I cannot transfer files over USB cable to my Computer.
The TPT is recognized, but it is not showing up on my computer. There is only a window that an Media Transfer device has been recognized, but I cannot do anything.
I have a Galaxy Nexus and a Galaxy Tab both only MTP devices, they work properly.

Hi
I have notice that when I connect my Galaxy to the computer using USB connection and mount the External SD disappear.
It work fine in the past
When I disconnect my Galaxy and try to use My files to look for files in the external SD. There are no files there
When I power off the Galaxy and turn it on I can see the files again.
Any idea why it happened?
The only change is that I connect my Galaxy Tablet to this computer
Thanks
When I connect my G2 via USB cable on my windows computer, most of the folder show up as files.
Already tried: clear media library on G2, rescan SD.
I can create new folders in windows on the internals storage and they show up as folder.
Weird problem.
Like the title says, when I connect the phone to my PC and enable USB Mass Storage mode, my SD Card and internal memory show up but as a CD Drive. Both cannot be accessed.
Have this issue on stock ROM and flashing CyanogenMod 12.1 didn't solve it either.
Even tried another PC.
MTP mode works fine.
Anyone has any idea about this?
Same with motion rom doesnt work with mtp mode when conected to computer..
Hey everyone,
I was wondering if anyone can help me. I'm trying to put files like emulator files on my usb drive that has been converted internal storage (usb). My computer won't read the usb after it is formatted to be an internal storage.
I have the files on a sdcard but wondering how I can transfer all that to be on the usb drive.
Please let me know thanks!
As far as I know once you format any external storage as internal then that drive is going to be encrypted. This is the reason why your PC won't read it when you insert it back to its own USB ports. You can read it via NSTV if you connect it to your computer via USB cable as long as you enable USB debugging. To recover the USB for general use you have to erase it from NSTV/storage and then eject and then it might work again on your PC. I said it might because sometimes you would have to do a low lever format to completely remove the encryption. Good luck.
So here i have enabled adoptable storage using Root essentials. It is working fine but suddenly i found that my galaxy j5 is not able to explore any usb that i connect through otg cable. It detects the usb ( root essential shows a pop up when otg connects ) but how am i suppossed to explore it when it is not shown in file manager. ?
