There's a mistake in your title however, you wrote 'Generic NCB firmware', while it should be 'Generic DE firmware'.
Thanks, corrected it. Just a copy/paste mistake

thanks for this! hope the improvements are really in this!
just have to change the build.prop a little to make it look like it's the branded o2 for future updates.
other than that, great!!!!:good:
is it greate?
My device works much better. Handsfree in my car via BT is working again. Unlocking and camera is faster. No lags in album oder in the ui. Furthermore there are also some changes i.e. Music unlimited is now fully implemented in walkman.
The previous and first 4.2.2 was really horrible. Now we are back to the quality of the last 4.1.2 rom

All good, thanks for this. Flashed and rooted using new doomlord easy rooting toolkit method. Only problem is the battery jump bug appears to still be there below 30% when device rebooted

Thanks for the ftf file - great contribution - that version brings a lot of improvements and more speed in general.
What I discovered and which might help others, is that if you flash the ftf file with the Xperia flashtool, you need to tick the box "DATA" under "Wipe" as well. I didn't check that box the first time I flashed and from then on had the NFC firmware update failure issue (message on boot), many people seem to have with the .244 firmware version. After I flashed a second time, having the "DATA" box ticked, everything works smoothly, and the NFC update succeded during the first system start after flashing (but unfortunatly have to set up/customize my Z again, as it is completely reset by flashing the firmware).
Great update. All works good here. Very smooth and no lags

[Q] i have got E330S and rom is showing i9500

i have checked imei test on website its E330S abut in about its i9500
more over it has lte options and it its lte .. it has some korean apps..
i wana rflash it with i9506 rom.. can i do it plz guide me
Go to 'Download Mode' and check device there as well. If stock rom 'about' says i9500 you very likely have one indeed.
Download an app cpu-z and check your cpu and report back with a screen shot
Cpu z screen shot.. but I cant understand. Jts quard core

You can change the model that is shown on CPU-Z.
Edit Build.prop and search for I9500... than change that variable to SHV-E330S. It won't interfere with anything, just with installing items from playstore, it checks the compatibility using that variable.
Just search for that kernel, it is really e330s no doubts about that

If you have no radio issue and you are not sure how to update, better keep it as it is.
If you want to update, better to update full firmware for your device.
Use Phone INFO ★Samsung★ app > Menu > 'Firmware Browser' to look for the latest firmware for your device.

Sorry, by "radio" I mean "mobile network signal", not "FM radio"
You still can update the stock firmware by flashing it using Odin software.
You can download the stock firmware by open Phone INFO ★Samsung★ app > Menu > 'Firmware Browser'.
