...have a Nexus 7 that had no screen raise or separation out of the box and it's still that way after days/weeks?
I ask because we all know about the problem coming out of the box but now I'm also hearing about devices that were fine out of the box but are now raising and/or separating.
I also ask because I am on device number 7 and this one finally had no screen raise or separation out of the box and has stayed that way for two days so far. I'm just afraid it will come up eventually.
Thoughts?

I bought mine on July 26th, no problems at all.
I've had mine 2 days and then screen is completely in tact from what I can tell. Hopefully it stays that way

Had mine for almost a month now and haven't had any issues.
I bought 2, one on July 13 and the other on July 23. No issues.
Great to hear guys! I'm hoping this is the winner.
There are two differences with this one compared to the others that had to be returned. One is the serial number starts with C70K and it also only had one layer of black tape as opposed to two on my others.
May not mean anything but my screen is intact and no flicker.

Cheap or defective Lithium Ion battery over heats and expands, Causes screen to lift up
or it causes too much overheating where the display adhesive weakens.
I am lucky no color problems no screen lifting or separating
two with no lifting so far. One did have a dead pixel though.

Bought mine at GameStop. The first one I received had minimal screen raise and a really annoying yellowing on the right side of the screen. So I took it back and my replacement is absolutely perfect. I made sure to check for every issue out of the box. I've had it for a week now and no screen separation issue has occurred, so I'm hoping I'm ok.

Got mine through Google Play, one of the first 8GB ones shipped. No screen lift or flicker. Can't comment on the color temp since I don't have another one to compare it against.

My Nexus 4 recently had a run in with some concrete and I've shattered both the front glass and the back glass on the phone. I've lost touch response below the crack running horizontally across the screen.
I'm assuming I not only need both faces of glass, as well as a new LCD to recover touch response in that area. Does anybody happen to know a good place to get parts for it? (read also: as cheap as possible without getting a garbage product)

I recently came across a Kijiji add for a nexus 4 with a broken digitizer and glass although both the post and the picture say/show the LCD is working. Is it possible and or how hard would it be to fix? He has a link in the ad for eBay parts for $50 for glass and digitizer to fix it. Should I buy it? He wants $60 for the broken phone.

Digitizer is the part that senses the touch. Most of the times when the glass breaks the LCD is safe. digitizer and the glass are fused together so it comes as one part. Replacing it would be fine.

My i9505's glass has cracked, not the digitiser just the glass everything else works fine. Does anyone know where I can get a genuine replacement online? I fear I will buy a fake one.

Hey all, I convinced a friend to get the nexus 4 and she had it for about a month before it fell/got ran over from a golf cart and now the screen is smashed and of course no touch input activity. The phone will still power on, receive calls/text and otherwise seems undamaged. My question is, do I suggest to her to sell it as is to some willing person as a fixer upper or do I order a new screen and fix it for her? Costs are the topic she is wondering. Like I say, phone works, no cosmetic damage besides the screen, and the back glass is fully intact.
Any help is always appreciated!

Do you have any experience with repairing a screen? If not it might just be better to buy another Nexus off of Craigslist and possibly sell this one for around $50-$80. The least you'll probably find another Nexus 4 on Craigslist for is $150. I paid $200 for mine (16gb in mint condition) off of Craigslist 2 months ago

Buy a screen assembly (includes both LCD and digitizer) for the Nexus 4 on ebay and use a T5 torque screwdriver to open the phone. It's not very difficult of a process.
Lcd assembly are $140 shipped OEM on eBay. U also need the tools

Nexus 4 are pretty easy to take apart. Just watch out for the ribbon cables
