Under Settings-> my devices-> call-> call accessories
There is anoption for Bluetooth headset settings -> outgoing call conditions
and it says below, "make calls even when device locked"
But i have tried, and even though my BT headset launches S-voice when the phone is not PIN Locked, but not when there is a PIN lock.
I can't decide if this is a bug, or if Samsung can't decide on the definition of "locked".

Hello,
i have a qtek 2020 1.75.00 WWE
My question is as follows:
Is it possible to have the headset mode set to "enabled" as soon as Bluetooth is switched on? At this moment, i have to go to the today screen to manually touch the headset icon to enable it. So even when bluetooth is active, i still can't use my headset immediately. When the phone rings i still have to go through the above mentiond manouvre, so by the time i have done that, the phone already stopped ringing.
So what i actually want is that the headset mode is either always enabled or that it gets enabled as soon as bt is active.
I hope you can help me.
Regards,
Ilana
Hi Ilana,
On my i-mate (XDA II) I run Pocket Bluetooth Tools (or BTHTools) which you'll find on XDA Developers if you search for it, and aside from adding additional profiles (such as the missing SPP - Serial Port Profile, which is needed to connect to Bluetooth GPS units), it also replaces the default Headset Profile app with an automatic one.
When the phone is activated by an incoming or outgoing call, the Bluetooth radio turns on automatically & I just tap the BT headset's answer button to transfer the call to the headset. When the call finishes the BT radio automatically turns off again after 60 seconds (thus saving battery power).
Give it a try - you can uninstall it to return to the default Microsoft BT stack if it doesn't ring your bell.
Lucas.
Thank you for your help. I will definitely give it a try!
I know that when u get an incoming call you can answer either from the phone or from the bluetooth headset. But sometimes when I use my phone to dial a number I realize that its connected to the headset after that person answered. Is there a software enabling to switch from headset to phone and vice-versa during a call??!

Option under the phone menu to Turn Hands Free on/off.
love this phone but don't know if i have a problem or i'm just using it wrong and i'm an idiot,
i use an o2 blue hands free bluetooth and when i get an incoming call it rings nicely in my ear and i press button on the o2 blue and answer the call and it all works beautifully.
however if i'm making the call, i dial the number on the phone press green phone button and the bluetooth doesn't kick in the call stays on the phone.
(you don't press anything on the bluetooth as it don't work that way)
is this a bug or is there a specific way to make a call on the handset so the bluetooth kicks in??
(apologises in advance if i'm missing the blindingly obvious)
Hi, Scottydog -- I've been using the P6500 with a Bluetooth headset (Plantronics Voyager 815) without any problems. Though to the extent that things don't work properly, I have the opposite problem: when I _make_ calls with the headset connected, all is fine; but when I _receive_ them, calls initially go to the handset and I then have to choose "Turn Hands-free On" from the right soft-key menu to get the call on my headset.
Have you tried doing this after you dial calls?
Wish I had something better to suggest!

First question: Blutooth is paired, but yet when I make a call I have to press on HeadSet button for the phone to use headset for calls (works for media by default). how to make it automatically?
Second: I tried to pair with another headset that I no longer have but it keeps showing up in my list of headsets how to remove?
I do not want to auto answer with a headset - blue tooth or wired. I just want the phone to autoanswer with nothing connected. I am testing some MT call scenarios and do not have a headset connnected. . The only settings option is under call accessories and says "connect a headset to enable autoanswer". I have done this on other phones. Did the S5 really remove this capability for the user? Do I need to use ADB or maybe some AT command over the modem port?
