[Q] Storage / Memory Card Read Fail on Computer X2 [SOLVED]

Just upgraded my X2 to R3AA05, but when I connect X2 with Windows 7 using USB & Windows Mobile Device Center the storage card is not showing any files inside, bit it is detected.
The disk usage and free space of storage is showing but not showing any files inside and i cannot transfer files from storage to computer and so reverse, both import and export. I can install any application inside storage card and working very well, but still if i connect the storage with computer it shows nothing files inside.
I able to see my storage files only in File Explorer, but not in computer
I was trying to transfer files into it, the Windows 7 error message said: "The devices has either stopped responding or has been disconnected | Stop copying | Skip this file"
Appreciate any solutions. I only able to transfer files from phone memory..

Windows Mobile Phone appear as external HDD

I'm trying to get some accidentally deleted files off of my old (SCH-i760) phone, but it appears as a phone, and not HDD. Though I can browse the files, I cannot use any software to scan it. Is there anything I can do to make it appear as just a plain HDD?
EDIT: Nevermind. I don't know how but I got all the files.
Help too.
I have the same problem i want to know how to mount my internal phone memory as a drive on my pc i cannot find the solution to this anywhere.
Help please
You can't do it.
If it is on a storage card you can connect the card directly in a USB card reader, and mount it as a drive on your PC, but the program and storage memory of the device is another story.
Windows Explorer through Activesync, or Visual Studio's remote file Viewer (ccfilevw.exe), are the only ways to access the storage memory. Both go through Activesync to get to the device, but you do not have the ability to undelete files.

Media on internal storage not being picked up

Any media files I put on the internal storage are not being picked up by either the video player or music player. I can still access/play these files through the file manager. Any ideas on what could be wrong?
Thanks
Try Rescan Media by Aditya Talpade on the Market, solved the same problem for me.
There are two versions of the app one for rooted phones and one not.
Thanks, but that did not work.
The media scanner works and does pickup media on a microsd, but not on the internal storage.
I put a video file in the /sdcard folder of the internal storage and not the subfolders. Now the video application picks it up. Any idea what may be wrong with the subfolders? I did do a format of the internal storage.
Do you have a rogue .nomedia file lying in any of your subfolders?

Not in the usbStorage folder. There are .nomedia files in other subfolders.
You cant put anything in the /sdcard folder that's the folder that becomes the external micro sd card when you disconnect/unmount the drives.
Just make a new folder in the root of the internal storage and call it whatever you like. Then put your videos in there.
So just make folders in the /sdcard/usbstorage for media?
Just to confirm, what is the proper procedure for loading media onto the internal storage? Connect with usb utilities, copy media, disconnect?
Connect your phone in mass storage mode to PC.
Open Phone via windows explorer .
Make new folder video
Copy a few videos in to this folder .
Via file explorer on phone locate and open a video in this folder .
Should now see them as normal .

[Q] Backing up LG G2 Internal Storage?

I want to back up all the files on my LG G2's internal storage.
I used to do this on my old phones by plugging in usb and the Sd card would be mounted as a Mass Storage device that I could copy and paste from.
The LG G2 only connects to the computer using MTP (Media Sync).
When I went to copy from the MTP storage, I get to stare at "Calculating the time required to copy the files."
Its been doing this for about an hour.
How can I get my Internal Storage to my computers Hard Drive?

The MTP protocol is a bit buggy and what you've described isn't uncommon. A lot of the folders on the internal storage are actually unnecessary so best suggestion is to only backup what you truly need (personal files, photos, music, 'Android folder', etc) which has a higher chance of working than copying absolutely everything.
Your best bet is to grab a OTG cable and a large USB drive and transfer the contents using a file explorer app like ES file explorer. That has always given me the best and quickest results.
