Hi I'm trying to find a way to combine our stock messaging app and whatsapp,
If anyone has a way to do this please comment as this one is bugging me

This would be a lot harder than you imagine.
Firstly you have to find a way of merging the 2 sqlite databases for smsmms and whatsapp messages.
And even then you would have to rewrite both telephonyprovider and the whatsapp app itself to write new messages into both databases.
Actually giving it more thought you could symlink /data/data/com.android.providers.telephony/databases/mmssms.db and /data/data/com.whatsapp/databases/msgstore.db to a new database that you would have to create with all the relevant fields.
But still you would have to rewrite the messaging app to get it to display both content.
I would still be stumped on how you would even go about replying via whatsapp through the messaging app though.
And that would likely be the easiest way. As there is very little chance that you could modify anything directly with whatsapp because there are no sources to work with

Actually I'm overcomplicating it again.
It would probably just be a rewrite of the messaging app.
Changing it's data sources to take both it's own database and the whatsapp database. But still you would have the problem of replying
And the issue of matching the whatsapp contact IDs with your phone contacts

Has anyone found away to create a sms group. I have downloaded several apps that did the job, however when phone powered off the groups were deleted. Any help would be appreciated.

Lately I cannot send any emails from the gmail app. They just sit in the outbox until I delete them from there after a few hours.
Also every text I get comes in as two, no matter the contact or if it is SMS or mms.
I know its posted but couldn't find when searching does someone have a link to the latest Netflix download?
Thank you

for Netflix Google this : com.netflix.mediaclient-3.apk
Works great.
I did get Netflix resolved. I had a brain fart and then realized I just needed to restore it from titanium backup.
Anyone have any ideas about the Gmail or text issue?

This problem is limited to only a handful of my contacts in the native or built-in People App. In those few cases some fields show multiple replications of addresses ( even obsolete ones), nicknames etc. When you edit the record, you can see multiple entries for that person one after the other. You can delete the spurious fields but later when you return to that contact they have all returned. It seems Android Nexus 7 OS has merged multiple instances of a contact but kept the identical values in each field ( even obsolete deleted ones) rather than eliminating redundant ones and those explicitly deleted. Any idea how to permanently resolve this?
I think you can delete them from your google account on the web. I had about 150 contacts on my phone and where all duplicated 5 times.

Here ye go mate. Just go to this link and delete what ever contacts you want. Once done re sync your contacts. You may have to clear data from the people app and the re sync

Hi
Quick question about the app Viber on android:
Normally on android, it shows in your contacts, when you can reach them with different apps, for example when a contact has What's App installed, it shows this in his contacts right below his phone number.
However, this is not the case for Viber, for me at least. Even though Viber itself recognizes other Viber users just fine (so i can see the other viber users from my contacts in the actual Viber app), the viber link does not show up for these contacts on the actual phone contacts app, whereas linked Skype or Whats App accounts for example DO show up.
Hope this is somewhat understandable and would really appreciate an answer on this, whether this is normal and if not, how it can be solved.
It does not show on mine either, if I am not mistaken, it was the same way on my s2

Hi guys!
This is a member of the Viber Team.
Viber currently does not integrate with Android's native contact list unfortunately. In future versions we hope to bring back this feature, and once we have news we'll let you know.
We apologize for the temporary inconvenience.
Thanks,
Viber

So I rooted earlier today :good: (Thanks to the amazing people of the ROOT GODS) :good: and now I keep getting a sync issue of "To many Calender deletes" and "To many Contacts deletes". Has anyone else experienced this? It is asking me to: Delete the items, undo the items, do nothing for now. I have a lot in my Google calender for specific reasons and cannot delete this info. any ideas??????
Anyone???

This may have worked just in case anyone else has the same issue. I went into accounts and uninstalled my Google account. Then added it back and haven't had the same issue as of yet. Looked around on other forums and I believe it has something to do with deleting contacts then Google and the phone not having the same contacts....kinda how I took it anyways.
