Just installed Google Edition 4.2.2 - v1.2 and now I can't access my SD card through the device nor can I access the device through MTP. Might anyone point me in the right direction to getting this fixed. Thank you.

Try going back to stock with ODIN. If you don' t know what I am talking about , you can find more information in the Development section. Good luck,
Fixed
Nevermind, this fixed it. Flashed it and it worked. So happy!

Hey all,
So I've been trying to get Boot Manager working on the Kindle Fire. I've entered in all of the settings it has asked for, but the app stops when it tries to download some file.
I'm at work now, but I'll post the settings later tonight. I'm reasonably sure they are correct.
Has anyone had any luck, or is this just not possible? I'd love to dual-boot between ICS/Stock. Speed should even be better than what I'm used to with my OG Droid, since the 'SD card' on the KF is just the internal memory...
Alright, here are the settings. These are for on the CM9 ROM.
Device Name: blaze
SdcardBlock: /dev/block/mmcblk0p12
System Size: 528mb
Data Size: 1170mb
Cache Size: 100mb
Didn't know the cache size, but I figured it didn't matter much.
Finally, the program accepts all this and then complains about being unable to download files. Any idea why?
Edit2:
I went to init2winit's IRC channel, and I'm trying to help them get the settings to port it correctly. Will update here if anything comes of it...

I've been trying to get it to work 2. I got past the downloading part but using a older apk that was on there support forum but it still doesn't work right. Tryed CM7 and ICS and even tryed it on a stock+ rom none worked. Iv'e been useing the setting below. I can get roms to install in cm7 but won't even try to boot them so I switched to the clockwork recovery just in case that was the prob no go there and tryed to flash one of the update.zip s but it wont flash it errors out because it can't copy the boot.img file.
Device Name: omap4sdp
SdcardBlock: /dev/block/mmcblk0p12
System Size: 528mb
Data Size: 1170mb
Cache Size: 256mb
I also would love to get this to work, because I can't decide on a rom to use would love to keep a copy of one of the Stock+ roms for a the Amazon junk.
Just to clarify, you WERE able to install ROMs at some point? Link to APK perhaps?
Also, what error message do you get specifically when you try to flash the update.zip?

Yes was able to install ROMs in SD slots.
The APK is in the thread http://forum.init2winitapps.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=278 on there forum about not being able to dl files.
After you get it to download files it won't build the boot.img for the phone rom but you can copy the boot.img from your phone roms zip to the bootmanger/phonerom folder then run the phone rom setup and it works that way.
Then you can install a rom in a sd slot on ICS and stock it had probs doing that but on CM7 it says its succesful. But when you try to boot the rom it does nothing at all. So I tried flashing the update.zip from the SD rom slot and it errors out. I'll attach the log.txt form boot manager for you and a copy of the failed flash recovery.log and the .apk, the apk will only work if you have a paid for bootmanger since it connects to google for a check.
Thanks! I got up to the point you reached, but I haven't been able to boot the installed ROM.
I even tried manually flashing the boot.img via fastboot, but no go. Just a bootlock (and not a bootloop of the SD ROM).
Hrm... That is a bit disappointing but I don't know enough to be able to tell whether that means it isn't working at all, or whether there is some path that isn't correct somewhere...
can't seem to find any postings regarding the exact process on how to get my 8g internal SD back on my system that is why i ended up posting this. whenever i check it on the ideos, it is now disabled and it says unavailable. i also can't connect to my PC now via usb maybe because i don't have the internal SD. it happened when i try to partition my SD with Easyus Program in the hope that i may be able to install other programs into a more bigger space but then everything failed. I was already able to split it into 2 but i have slept over it and the next morning when i continued, i forgot where i have left last. i have tried to redo the whole thing all over again and started deleting the newly created partition and that was it. out of frustration and another hope that it might factory reset my unit in its original state and bring back my "unavailable SD". since then i can't get it back.
i have tried to browse all over here and also in other sites but there were no exact way how i will be able to get it available for use again. there are some that says i have to install the early android eclair version but there is just no place i can download that piece of os, not even on the huawei site. there are suggestions to use busybox and adb which i must admit that i have completely no knowledge of but willing to try if there will be guide to follow. the only problem on this way is my ideos7 can't communicate with my PC thru USB because of that missing internal SD card.
i hope somebody with a kind heart and knowledge can help me with this thing. i will surely appreciate it so much. this ideos is so dear to me and i just can't help to think the i ended up deleting its internal SD out of my stupidity.
thanks! you all have a nice day and continue enjoying your weekend.
details of my ideos7
it's a European Version, I guess this is the s7-104 with front camera only. It's running with the installed
Android Version: 2.2.2
Baseband: 504030
Kernel: 2.6.32.9-Ideos
Build Number: S7V100R001C98B021
I lost the rooting on the process and since then i can no longer have the way to root it back again because of the usb connection issue.
thanks again and hoping to get a big help from somebody out there.

still hoping for anybody.

Your problem, I think, has easy answer. You must to make a downgrade to android 2.1. In the huawei page you find the rom. in my case the problem is worse, my internal sd does not appear even as unavailable and i dont know to do.
regards
dead link
that's what i initially thought but all the links leading to this downgrade rom which is the 2.1 eclair, is already dead. i was lucky to find another but i see the fbi logo since it was the megaupload link. i have been looking for it even in the huawei site. everything is out already. i hope somebody out there has the Android 2.1 eclair that i can try. this i read from somewhere may be able to restore back my unavailable internal sd card.
thanks for reading and still hoping to get a copy or link for the android 2.1 eclair.
disregard all
i have found it already and it is back again. thanks a lot!
Same problem
I have the same problem as you. Can you send a link to the 2.1 eclair? I have searched for days...
1, the phone has root, and install better terminal emulator such as HyperTerminal simulation
2, in HyperTerminal, enter( su )
3, and so become the # sign, type ( dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/mmcblk0 ). Other end of the run, maybe wait 5 minutes. Restart the phone.
4, into the "Settings" - "sdcard and storage", u can be formatted with the built-in sdcard
Hello, I have a B5510, and had managed to root and install link2sd to free up some space on my internal memory even though I had reduced the phone's applications to the "basic essential".
I noticed that even by moving apps with link2sd, the free internal space was not increasing and was getting an error with the dalvik-cache. I tried to move the dalvik-cache to the sdext2 partition since that is where link2sd was looking for it, however accidentally removed it. Unfortunately with it I must have removed also the links to the apps on the sd card and was left with only a handful of useless applications.
After trying to find a solution for that, it seemed that the only option I had was to do a factory reset, which I did. Despite having regained access of the google market application, I am unable to log onto the internet / wifi, and register my samsung phone. The phone seems to be continuously on standby at "obtaining ip address...". If I try to set a static ip, it seems like the device is connected to the wifi but it actually isn't, or at least, I can't register it to find out since my only application with access to the internet is google market.
I don't know whether the loss of functionality is due to having removed the dalvik-cache or some samsung related applications like samsung apps. In any, I wish I could find a way to restore my phone to what it was before. I thought that maybe I could flash cyanogenmod but didn't find a version for my phone. However I really don't wish to remove the stock OS and would like to restore it as is. Do you guys have any suggestions, experiences, or any helpful advice? I really don't know what to do. I asked for help to samsung but I don't know whether they'll help since the device is rooted.

My suggestion would be to use Odin to flash your original firmware onto your handset as per this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1678568
If you cannot find the correct firmware in that thread (most likely as the files have not been converted it seems...huh!) then post in this thread and ask Doky73 very very nicely to convert the firmware files for you:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1678568
You will need to know what firmware you are currently running - you can probably check yourself on sammobile to see if that is available, once you know the stock for your phone you can search google - it may already be out there converted and ready to go!
Once that is flashed delete everything off the SD card and format and repartition it again then start afresh - good luck! :good:

Hello stokey and thanks for your quick suggestion! I've been looking all over the website trying to understand and apparently the best solution would be to flash the firmware with odin 1.85.
I've found the details of my firmware being the Italy version:
Code:
HIDSWVER B5510XXLF3/B5510ITVLF1/B5510XILE1/B5510XXLF3
ANDROIDVERSION 2.3.6
BASEBANDVERSION B5510XILE1
KERNELVERSION 2.6.35.7 [email protected] #103
BUILDNUMBER GINGERBREAD.XXLF3
and it seems I also found a download from sampro.pl
I'm hoping this goes well because it seems like I've only managed to take the situation from bad to worse so far! If you have any experience with odin, do you believe the phone (wifi especially) should work correctly after flashing?

Ok, I've downloaded a stock firmware corresponding to my original IDs, split it up with Ordinatrix and flashed it with Odin and it worked! It's back as new! Thanks a lot stokey and everyone for your very helpful threads, I thought my phone was good as dead!!
Hi,
I am currently following this 'How-to' guide here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/att-s7-edge/development/howto-update-galaxy-s7-edge-firmware-to-t3541329
However, when I get to trying to Sideload 'v8 (G935AUCS4APJ4) to unreleased (G935AUCU4BQA4) update file' - it says it 'cannot read *filename*'. I've visited the troubleshooting link in the OP's post, but to no avail. Tried everything, new USB Cable, different port, different ADB drivers etc.
I'd like to say that the problem lies with the file itself, but having seen other people have success with it, means it must be a problem on my end.
Do any of you have any suggestions on how to fix this? If possible, can anyone link a new upload of it?
For reference: I own the US model, G935AUCS4APJ4 is what I am on now. I am using the Sideload method as I don't have an SD Card. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks.

I had the exact same problem as you, which is strange because I've used ADB on the same setup (same cable, port, phone, OS, drivers, etc.) to sideload packages with no issue. It's such a hard issue to solve, as even RAM/space requirements could cause it.
Long story short, nothing fixed the problem for me either. I'd trust that your file is fine - I don't think you need to re-download it.
Sadly, I think your best option is just buying a cheap SD card. It sucks, but sideloading the package from the SD card via recovery worked perfectly for me.
As was said previously, use an SD card.

You need to place in *filemane* file you download and rename to .zip. In example if you name downloaded file update.zip you should wrote " adb sideload update.zip" w/o qotes.
Good luck.

So I wanted to install Blackball's Genesis ROM on my AL00 P10+. Unlocked bootloader just fine, installed TWRP, which appeared to work OK as well. When I boot into TWRP though (and I tried various versions already); I can't do much. Internal Storage is not recognized, shown as 0MB (SD card storage is recognized though). I can't mount anything other than my SD card, Wiping anything just gives error messages about being unable to mount xyz. Backup screen shows me no partitions to back up.
Things I have already tried from searching other threads:
- fastboot format userdata (command not allowed)
- Set a PIN in settings (never being asked for it in TWRP as I supposedly should be)
- advanced Wipe, change file system (already all on ext4, no effect)
- Switch off any encryption (switched off TrustSpace with no effect, nothing else found)
Any hint on where else to look or how to facilitate debugging my issue would be much appreciated!
Did you tried to install the rom in twrp?
Did you format data in twrp so you can see the internal storage.
Before doing anything,do a backup in twrp at least for oeminfo.
No, I never get to the point of installing anything and I have nothing to select for backup. How would I go about formatting?

All ROM is not support for AL00.
You should convert AL00 to L29.

Thanks a lot! I have Blackball looking at the problem in the ROM thread now. If he can't resolve it, I'll do that. Thank you!
Just to wrap this up for now: I did rebrand to L29 via funkyhuawei, found a TWRP that could read my filesystems (from https://forum.xda-developers.com/p10/development/testers-twrp-t3585256 ). Now I get Error 7 installing any ROM. No idea why. I went back to original AL00.
Any attempts to just root the device have failed as well.
From some other threads, there is some indication that my EMMC storage causes problems with some TWRPs. Most devices purchased in Europe have UFS and are therefore not affected.
Right now, I am keeping my eyes out for a TWRP that may work with my device.
