Stock gapps - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshoot

Can someone please post unthemed gapps. A lot of roms are getting themed, which is awesome but I dont care much for themed apps, especially the google apps.

Try downloading titanium backup and removing the gapps and then reflash the stock gapps. Hopefully, that will bring them back to normal

Try this : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2012857
You might have to delete the apps from system/apps first, then flash gapps in order to get rid of the theming.

Are you running stock or custom? If it's custom, just try to flash this gapps: http://goo.im/devs/paranoidandroid/roms/gapps/pa_gapps-full-4.2-20130410-signed.zip
It comes with all the google application installed.
(Don't forget to wipe cache/dalvik cache before installing.)

Is possible to flash then with slimbean?
It's an official Gapps so yes! I did used it on PAC ROM earlier this morning, had no problems.

But why cant i download these apps via playstore?
Maybe caused by a problem when flashing your gapps package.

Changing Gapps

Currently I am using AOKP ROM by whitehawkx with gapps-jb-20130301.
I am using that combination for a while now.
My question is, is it possible to change Gapps, example to pa_gapps-full-4.2-20130427-signed.zip without wiping data?
thanks in advance.
Yes I think its fine just wipe cache and dalvik just to be sure.. Someone else would have to confirm though ?

I would dirty flash the ROM and then the GAPPs but why do you want to change? They're all basically the same anyway

Be careful because if you download some Google apps from the market that where not in the regular gapps then you flash pa gapps that include all of Google apps your going to have conflicts having the same apps in data and system

Is this also pushed to the Play Store? Or should I flash these separately

The original poster should of made it clear this is if you are running a third party ROM based off of 4.3. If you already have gapps installed, they will be updated automatically anyways.

I've done it with ROM toolbox lite (sometimes you need to click uninstall a few times for it to take) and root installer off the play store.
Anymore I just flash core gapps so its not even included. All of the Google apps can be downloaded off the play store as far as I am aware.

If you don't trust with samfirmware then no more other should you trust too!
Just download gapps and flash them.
No need to flash the complete rom again btw the app which offers u to install modded google play also allows you to restore original google play.

1) device status can be made official if you are below 4.4.2 using wanam xposed.
2) gapps work on all roms. They are google apps combined into a flashable zip.

1) you can't downgrade to 4.3 from 4.4.2. If you currently are using 4.3 then it is ok.
2) install xposed framework then download wanam xposed. Open wanam exposed and go to security where you will find the option.
I am attaching a screenshot of it
