LG L5 HARD BRİCK (i Think ) - Optimus L3, L5, L7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys i need a very big big problem. My phone was bricked today. i Think it's Hard Brick.
No Boot,No Recovery mode. Any Help ?
Sorry my bad english.

I assume your phone isn't responding to anything at all.
Try to pull out the battery, put it back, and then try to boot.
If that doesn't work, try to boot it while using another battery (if you have one)
If that also doesn't work, leave the phone on the charger for a while and then try to boot it.
And if all above doesn't work, it's likely your phone is bricked. Return it to the store where you bought it and they will send it to LG.
LG will "repair" the device and it will work again, for a week or so. When it is bricked for the second time, your store will send it again to LG and this time they will admit to be unable to repair the device, therefore they will send you a new one
At least that's what happened in my case :S. Mine suddenly turned itself off, and afterwards was unable to boot or charge.

Phone won't start, boot, nothing!

First of all, I have not rooted my phone or anything. Just kept in clean and didn't do anything strange with it. I always used the protection cover for my phone and never even dropt it.
The current situation is that I got the phone from someone else, so no guarantee.
One day I had a call and after I hung up the phone went dead. I just thought it went off so I tried to reboot but it didn't came any further than just some backlights. After several tries, I used another battery, I had the phone on the loader, both just didn't help.
Does anyone have any idea what to do next?
Great thanks.
take it to your service provider, but since you didnt buy it from the store, they might not be able to help you man...

Hello, and welcome to XDA.
Just to clarify you have an HD2 correct? If so, have you installed anything....an application or modification or anything to customize or personalize?
i bought this phone off ebay suppose to be new

Try this first, hold both volume keys, and the red power button, then reset the phone, if that doesn't work, then your phone is dead, sorry
Keyword there, "SUPPOSED" to be new, many times, people break their phones with a program that wasn't meant for it, and they put it on eBay. You get those kinds of people on there. Sounds like you need to file a claim on PP if you still can, file a complaint, because you just bought a broken phone.
Only way to make sure it is "NEW" is to buy a BNIB one, buying a new or used one is a hit or miss if the guy before you messed it up or not.
check the battery connection pins and make sure none of them are bent. There's 5 of them, and they should all be even in a row, like this: ll l ll
I have done the hard reset and the soft reset.
If i do get inside the phone it would work for 20 30 min and then goes off
to re open it i have to take the batt out for at least 5 min and then retry again.
I have contacted the seller and he said to give it to the lab and he will refund me on whatever it costs.
sigh
Before you take it to a lab, check those battery pins. Make sure they are straight. Easy. Next, try it without the micro SD card in it. See if it works. If it does then it's a crappy micro SD card. If it still freezes, do a hard reset. After a hard reset if it still freezes Then get a replacement. Did it look like it was in a sealed box? Even if it was, the seller needs to take it back unless it had a no returns mention on the auction.
Its a faulty unit. Had the exact same thing happen to me with my launch model. T-Mobile replaced it for me free of charge. In your case contact pp as you just got screwed
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
the problem its the sd card boot ur phone w/o sd card and it will boot as it is lol save all the data of the sd card and reformat it. it happened to me...
Are u able to solve this problem...
I am also facing the same problem.... I tried even installing custom ROM etc... still the same.
It start if i disconnect the battery for 10 min and try again.... But it can crash any time..
i would suggest returning it asap if possible.
I had this problem happen towards what has to be the end of the life of my hd2. It would freeze there until you took the battery out and hoped it booted.
Later mine wouldn't boot and all and is now basically a 600 dollar vibrator since all it does is vibrate till the battery dies.

My phone wont turn on, I *DOUBT* its bricked!

Hello, I have a Galaxy S4 from at&t, the i337 model.
Since like 2 weeks ago my phone started rebooting by it self a couple of times a day, it first starts freezing then reboots into an endless bootloop on samsung logo! The only way I was able to turn it back on was leaving it alone without the battery for a couple of minutes, then insert it again and without turning it on, put my Mophie Cover (which is a cover with an external battery or whatever its called) and then it would turn on.
Yesterday I pulled out the battery and went to sleep, leaving the phone without a battery for aproximately 5 hours, now my phone wont show any signs of life!!
Here's what I've done so far:
*I have 2 batteries (Both of them work fine, I just have an extra one in case I need it) and none of them would do anything.
* I have tried with 2 different chargers and nothing.
* Charging for 2 hours both batteries and nothing.
* Turn it on without a battery, plugged directly to the chargers and my cover, again nothing! :s
I doubt its bricked because there's no reason for it to be bricked, I am on stock 4.4.2 directly from at&t but my phone is rooted since the update came out. I havent installed any exposed modules recently either. Also didnt update any apps because my google playstory never connected.
Please help Idk what to do, I recently moved to the UK to do a Masters deegre, that means I'm not even in my country!
Sorry to say, but you seem to be hard bricked. If your Samsung warranty is still in tact, try cashing in on it. If you have insurance on it thru at&t, T-Mobile, etc. call your provider and tell them you want to file an insurance claim. There is a debrick method for the GS3, but not sure there is one for the GS4.
but how did that happened?! :s My phone is over 1 year old so no warranty and I cant even claim it since im not in the United States..
Please some one help me, I can try anything :s I was reading something about Jtags but not sure if that would work??

These things happen, mostly at random. You could use a JTAG service to get it back, they aren't too cheap though. Here is a link for a Jtag service by mobiletechvideos:

V20 VS995 Bootloop (no root, 1CA update)

Today on my way to work I was playing music through my bluetooth and the music stopped. I went to reset bluetooth and it took almost 3 mintues to turn off. When I went to turn it back on, it wouldn't. I powered off and reset the phone. After, it got stuck in a bootloop. LG logo for about 7-8 secs and restarts.
Before the bootloop, I was noticing a few weird things: A notification of USB Options was always up, was saying I was using my phone as a USB Power Supply. If I changed the options it would revert back to USB PwrSply. I noticed the battery life was getting a lot worse. Also, when plugged into Quick Charge it would not say "Quick Charging" anymore.
I can get into the Recovery menu, but all options revert to the bootloop.
I can get to the Download menu. After about a few seconds of sitting on the Download menu, it starts the LG logo bootloop.
I have not tried to flash another stock ROM. I have downloaded the LGUp program, Uppercut, LG Mobile Support Tool, and LG Mobile Driver. I also downloaded the previous 1BA firmware kdz file.
I believe I have the knowledge to reflash properly, but I do not want to make the phone worse or lose my data. Plus, I don't want to void the warranty.
TL;DR I have bootloop and want to save my data!
Any suggestions would be very much appreciated! Thank you!
Flashing won't help you, this is a hardware problem. You can try freezing then phone, seeing if it will boot, and then backing up your files a fast as you can. Alternatively, if that doesn't work, you can take a hair dryer and heat the phone up.
Either way, LG will definitely take care of it under warranty since those morons can't seem to make a decent heat sink that lasts. Every LG flagship phone since the G4 has had this problem. I am sure the V30 and G7 will be no different -- they just haven't been out long enough yet.

I was hoping that this wasn't the issue. I was hoping that it was from the 1CA update, because the other random problems seemed to have started when it updated. Should I at least try to reflash? Would reflashing to a stock/OEM ROM (the one i mentioned above) void the warranty?
Also, when I restarted the phone today, that was the first restart that I have done since the update. Not sure if that means anything, but maybe??? lol
No, flashing a KDZ does not void the warranty even by LGs terms.
In the US rooting your phone doesn't void the warranty either .. no matter what OEMs will have you believe.

Awesome! That's definitely good to know. Thanks.
I'm going to attempt to downgrade flash it. If it doesn't work, I'll contact LG. I dont really care about buying a new phone. My data on it is worth WAY more to me than the phone. (Guess I really should start backing up my stuff XD )
If you have any suggestions as to recovering my data, even if it kills the phone, I'm all ears!
Update: I attempted to flash or just access the phone as storage using many different ways. While I was browsing for new answers, I kept the phone connected to my computer and left it bootlooping. Eventually, the phone battery died and booted up properly. The battery was at 1%, but everything loaded just fine. I was able to recover all my data and save it to my PC.
Thinking that this was a soft-brick due to the phone actually fully booting, I was going to attempt to root and flash. I let the phone charge to 100%. When I reset the phone to implement the root, the phone got stuck in a BOOTLOOP AGAIN.
Any ideas in why this would happen? Does this mean it's a software based bug, or hardware?

I'm not sure to be honest, your situation seems strange
Was it hot and was your phone in the sun during your trip to work? Overheating can make weird things happen.

It wasn't hot at all, I had the A/C in my car on and it sets on a car mount that mounts to the air vent. It gets direct A/C. I didn't have it charging either.
All I did was connect my phone to Bluetooth, play a mix, and drive 15mins to work at 6am in the morning. It was still dark and cool out. The music stopped and I tried to reset bluetooth. It took forever to turn off and wouldnt turn back on. I reset phone and BOOTLOOP. ???
There is no damage to the phone physically. I don't think I've ever dropped it ever. It's gotten hot a couple times, but that was months and months ago.
I've never had a problem with this phone since I got it almost 2 years ago, since the 1CA update, I had a couple bugs, now this bootloop.

Bootloop after battery replacement?

Good afternoon, here me again, this time with a different Motorola model :silly:
Well, this case is a bit... stupid, but still worry me a bit.
Short question: Is it possible what after a battery replacement, the phone could be in bootloop?
Explanation + question:
My mother's phone is currently a couple states away (I'm in Caracas, the phone is in Valencia... 200 Km away). Her phone had the battery completely dead, even turning on only connected to wall charger, and when disconnected, turning off just seconds after. The battery replacement is sold by only a single seller all across the country, located in Valencia.
I sent them the phone for they being able to install the battery. Yes, there's a high risk of they not wanting to send me the phone back, but... it's better than nothing, as the technicians in Caracas asked me to also bring the LCD+Digitizer as there were no warranty the screen surviving the replacement
They reported me on Thursday the phone was ready and set to send to Caracas. Sadly, Valencia suffered an electricity cutoff for almost 24 hours and they needed to wait until yesterday afternoon.
Finally, today they wrote me the phone is in a bootloop. Supposedly, the phone gets stuck on Lenovo logo and doesn't move forward.
I asked them to send it even with that bootloop and what I would solve it when it arrives. I need to wait until Monday for the shipping.
However... Is it possible the phone to get into a bootloop after a battery replacement? It isn't rooted or anything. All is stock with no tweaks, and was sent with a working ROM.
And if the answer is yes... Is there a way to recover things on Internal Memory? You know, Moto RAZR M had stock flashable ROMs without the CFC thing, (just 1FF), so the internal memory was left without changes and able to keep working.
Also, if someone can help me with how-to flash a ROM on this phone, I'll be very glad... On the XT907 it was just downloading the .ZIP file, getting into RSD Lite, and just select the .xml file So I'm completely new to this phone.
Oh, and side note:
It isn't even rooted. It's 100% original.
