Try this first.
Go to Channel Guide & press the menu key to enter Edit Channels
On the top where it says Select resolution & languages, click it and make sure that high definition is checked.
If that doesn't bring up all your hd channels then try this next step.
Goto settings and add a new room and it will ask you for your postal code. Enter and select shaw and then when it asks you if you get channel 2 or whatever...just say no. This should now show all the channels.
Hope this helps.

That's the same way I had to get it to see all my channels. Wouldn't allow you to see channel 64 but can access it by the number pad if I want change to that channel if needed.

First of all, sorry about my English. I hope I can describe my problem precisely.
On android 2.1 with Sense (official and custom roms) i can't find option "Regulatory domain" on advanced wifi settings. Maybe somebody know some tips about readd this option?

Menu, settings, wireless and networks, wifi settings, press menu button, choose advanced, select there.
Did you restore system data from another rom maybe? That can cause issues like this.
Yes, i did full wipe.
On VillainROM 12 i can't see regulatory domain on advanced wifi settings.
I have no idea what it does, but can also confirm I don't have an option, for "Regulatory thingy" on Villain12.

regulatory domain is where you can set which wifi channels the phone will search. in the us you are only alowed to use channel 1-11 while in europe you can use ch 1-13.
I really miss this option in VR 12 since channel 13 is the only one that is not crowded in my apartment.
uff i'm not alone Maybe smb know rom (2.1/sense) with this option?
VillainROM 12 -
ChocolateEclair 2.0 -
CronosDroid + (probably, info from changelog WiFi channels added +11 +12 +13)
FroydVillain has channel 1-14
Yes, but this rom based on froyo (without sense). On rom without sense i can't see this problem.
I have VillainROM 12 and don't see "Regulatory domain", but channel 13 works just fine. Maybe it depends on the radio version? I have 63.18.55.06JU_6.35.09.26.
hm.. intresting. i have vr 12 with 63.18.55.06PU_6.35.15.14 and i can't see channel 13.
I saw an interesting thing. When You change on Your AP the channel to less than 12, of course You can connect to wifi (hero must remember your ssid). Then if you change the channel on a larger You can see (on wifi manager from market) and you can connect to your network on 12,13,14 channel. Unfortunately it works only for the restart hero.
In my opinion it doesnt depend on the version of RADIO, because on ROM without sense everything works.

This is the one that I use as well. Keep in mind that it doesn't show up under programs if you do install it. It shows up in Connections... Also after installing it, it doesn't ask you to restart, but you have to for it to show up in the Connections menu.
It adds it Start->Settings->Menu at the bottom-> All Settings-> Connections. If you Long press it and select "Move to Top, it will throw it into the Start menu, but you can't make a quick link to it. But at least it can be right there when you hit the Start link at the top. It's labeled as "Wifi Internet Sharing".

[Q] Channel 12/13 Support

Hi There,
Has anyone noticed the a500 doesn't support channel 12/13 for UK?
This is proving quite irratating. Does anyone know how to enable this? In previous versions of android the regulatory settings could be controlled from the device settings but i can find no options. Does anyone know?
It looks like it is set for US 1-11channel, i dont know how to change it for europe 1-13channel.
Shouldn't be too hard, my Tegra 2 Gtab supports all 14 channels, you just select 11, 13 or 14(Japan). It doesn't even ask where you are, just offers those three options for the amount of channels.
But you have android 2.2, we have android 3.0.1 and this option in WIFI settings is missing there. How to change it otherway?

Any clue anyone?
Can a European or non-NA member can confirm they access channels 1-13 or 14? I'd be willing to risk flashing that to my A500, worst case I take it in and exchange it.

[HOW TO] Enable USB option in settings

If you have WP 8.1 dev preview you can try:
Launch Bing or Cortana
Type in ‘USB’
Swipe left to ‘phone’
Tap Settings > USB
Click to collapse
Now we see USB settings, but I don't know whether or not the feature works. Anyway - we see so that is already in the system.
Source: http://www.wpcentral.com/bing-search-reveals-hidden-usb-settings-windows-phone-81
Weird thing...
I was browsing registry a week ago and found these settings there. I posted to the 8.1 tweaking topic about them, with a sidenote that what happened, this didnt come tothe final build. After posting I was swiping in the settings and saw the USB -settings menu there. Then I just thought I have missed the whole usb-settings in the preview and edited my post about that.
Now that I saw the news abotu this in WPC yesteday, I went to the settings and the USB -settings is not present anymore. I dont know I probably then enabled/disabled it myself then from the settings.
Posted the reg tweak to the tweaking topic how to make the usb settings menu appear in the settings.

Same error in network profile.
I can get to the option on my Windows Phone 8x, but it says "Not connected" even though the phone is connected to my computer via USB.
Same for me
For network profile I have same error. I don't know what is that, but I tried

Me too for network profile, but I enabled USB in settings, as @Loco explained here. - of course with interop unlock, using samwp8tools and regedit-
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2718311&page=4
This is the command: LOCALMACHINE (check DWORD)
Path: SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shell\USB
Key: DisableUSBControlPanel
Value: 0
I've enabled both options, but they don't seem to work on my 820 (yet). Probably why the setting was hidden in the first place... :/
this is the reason...
I activated the settings but it doesn't allert me when I connect a slow charger
with web reg you can see there are more keys to USB :
possibly just a complete coincidence but not long after enabling this I started getting issues with the phone charging, in that it wouldn't charge or connect via USB, a reset fixed it and not been an issue since. probably nothing but if more folk find this happening it might be worth while keeping track of it to potentially warn others.
after all, its not as if these settings are super secrete or against the wishes of the networks so the settings are not live for a reason....perhaps that's it.
food for thought

Youtube defaulting to 480p when clicking on videos?

Anyone else having this issue? Wanted to post here and ask to see if other carrier variants are having the issue as well
This happens whether I'm on wifi or on LTE/HSPA
I have to manually click and update the stream

My streams start at 480p, but automatically go to a higher quality after a few seconds. I'm not sure why you are not seeing the same behavior. I am on Sprint, btw.

Yes it happens to me too
It always starts at the lowest resolution possible and 1440p is never an option. Also is anyone else annoyed by the lack of updated apps to support the displays resolution?
I forgot to mention you must go into the YouTube options and change the display options to Auto from the default of 480p. Once you do that, you should get the behavior I described above.

The thing is I don't want to have to do that everytime.
I want the video in it's highest available form each time and that's not happening
Some videos I'll get 720p, some I'll get 480p - never do I get 1080p unless I manually choose it.
Yes, I agree. From what I have read, the reason it is setup that way is to save data usage, by default. I do hope Google gives us a toggle to allow us to set it and forget it.
