All the razrs are practically the same, just different hardware. So YouTube tutorials will be fine. However, I strongly urge you to read through the relevant threads first.
Trust me, I hate reading more than anyone else, but reading saves a lot if time and headache.

If I try and watch a channel it gives me an error. I don't see the point in disabling it for rooted phones. Screw you sky!!!!

It says this is not available in your country
Any idea how to enable it?
Thanks

I believe on cm9 it gives you the option to temporarily disable root.
Might come in handy?
also you need to make sure your boot.img is secure eg
ro.secure=1 in /default.prop

My bad I just got a bit excited and did not read the other threads. Sorry.
Mmm, Tegra 2 device running a 3.xx kernel. Again.
*waits* for Motorola.
I plan on undergoing this process. As the title says. I believe the XPRT deserves ICS. And I wish to prove it. Anyone interested in helping or following please let me know!
Whoa thanks man! I wish I could help, but I know nothing about these things. Good luck! I would love to see ICS on this thing!

Do keep in mind though that I'm only 17 and still in high school and very frequently busy. I don't have tons of time.

Also. I believe I shall first do CM7. This is my first rom port after all.

The first task I am currently facing is the kernel. I need to get it from the stock rom. It's the only kernel for this phone and it is needed to run anything.

If anyone wants to join in. I'm no pro and I'm currently suffering from serious allergies or something. Either way I feel like death. This link is a base of what I'm doing somewhat http://apcmag.com/port-roms-to-your-android-device.htm
And I was using a official CM7 7.2.0 rom for a droid x as the secondary. It doesn't seem like the hardest task in the world honestly. Rongsang I think you should take this up. You probably have the skills to do so.
Sent from my MB612 using xda app-developers app
Sure. i'll download the cm7 for droid x and look into it,
I've decided to port CM7.2 rom from Defy as it has similar hardware as XPRT and it was previously successfully ported to Droid Pro. But I'm still unable to boot. Need some help.
Why are you unable to boot?

You have the kernel right? You cannot mix two different kernels. It will only work one device. So since no one has developed a kernel for the xprt you have 2 choices. Build your own. Or extract it from the stock.
Sent from my MB612 using xda app-developers app
This...actually doesn't look hard to do at all.
Sent from my MB612 using xda premium
It looks easier than it is. I'm still not able to make it boot. Its a bit harder with locked bootloader and 2nd-init. Can't seem to find a guide to port locked bootloaders with 2nd-init. Need somebody with experience to start off this project.

If you can't be bothered doing a search don't bother rooting the phone.
Seriously, don't. You will just wreck it. It requires patience and a lot of reading.

they are going to offer the same rom, they want to make a pc installer too!
As long as it stays android I would say it's great, but it almost reads as it may be a new os. Really found it interesting more than anything
