Not sure which is best for updates. I unbranded mine from 3, but with all the root issues I'm staying stock btu until the new root methods are well established and tested. The updates will come to sim free phones soon enough.
AFAIK Netherlands or any others are fine to flash, I prefer to keep to btu myself.

Yep used to be. I heard that the carriers may have a deal with Samsung these days to get theirs first, maybe to encourage contract buying?
I guess the success of the Galaxy S range of phones has made carriers see that IPhones aren't the smartphone everyone wants now. Money is most likely the reason

So is it worth going back to EE's software??

best ota is here http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=GT-I9505

And is exactly same as other open europe rom version. I have installed open belgium and its unbranded. For s 4 9505/9500 almost all roms are unbranded even most carrier specific roms.

Unless you want a shiny paper phone go right ahead. I have no idea why would you want to do such thing. You will basically brick your phone if you do that.

N9005 internacional version with lack of languages

Just recently bought sgn3 n9005 as i was told it was The international version. For my surprise, there was no portuguese option when activating The device. Any solution to put portuguese on it?

There is no longer a single "international" N9005 - first thing you should check the output (in phone dialer) from *#1234# (you don't need to press <call> after the last#).
On the EU version of N9005 there are 2 portuguese options, so probably your phone is not an EU N9005.
How about the EVR code (or similar), everything everywhere?

Well if you actually ask a question rather than just saying "what will happen if i flash android 4.4.2 from Spain for Vodafone ??"
To put it straight, you'll have Vodafone's 4.4.2 firmware on your device. It's no different to any other Kitkat except carrier bloatware.
I meant as will it cause a problem as im not on Vodafone carrier!
Sent from my SM-N9005 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Potentially yes. Depends what they have baked into it,could just be Vodafone network, messed up CSC and security etc etc. But then again, probably not.
Word of advice though, seems like Carrier firmwares aren't flashing for people and they seem to work OTA only. The normal XEO Polish ROM works fine for everyone bar HK users.
Thank you, I got my answer.

Carrier firmware is also a lot trickier and might only contain the APNs for themselves and not all the carriers.
Also XEO is known to also have problems on Nordic EU N9005.
Yes I guess you are right @xclub_101 this polish version of kitkat cause me some strange problems and makes my phone restart suddenly when its on standby!!!!!
when I got my phone it was set on French , do you think I should download a firmware for France??
I mean as maybe firmwares for this country be compatible with my phone.

You could try a French frimware and see.

Restore stock rom for i9505

A bit of a noob question. I want to restore the stock rom to my i9505. Does it matter which contrary stock rom I use? The phone was bought in the USA but I'm using it in Israel.
Yes it does pal! Find the correct Rom at sammobile.com
Not entirely sure what country code to use for the US and carrier it should be found on the side of the box of your phone and
flash with odin

I doesn't matter which I9505 rom you flash. You probably need a 4.4.2 rom though. You can pick any 4.4.2 you want.
