My GS4 Seems to have lost APN settings or they are only partly there.
I'm on Orange EE in the UK. Anyone got any idea how to find them / get them back?
For some reason I wasn't allowed to add them if i changed a port.

These settings are for reference for those who may want to play with the HTC Magic from Proximus.
Name : Px Internet
APN : Internet.proximus.be
proxy: Not set
all settings : not set
until ...
MCC : 206
MNC : 01
You still need settings for MMS.
MMS Settings
Username = mms
Password = mms
IP = 10.55.14.75
Port =
9201 (for WAP1.0)
or 80 (for WAP2.0)
URL = mmsc.proximus.be/mms
I can't get MMS to work on the HTC Hero.. Has anyone succeeded in getting this to work?
These are the 2 Access Points I have defined:
Name: Proximus
APN: internet.proximus.be
All the other fields are left at <Not set>
Name: MMS Proximus
APN: event.proximus.be
Proxy: not set
Port: not set
Username: mms
Password: mms
Server: not set
MMSC: http://mmsc.proximus.be/mms
MMS Proxy: 10.55.14.75
MMS Port: 8080
MMS Protocol: WAP 2.0
MCC: 206
MNC: 01
APN Type: mms
I activated MMS through the Proximus site, and I got a test MMS message from Proximus. But I can't download the contents. Can't send any MMS messages either.
It's solved! The settings were correct but I had to powercycle the phone (turning it off, count to 10, turn back on)
I bought a htc dream and its on telus. Everything works except data. Maybe there's other reasons for data not to work other than apn info maybe not, I just know it doesn't work.
Then I remembered android on the vogue had apn and working data without setting it up. How does the Vogue know how to do this?!
APN = sp.telus.com
Proxy = 74.49.0.18
Port 80
Username = (not set)
Password = (not set)
Server = (not set)
MMSC = http://aliasredirect.net/proxy/mmsc
MMS proxy = 74.49.0.18

APN type = default,mms
This works fine on my Nexus One on the OrangeUK network.
You only need one APN to manage data and mms - also (I think) aGPS. This seemed obvious to me since a single APN entry contains fields for all the settings needed for both data and mms. Everywhere I looked on the Internet stated you need two entries so I mucked about a bit and came up with this.
Go into Settings-Wireless & Networks-Mobile networks-Access Point Names.
Click Menu-Reset to default. This will remove all entries so the list is empty.
Click Menu-New APN
You need to enter the following settings exactly as shown - they are case sensitive. If you are not on OrangeUK search for your network operator's settings and substitute them instead.

Name = (this is for your reference. Choose anything - mine is set to orangeinternet)
APN = orangeinternet

MMS proxy = 192.168.224.10
MMS port = 8080

APN type = <Not set>

Good luck and let me know if it works for you.
for 3G internet

MMS proxy = 74.115.197.70
MMS port = 8080
MMC = 302

Optional Settings:
You need to re-enter the SMSC Carrier number. For WIND Mobile Canada, SMSC is 16135009000
Android requires you to enter this info in Hex.
Hex = 07916131059000F0
In the dialpad enter *#*#4636#*#*
Select phone information
Scroll down to SMSC field, enter 07916131059000F0 and done. Then reboot
I've never had to input anything for WIND on my Nexus. APNs were present as soon as the SIM went in, and no text issues.
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App

Why is this necessary?
The SMSC field is blank on my phone and everything is working flawlessly.
Just curious.
it's optional, i forgot to put that in the tittle
some people are unable to send SMS without the code
