Indian OTA 4.1.1?

Any one receive an OTA update yet? There is a new firmwae on sammobile date 5th of december. Downloading as we speak.

Yes i too wanna know if ota has been made available or not.

There is an official 4.1.1 firmware release for India with the suffix of CLL5. Can get from Samsung download site HERE
The release of 4.1.1 is at a global scale ...

Just flashed the latest update via ODIN. OTA and kies refused to show the update.
I'd get any firmware file from sammobile. They are more trustworthy.
Besides that site doesn't even have the file.

If you flashed latest Indian version pls tell me complete procedure to flash.
Also pls upload required software/files
And do i need to clear data after update???i am currently on stock ics 4.0.4

Download the latest file from sammobile and then odin flash it. I don't see why u can't even if you are on a leaked firmware.

Installed the same through ODIN flash yesterday. Had to take a back-up of data before restoring it.:good:

The fonts look really odd. Anyone notice they aren't as clear any more

I have a rooted P3100. I was able to install the OTA directly on the tab, and retain root as I could use Titanium Backup etc afterwards. YMMV of course.
I got an error message at the end saying that OTA did not succeed etc but that was irrelevant and probably just some ROM check from Samsung.
The tablet felt a bit slow during the first few minutes of use but is working more smoothly now. I don't like the new launcher much, somehow the stock 4.0.4 felt nice even after I had tried some of the other launchers. Hopefully it will feel better after I get used to it.

No you don't need to flash previous firmware if you are flashing full Rom.
You need to flash required firmware if you are installing ota update.

Yup this update is an utter ****...no screenshot soft button ...tablet UI notification window has been moved ...blury text...

Anyone having Wifi issues after the OTA update like me?
My Wifi on Tab2 became unstable
Keeps popping that "Connected to Wifi Network" Message, though Signal strength is very strong, Just few feet away from router.
Also does anyone know how i can i get the Lock Screen rotated to Landscape mode with the PIN lock.
Mine just stuck in Portrait Mode.
So far TouchWiz home crashed atleast once,
slower performance than 4.0.4
current JBA 4.1.1 sucks so far, for my Tab2

[Q] Which galaxy s4 i9505 ROM to chose.

Hello, im trying to reset my phone to stock, and while searching for stock rom it shows AT&T, Verizon versions etc... and nothing else. Where can i find stock rom for international i9505 which isn't bound to specific carrier.
P.S
I was trying to find it in samfirmware website, but there were only country/carrier specific verisons.

Yeah you can do that,only if there is an available update for your device

You can only use that if you are running a stock ROM in the first place. Any type of modification to your device and kies will not recognise your phone. You need no binary count, stock recovery and stock ROM. Basically how was when you first took it out of the box. If you do install latest firmware you may well end up with the new bootloader and the e fuse security enhancement.

bro just check the software update again
and be sure u are not on custom recovery or rooted
and the update is only available on OTA and not on KIES

I checked on OTA right now, it says that the latest updates have already been installed
I am getting the update via kies but it will take a lot of timen i want OTA update

as i checked on sammobile
it shows only ota update is released in India and there is no kies update available yet
while i was flashing cm11 today it showed me the 4.3 update
but i denied that and rooted the phone and flashed cm11

even my frnd has not got it yet
i was stunned bcoz after so big wait i was frustrated and was going to root and flash cm11 and it showed up and started downloading

It's downloading right now through Kies, its about midway. Will report back how it goes.
Also, please use the 4.3 discussion thread and Indian S3 Owners thread. No need to make another thread!
EDIT: Flashed, works fine. Although it's taking a huge amount of internal storage, I think I'll do a factory reset.

Hi
I have been using Nightly 4.2.2 for a while now but seeing as 4.3 official is on its way I would like to flash back to 4.1.2 so I can OTA it.
This is going to work right?
Anyway I have been trying to find a GBR in this link, although when I bought TAB it would factory reset to Germany and I would simply change the language on setup....
Is there a GBR or do I need to go with a GER one, cant see either in this link

You can flash a stock firmware and receive OTA updates normally.

Flashed with a united kingdom download and now it is in perm loop on boot
This was originally a Germany version although why should that matter it's still the same device?

Make sure the model is the same.
No matter the firmware, if the model is the same the firmware should work.
Try to reflash again.

My apologies, I assumed 4.3 due to note 2 already being given it, now know it is only 4.2 they will eventually give us...sorry for my mis quote

My note 3 is running the belgian 4.4.2 I downloaded from Sam mobile and flashed with odin, though the phone says it is a custom rom and when I click check for updates it also says phone is modified.
Anyone know what the problem is here and how I can restore ota updates?
The phone was rooted when i was on 4.3 but I have flashed first the Polish and then the Belgian 4.4s via odin

downgrade to 4.3 of ur region it may solve the problem.

You can't go back to JB from KK... You may as well have said to connect to Kies and let that fix it...
To the Op, check if your Knox warranty void has been tripped, if it has you may as well root and install a custom rom and/or recovery, or at the very least xposed framework.
You can't reset theKnox but you can use a mod to trick the system into thinking its official which will allow OTA updates. You may need a couple of things to be active so the OTA will install but I'll let you look that up.

Nope, once the bootlader has been upgraded there's no way to go back....

So once knox has been Tripped you cant get ota updates even on an official rom?

You can get OTA, just not if it's rooted and status is custom....

thats my problem mate, Im not rooted, im on stock and it still says custom even after I have reflashed with odin.

Used to read about a bug on samsung phones where if it contains too many files it would show system status as modified. Try transfer as much as your files from phone memory into sdcard then remove it. Then check again system status. It sounds crazy but i'm pretty sure that's my understanding from the thread

If you have an SD Card remove it then boot up. Sometimes causes issues.

Strange, when flashing back to complete stock everything goes back to official (bar knox of course) - did you try the xeo? It's possible if you've used another firmware (carrier or country) the device may not like it.
Also a complete wipe may help too.

Well when I reflashed and it didn't work I did a factory reset and cleared the cache to no prevail.

Mine is the same. I went to stock because my official kit kat came out. VIA O2 germany.
Still says custom. Might root and try triangle away. Not sure if I want to re set all back up again today though
