Buy an active signal booster (ie a cell phone signal repeater).
Call your provider and compplain about coverage in the area.
Hold your phone 'right' lol.
Usually if you get bad signal in one area and good in another not much can be done at the device level to get better signal. You can try to use different bands and such but most times it wont help. Search for AWS on i337m to try, but I would guess it wont help.

The only thing I've been able to do about little to no signal is buy a repeater. I bought a zboost yx540 (I think that's the one I have lol) and went from 0-1 bar of EDGE to 2-5 bars of 4G. I've also done signal tweaks with the app android tweaker pro and it seems to have helped.

"Best"?
If you don't care about LTE, download and flash the .48 baseband.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2087227
Otherwise follow this guide if you want to try LTE. (If it's available in your area)

Thanks man

It goes a little farther than that. Whether you want LTe or not. 48 is known to dropout alot. I get a better signal and faster data speeds with the older radios

No. You will run into issues with connecting to the network. You will spend half the money on an AT&T full screen assembly.

Most likely no, you will have to get an AT&T model.

I thought AT&T and T-Mobile S4's were identical just different bands.

My theory is it would still have connection issues. I could never wrong so someone please correct if I'm wrong
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using xda app-developers app
Though they are identical, it is still best to always get OEM parts for your specific model number. The assembly is part of the antennas. The antenna lengths will vary per provider to connect to their respective networks. Any change or variations of antennas that are not exactly correct to the providers standards will greatly hinder cell signal performance. Also, the motherboards are identical but the back housing and front screen assembly of both will more than likely be different with how the antenna connects. Like I said, just get an AT&T one.

Man that's pricey, I am glad there is a definitive answer however at that price, samsung definitely fixes it cheaper.

The tmobile screen will work without issue. I exchanged my atts scratched up screen/housing with that of a tmobile s4. No issues with connection at all. Other than a damn shinny new screen

Tmobile screen will work fine you just need to swao the displays.

I stay using WiFi calling and I don't have any issues. No disrespect to anyone here but it could be your wireless router causing the issue.
Sent from my LG-D801 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Mine was a little choppy too. At home, at work, or at work office (all 3 with different locations and different routers). So I just turned it off..

Not choppy but robotic /digitized. Works though

Call and complain, I did just that today as the G2 is a replacement for an Amaze 4G that is actually worse. And the corporate store has a restocking fee of $50. And I rather like this phone.
Sent from my LG-D801 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I get choppy digitized audio on Wi-Fi calling. I've just accepted it as normal. It isn't a deal breaker
I just consider it an "if all else fails" type of thing since the quality is so poor. I wonder how much less radiation the phone puts out though.

WiFi Calling drops within 5 minutes
I have been searching all the forums for any info on this. I saw one post earlier, but it seems to have been removed. It showed a specific setting for un-checking router re-checks. I can't find the setting on LG G2. My problem:
Had an HTC One S. It never woke up with WiFi calling enabled, huge problem. Went to the LG G2, wakes up perfectly but after a few minutes (.30 to 7 min) it drops the call. All new WiFi hardware and I still get drops. 7 different calls with tech support, even changed the SIM to the one that came with the phone. There's a trouble ticket in. Hope it actually gets to LG.
More times than most, the upgrade/tweaking of the radio are the last of the updates the put out. For this...I would pay whatever the bounty is on this, now. Just get it Fixed!!!
off rant
As the title suggests, has anyone on Three got 4G yet? It says it's activated now, however I'm on the latest Bobcatrom with network selection automatically selecting LTE (autoconnect), I'm still on H?

They have only activated for so many people at the moment, I'm not sure how you check though mate

Ah ok, many thanks for the reply (and I've just realised I posted this completely in the wrong place, my bad, mod please do move accordingly!). I've restarted my phone, since coming back to London from up north and yeah it's still not activated. May give a all over next few days if still not switched...
I heard they have started the rollout in London for selected customers (around 1000) for now with more customers expected to be given access in January.
When asked their tweeter account replied saying all test users have already been picked but to look out for further updates from them. Bit dissapointing if you ask me.
That's really helpful to know where I stand, but I couldn't agree more, a dam shame they couldn't roll out full availability in one go.

If the phone is locked to a network, it should ask for the code to unlock it. If it's not asking for that and just shows no signal.... Then the is definitely something fishy
