I have a I9505 variant. I am rooted with motochopper. I partitioned my sd card into 2 so that I can use Link2sd. My problem is Titanium Backup can't make a backup of my apps and I don't know why. I need to make a back up because I have a new sd card. Help pls!

Is your device rooted?
with titanium backup you can move a lot of apps to SD card.
Also, ROM toolbox pro can move apps to SD

I have been using an SD card in my NC. I have now rooted my NC and want to copy over apps and files. What directories and files do I need to copy?
Do I need to reinstall the apps like Kindle and Kobo? How. Google Play sees the rooted NC as the same device as the SD card and won't let me install. I didn't want to delete them from the SD card so I could again use the SD card should I ever be unable to get the NC to boot its internal OS.

When you say you rooted your NC, do you mean you added root access to stock or do you mean you replaced stock with CM that is rooted?
To save your installed apps and settings from the SD, just use Titanium Backup and then you can restore to whatever you have on internal.

Yes. Thanks.
Okay I installed Titanium Backup on the SD card and backuped to the card. Now how do I get it on the internal OS of my NC. Sorry for being so dense. Do I have to uninstall on the CM10 SD card and reinstall on NC OS or what.

Copy the Titanium Backup folder created after you backed up the SD to the "emmc" folder on internal memory. Then install Titanium backup on the NC OS and the after booting to NC OS copy the backup folder from emmc to your standard SD. Then restore your apps with TB.

Sorry, I though I'd deleted that but thank you for the answer. Digging more at Google Play I was able to install the apps to the internal NC OS. Was simpler to just redo. All is good and I am happy with my $44 Android tablet. Thanks all who helped me over the last few weeks.
How do I replace the SD card on my Galaxy Y GT-S5360? I've looked on the forum, but there is no mention of transferring apps.

You can use titanium backup (playstore) to backup all your apps
Once done transfer the titanium backup folder to your pc
Put your new sd card in & transfer the titanium backup folder to it
You can then restore apps
Titanium backup requires root
Of course changing your sd card will only effect apps with the apk or the apps data on the sd card - any other apps that have the apk or data on internal will be unaffected
Remember to partition your new sd card first if you are using link2sd or similar method of virtual storage
I have just updated my Galaxy Note 3 (SM-N9005) to Android 5.0 using Odin 3.10.6 in these two days.
After upgrading to Android 5.0, I found that Titanium Backup cannot backup to External SD, and it said the External SD is not writable.
I have also tried some other backup apps, they also cannot access to External SD.
As I know that in Android 5.0, apps can already access to External SD...and I have tried SDFix, which cannot fix the problem.
Any idea what happen? What can I do to allow Titanium Backup to get access to the External SD?

TB pro backs up my 5-0 to ext SD.
Try formatting your ext sd card .

I'm having the same problem and I don't think it's with the ext SD card, I'm pretty sure it's with TB.
I used the TWRP app to fix it.
I think custom ROM is the only solution.
Above answer is 100% wrong .
i used dr ketans sd fix it worked for me ,,might have to reboot after and rescan folder or make a titanium backup folder in ex sd
Need to be rooted. Modify platform.xml Here the instructions http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=20869996&postcount=7
Since the nexus 4 has an internal sd card, does my nandroid backups have my sd card locations backed up too?
A nandriod will not backup the contents of the internal sd card. You'll have to manually back that up off your device.
