I am trying to partition my sd-card without my pc and I know I did that with a flashable zip a while ago. But I couldn't find it anywhere and I can assure you, I searched a while. I hope someone can help me.

why not use recovery to partition your sd-card?

Hi,
I have a MT3G cellphone and it is on Cyanogenmod 4.2.7 now.
The problem that I have is:
I try to update the recovery file which i believe is version RA-sapphire-v1.5.1.img (if i spell the file wrong, I apologize) using the way rename the file "recovery.img" and copy it to /data. But at the moment when I try to open the /data, the system says forced close.
This happens no matter what app I use to open that folder.
Is there something I can do to fix this issue?
I know there are other ways to flash the recovery, but I just want to fix this folder issue.
The other question that I have is I just order a new MicroSD on line, and expecting it to come maybe next week.
My question is how do I transfer everything on the SD now to a new one.
I have FAT32/EXT3 now on my sd. I know how to deal with the FAT32 but do not know how to clone those from the ext3.
Does nandorid backup do this? or I should find another way to deal with it?

Another noob question for you guys... Once I flash a rom, Gapps, etc.. Can I delete the RAR file I downloaded the romand moveds over to on my SD card? I have plenty of space but see no reason to leave it on there? or does it have to stay?

Yes you can delete the .zip from the ROM and the g/apps. Just make sure to keep a backup on there handy incase you need it.

Hello, hopin someone can help me out. I have searched around but yet to find a solution to my problem. I am currently on MIUI and wanted to revert back to a older version. Somehow before I got to do this my SD card got fried. Re-formatted and the card seems fine now but no matter what I do it wont mount in CWM.
Tried to Odin a new CWM but odin is not reconginizing the phone (going to try a new computer tonight)
Any suggestions on what I should do to fix this issue?
If not a suggestion to fix that issue then maybe you can help me with my newest one? I am trying to use an older MMS.apk with my 9.30 build of Miui to restore MMS capabilities. Ripped the old APK, put on SD card. Overwrite in system/app using root explorer.
Thought his would would but now I don't have any messaging app and cannot restore it.

Sorry to hear that. I don't have a solution, I am experiencing a similar problem. I have a separate thread in for this. When I check my storage usage one of them shows more files than is possible to store. So far no one has replied to my post. If I figure out how to fix this I will try to get back to you.

Are you booting from SD or internal? If booting from internal, it's possible the SD card has been corrupt. Try it in another device or computer. If it doesn't work there either, try backing it up and formatting the card. If that isn't the issue, try another card.
If booting from SD, leapinlar has a lot of valuable info on his tips and tricks thread.

Use KDZ to flash new ROM, if you dont have backup you cant do it...
