmes for 240x240. iGO8 with TTS and terrain detail on runs very well.
system wm5 and wm6.1 will take 128mb ram straight away.
If you want to try upgrade ram , i will post how to and tools & chip where
all from current ebay list.

Anybody tested this on HW6915 device? Besides the memory chip, do I need any other chip for it to work? Links above are not valid anymore. Thanx.

Were the instructions to do this ever posted? I don't seem to see it in the thread =(
is there ANY development for Galaxy Core Prime "Value edition" SM-G361F .. ?
So, I got this phone as a gift. Being that I hate anything that has to do with Touchwiz and being that this "value edition" has completely different hardware than other versions of "Core Prime" phones, Im guessing this phone goes into the trash .. ?
Not only did Samsung for some unexplained reasons made 4 regular versions of this phone, but this value edition packs totally different hardware than all 4 "regulars". PDADB site has this info (what an awesome website for phones!) -
CPU: 64 bit Marvell ARMADA PXA1908 ('the F is this ? )
Graphic chip: Vivante GC7000UL ('the F is that ? )
some Samsung versions of chips .. ? I know my info on ARM chips, never heard of these.
I aint gonna root this ever .. ? let alone remove TW or install custom rom .. ?
If there is any info on this particular device, please share. Thanks in advance

So a real fedora installation is working now on my Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 Pro, this means real GPU rendering and everything. Some things aren't working at the moment so I can't release it yet , but I'm looking for someone that is good at bash shell scripting, and would maybe want to help out with creating the installer (the installer I created was just a quick hack). So if you're up for the job feel free to message me.
nice job!
a call for X-philes is in order
I'm interested in gnome working....pm coming...
Amazing!
Real GPU rendering!? Gnome!? Nice!
ps. Can the Steam games with it?

Definitely , the thing is that the touchscreen isn't working at the moment because of some driver issues, need to file a bug with the kernel but I'm not sure if to file it against the USB subsystem (Which doesn't seem to work), or if the drivers are just not compatible and need to be ported to the latest kernel. So there's some more work to do before making it usable.
And it will probably run faster than the android, since the kernel and its drivers will be compiled against the specific processor in these tablets, but for steam, that isn't created for handheld devices so the hardware might not be powerful enough, who knows.

Thank you
My goal is to run Indie Game (FTL, FEZ, ... ) and using Desktop os in Tablet
This is proving to be pretty difficult. There are basically 2 option for making this work.
a) running a kernel provided by lenovo (which is pretty bad and has old drivers for everything), I got this to build and work with the touchscreen, but it needs more hacking to not shut down automatically because of bad driver code
b) porting 2 drivers to the newest kernel (fsa9285 driver, and synaptics DSX)
Option b is most optimal, since we'd have good driver code running on the latest kernels, but hard if you don't know driver development (which I don't), but this is what I'm trying to do since it only involves a few files.
great job !
Excellent work ?
