Hello. I am having a discusion on a swedish android forum about the Nexus and future official rom updates.
I am trying to tell these couple of guys that if an official eu rom with, lets say swedish languge support is released they will be able to flash that rom on there imported nexuses without any problems.
Am i right or?? Please answer

IF there are separete roms for USA models and EU models, there might be a check, if that's the case, you will need to unlock it to allow it to flash a customrom
If there's only 1 version coming for the nexus one, then it might be available in an OTA update

Ok, but isint it the same hardware in the phone they also ship to asia and uk, then it shouldent matter which "official rom" you flash.

How to upgrade my HTC Magic 1.5 (from Three)

Hi, I am a new member and sorry if this has been asked before but I can't find any reference to it in the forum.
I have HTC Magic (Android 1.5) from Three in Australia. I have updated the ROM with the latest Sense UI from HTC website.
I would like to install newer version of Android (1.6 or above) if possible and willing to root my phone if necessary as I have called both Three and HTC about an official update but to no avail for the last 6 months.
My phone build/config are as below:
Model number: HTC Magic
Firmware version: 1.5
Baseband version: 63.18.55.06JU_6.35.08.29
Kernel version: 2.6.27-5b476e83 htc-kernel (at symbol) and18-2 #989
So, what are my options? Any help of point to where I should look would be very much appreciated.

I just got my first Android phone yesterday, so I'm new to this too. I figured this would be a good time to make a first post. All the Android ppl here seem very cool, so this'll be my introduction.
I got a myTouch from ebay and intend to unlock it and upgrade. Here is my short to do list:
1) get unlock code. I'm going to ask someone on Facebook who is on T-mobile to call cust support with the IMEI for me. Failing that, I'll buy one from ebay for $10 (from one of the sellers with 99% rating, thousands sold).
3) learn basics of using myTouch + Android Market in its current state. This will also let me appreciate how much better it's gonna be after step 5
4) root phone (using tutorials online) to get access to install new ROM (firmware)
5) install CyanogenMod rom. I'll probably do step 4/5 using the tutorials on the CM site. Version 5.08 (Android 2.1) just came out this week and everyone is going nuts over how great it is.

Kitkat 4.4.3. OTA update

Hello guys,
Just wanted to confirm that today I'm getting the OTA update for my HTC One M7 GPE edition.
Now, my M7 was with Sense 5.5 but about a month ago I did all the steps and flashed an official GPE edition ROM. Until now I wasn't sure if I did the right thing and that the phone would automatically update itself. Now I see that I chose wisely.
Anyway, I live in Prishtina, Rep. of Kosovo, in Europe. There is where my phone is being updated.
I hope that the others will have this update, soon enough.

And sorry, I cannot seem to remember where te find the firmware version of the ROM. I will find out and tell you about that

reboot to bootloader and from computer do 'fastboot getvar all'

Kitkat 4.4.3 will be available soon for us officially

Just came across this http://www.techmaafias.com/2014/06/443-upgrade-for-moto-devicesegx-starts.html and according to it kitkat 4.4.3 upgrade for Moto devices starts rolling out today. So Moto G will also get it soon. If you wanna know whats new in this upgrade just go through the site. A heartly thanx to motorola for it.

how to update nxt-AL10C00B386 emui 4.1 to 5.0

Hi guys i just recently got a second hand Chinese version (living in australia) mate 8 build number :nxt-AL10C00B386. I want to update to emui version 5 so can someone point me into the right direction. There's so many download links and posts out there so i dont know which one is right. And is it possible to completely remove the chinese version firm wareand put the australian one in it? if so, can someone post the download link. Once again im pretty new to all this so please explain clearly about my update options.

I am on B386 and the Ota B575 is coming automatic.
But your M8 must be on Stock Recovery and unrooted!
After B575 comes B577 then the last Ota B581
This is all.
