Ok ever since a couple days ago i cant get mms to send if my wifi is turned on. It sends when the data is connected but not wifi? This has never happened before in the two years or so ive been using gosms. Im actually having issues with the stock and other messaging apps. Anybody have any ideas? Im running force 2.3 w newest kt kernel and everything was perfect two days ago. No settings changed either
I've been having similar issues. But for some reason, I can't receive mms over airwave and I can't send them at all but can receive them when I'm out in town.
Worse part about it is that Sprint can't fix it either. Blah.
Has anyone found a solution to this problem? I cannot receive mms while on wifi. Any ideas?

I've been having this issue for years. I've given up on T-Mobile in that aspect, it'll never work for them.
Just have them send it to your email address instead.
I can receive mms but can't SEND mms anymore after i rooted my phone. I haven't flashed any rooms yet. Any solutions??
EDIT: somehow im only UNABLE to send mms to iphone users, 98% of the time..(?) weird.
RE-EDIT: found out the problem lies within the handcent sms app...uninstalled it, now using go sms...no problems ever since...too bad it took me too long to figure this out...i even unrooted -__-
Hey guys I have recently run unto a problem with receiving and sending MMS messages on my phone. I use handcent and also have a rooted phone running VirusRom B4. The issue started a few days ago, and I can't seem to find a fix for it. I also tried downloading the MMS messages using the stock messaging app and the only thing the MMS say is that it's downloading in both but it never downloads.
Note: I had already flashed the ROM I am running and everything was still working fine, so I don;t believe that is the problem.
TIA
Do you have 3g data on?
You cannot use wifi to download picture mail, although if you have wifi on and your data 3g on it will still download.
Is anyone else experiencing this? I'm on tmobile..stock jellybean and stock texting app.
sometimes the MMS will go right away..sometimes they will sit for days..and then i send (or recieve) one from someone and suddenly the floodgates open all my 'stuck' MMS messages go.
i dont know this is a defect..or maybe something quirky about tmobile's network..but it seems to happen about once a week the messages get backed up like this.
never had a problem with SMS..i dont think.
Not sure why but i've had that too. The other night sending to my friend on T-Mobile it wouldn't go for hours then i resent it some 9hrs later and it worked fine. I don't think it's a N4 problem per say as i've had that with my SGS2 also. Maybe it's a ROM thing or just carrier issue but wish it wouldn't be so!
I got this experience with MMS:
- when on WiFi than impossible to send;
- only when on Data transfer MMS is send.
Try to manually set the data and not wifi and try.
Good luck.
MMS only send on mobile data connection, thus has been standard behaviour on every Android phone I've owned
makes sense. i'm on/near wifi for most of the day every day so i guess its not going to send until i'm in my car driving somewhere and regular data kicks on
Shouldn't matter as the phone wont use WIFI to send MMS if the APN has "mms" designation it it. You can watch the signal bars and see he up/down arrow in the cellular signal bars vs wifi when trying to send. At least, that's what it does on my phone yet it still just doesn't send once in a while.

did an experiment today; sent 3 MMS (while i'm hooked to WIFI) and 2 of them went..made a phone call before the 3rd one sent..and it got stuck in 'sending' mode.
2 hours later still stuck in 'sending'. i sent a text to that number ...didn't help.
I then sent another MMS..and when i did, it triggered both the new one and the 'stuck' one to go through.
so there you have it..not conclusive but it seems like maybe when its switching between voice and data it can get stuck..and the stock MMS messenging app doesn't seem to be smart enough to resend automatically. it seems like you have to 'jiggle the handle' to get it to go by sending another MMS.
it also seems sending ANY mms (not even to the stuck #) will release all the hung MMS for everyone.
I just recently ported over my Samsung Focus to T-Mobile. For about a week, everything was working fine. Now, I am completely unable to receive MMS, however sending is no problem. My APN is set to epc.tmobile.com. Any ideas?

Have you tried powering down your phone? I had an issue where I would receive some texts, then stop receiving texts. I discovered that when I rebooted my phone, texts would come through again but eventually stop. After stubmbling onto a thread on this forum, I realized my phone was only allowing me to receive 10 text messages before requiring a reboot. The thread with solution (from tyryanjr on 3/24/11) can be found:
