After fiddling with some undervolting settings, phone crashed, and rebooted. However, after rebooting, it crashed 2 more times without the under volt, and then rebooted once more with no data. All my apps are there, except they had no data in them, whatsapp had no messages etc.
Any ideas on how to recover?

It sounds like yes, the reboots basically wiped your data, much like how'd it be in a custom recovery. Moving forward, I'd recommend a combination of nandroid and Titanium backups. That's been my go-to combo for the past few months, and I've been able to get back from any snags I've had.
EDIT: Are the contents of your /sdcard folder wiped as well?
My sdcard hasn't been wiped, and I should mention that everytime it rebooted it had a green screen saying AT WATCHDOG BARK, or something similar, and pressing the power button would boot into the bootloader.
Unfortunately as I usually already undervolt, and have no issues with a global -100 mv I haven't done a Titanium backup in advance.

EDIT: I tried looking your phone's symptoms up, you may find better luck in these threads:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2338858
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2077344
That happened to me once on my GNEX when I had FSYNC turned off. I'm not sure if you do or don't have it on, but that's a mistake I won't make again.
raise your voltages asap, undervolting isnt a good thing a large percent of the time. the phone needs certain voltages to run things, lowering the voltages below will stop your phone from running those things. for example, the radio(for phone calls) needs a certain minimal voltage, without that voltage you wont be able to receive/make calls while the device itself runs fine.
I'm running Faux 16tbu atm, and the green screen didn't specifically say things about HW Resets, more of the AT WATCHDOG BARK.
Thanks for the replies, but it still doesn't explain the data loss.

Do you have setcpu or a OC kernal by any chance?
I am having this happen also... I have had to remove my battery three times today to reboot the phone.
I have set CPU installed, is that a bad idea?
I'm rooted with just the stock OS, no mods at all and my phone will randomly reboot every two or three days.

Mine has the new rom the leaked one and does this so often like after every 2-3 songs. Did it with the stock rom too.

No, I'm rooted with straight stock. No set CPU or anything of that nature. But like I said even then ill get complete freezes and then a reboot. Or occasionally ill attempt to open an app and the phone will reboot!!

did you wipe your SD cards when you flashed the new rom? I don't have this behavior but I did have FC's and such because of some files on the SD. I have NONE of this behavior. Something is wrong for you, nothing is wrong with JI2 and freezing/rebooting.

I used to have this problem all the time too whenever I tried to use the gps, but since I've applied the leaked update that problem has gone away. But it seems like you're experiencing the issue at more random times. Have you noticed any particular pattern? For example, whenever you try to play music in the background and read a website at the same time.

Yup mine is bone stock not Rooted and it will lock up just siting there GPS, wireless and Bluetooth off in a very good signal area.
Same here on both roms. I thought the lag fix was causing the freeze. But now im stock jit2 and root.
Had the same with gps and maps with old firmware.

NO set cpu or anything
I haven't had this issue happen since I applied the flashable gps fix. Maybe it was an issue with an app that wanted to use GPS running in the background?
This has happened to me several times while booting gps and only recently started happening while playing pandora, but not as frequent as while using the gps...not rooted

Mine has only frozen up once and it was at the end of a call screen turned off. I hit power and went to go unlock and it turned off again.. Would not turn back on but I know the phone was still on since I had apmobile enabled and it was still transmitting wifi connection. Oh I was using eugene's FrankenTwiz (underclocked to 400mhz)when it happened but same thing happened to my girlfriend and she had hybrid r3. Other than phone runs fine.
Ive had some odd reboots where I dont get a shutdown or boot animation or sounds, just freezes, goes black, keys light up, searching for signal boot process. Yesterday in maps trying to troubleshoot my gps. Stock rom, rooted, Ryan's lagfix.
Vibrant vibrating nicely now,Kthx!
Have the phone replaced. I had a phone that would randomly freeze and/or reboot. Nothing I did would fix it.
I talked to a T-mobile worker who had the same issue with one of the early demo-phones Samsung loaned to him. They just replaced his without every saying what the problem was.
I've been having this happen a lot lately myself, it happened to me before on stock ROM due to SetCPU, but now on the leaked ROM. I did not clean the SD card (internal or external), so will give that a shot when I have some time to copy files on/off the SD cards (one reason to dislike the internal SD is that I have to mount it to copy the files, ergh).
This just started happening the other day. Randomly during the day it will not allow me to adjust the volume ( ie from vibrate to loud). The status bar moves when i move them but it doesn't actually do anything. Also when this starts happening, voice input no longer works. I cant do voice text voice searches etc etc.
I have to shut it down and restart it, then everything will work again. But it only lasts for a few hours and then i have to do it again.
I am stock and not rooted.
Thoughts?
It doesn't happen to me on my modded and tweaked Slim Bean Beta2. I would recommend doing a factory reset and see if that fixes your problem.

Could i use this backup utility found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=36499906
factory reset my phone and then install that backup or would that defeat the purpose of resetting it.
I am not a pro at this obviously, i just do not want to lose all my apps and settings i have. Or would they just reinstall once i linked the phone back to my google account?

I did have one, but i uninstalled it and still having the same issues.
I'm having the same issue, stock ROM rooted with franco kernel.
Not only that, but the volume gets very low almost inaudible and I end up having to reboot the phone.
I don't have any audio apps installed, noticed this while watching YouTube.
Thus far have not found a solution

now it is not happening anymore and hasn't happened since Saturday.
Weird.
Will repost later if it starts acting up again.
My nexus 10 is dying with displayed charge at or around 70%. I had lost the tablet and it was dead for months. Idk if that is relevant or not. It did take a full charge a few times after finding the tablet before the above stated issue occurred. The charger I'm using should be in good shape as it charges my Galaxy S4 w/o issue. Running CM 10.1.3 (Stable).
Thoughts? Thanks in advance.
Update: now the device is dying while showing charge level in the high 90% mark. Device now dies mid-boot even plugged in. Before it would stay on so long as I kept it plugged in. It will stay on if I go into cwm. That's the curious part.

After doing some research I'm going to guess calibration to be the issue. What to do if calibration is so out of wack it thinks its charged when it's dead?
Update: I ran calibration after I managed to get it to 100%. A few minutes later it died. Curiously I put my tablet in recovery mode and it has stayed on for at least an hour now. However when I try to boot into CM it dies. Every retry it dies a little sooner in boot.
Maybe you could go back to stock via fastboot. If that doesnt work I think tour battery is dead.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA Premium HD app
Actually I've been letting it sit idle in recovery mode. Its had at least 4 hours to drain now. Haven't been able to kill it yet so I am extra confused. I read the charge with an app and it was at 4400. The tablet is perfectly happy in recovery. I wiped my system partition and reflashed CM. This seemed to have an affect to a degree. Once the dalvik cache was rebuilt the tablet died again and went back to the odd behavior I mentioned. I would prefer to not return to stock unless it is absolutely necessary. I will if I have to but I would like to see if anyone else has seen this issue or has an idea on how to TS it as is.
For the Android junkie this would be a fun issue to trace down. I simply don't have the education. I just created my developer console account and am going through the documentation to create my first app. Clearly outside of Google Fu I'm relatively useless.

Try wiping the battery stats from recovery, if yours lets you.
Have you tried wiping/factory reset and starting with a clean install? As part of all the rebooting, you may have corrupt file(s).

I think in going to have to. I've proved the battery is charged and CWM knows it. I'd like to do a titanium backup to preserve my game data but I don't see how if the darn thing dies mid-boot. May have to bite the bullet on this one

It didn't so I just wiped the whole /system partition (I believe that's where the battery bin exists) and flashed CM back. No good.

Flashed full factory image
I used the image found here to completely wipe and reset all partitions and make the thing like it just came out of the box with no trace of mods left (that I'm aware of). It happily booted in and I got about halfway through initial setup and it died and returned to the same behavior.
What do I do now?
Recently after updating to 4.4.2, I've been experiencing a weirdass issue.
The phone will drain normally/fast from 100% to 40%, with system_server draining the most, and then once it's at 40%, the radio will malfunction, sometimes not getting a signal and sometimes showing full bars but it actually doesn't have one.
At 30%, I cannot get any reception whatsoever, even with turning airplane mode on and off. And then a while after hitting 30%, the phone will just die instantly, no "Powering off" popup, just sudden black screen until I plug it in again, in which case it it will be partially reset in the fact that I will show the "Android is upgrading" popup and the clock and date will show 8:00 and 1/1/1970 respectively. If I manually shut the phone off, it can't be booted up again until it is plugged in.
Any ideas?

An about a month ago switched to 7.1.2 from 6.0.1.
Stock rooted version. The phone is one and a half years old.
Since then I'm having random freezes that only pressing the power button and reboot will help.
I can't figure out what causes these freezes.
Anybody else having this ?

Try a factory reset see if that helps really hard to say. Are you using substratum try removing overlays. If using custom kernel resore to stock. If it was me I would completely wipe my phone including internal. Then flash a fresh factory image to rule out any software related issues. Just make sure you back up all your pics etc.
I'm using stock kernel. The freezes are random. Can't figure out what triggers them.
The freeze can be while the phone connected to charger, lying on a table or when I on Facebook or something else...

There apps that you can get that will show you logs of what's going on in the background. Catlog or syslog are ones that I know of. They can be hard to understand but might give you some clues to what's going on. After the phone does it thing quickly check the log and see if any errors from apps and such that stand out.
