[Q] Failed to optain IP address after restoring CWM backup. Help? - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So here's the deal;
I used CF Auto-Root to root my phone a while back with no issues. Today, I made a full CWM backup and I decided to flash ForceROM 2.3 just to see what it was like. After I flashed it, I kept getting "Failed to obtain ip" in the WiFi for my network, so I thought maybe there was an issue and restored the backup (partially because I couldn't get it working and partially because I had forgotten what all I had before flashing. D'oh).
My problem is I'm still getting the "Failed to obtain ip" error when trying to connect to WiFi. I've tried rebooting the phone, taking the battery out, resetting the router, forgetting the network and reconnecting, double- and triple-checked the encryption key, and tried the WPS function. It was working just fine on this network earlier today and even after I rooted it.
Any ideas what this could be? It was so sudden I honestly have no clue, and the only thing I can think of is something with the ROM but I wouldn't even know where to begin when trying to fix it x_x

"Unable to stop Wi-Fi"

I've got a Nook ST with Glowlight i've rooted about a month ago. Everything's was fine the first few weeks. I've returned from a weeklong trip and suddenly my Nook won't stay connected to Wifi. The connection will stay up, but only for the first minute or so from bootup. Turning the Nook off and on seems to fix the problem, but only momentarily. The message I receive, along with a greyed out wifi box, is "Unable to stop Wi-Fi."
Google shows a few Color/Tablet users reporting a similar problem and its cause being a faulty wifi switch.
I was curious if anyone's had this problem or can recommend a way to a solution for me. I'm unable to factory reset and reroot it at the moment, but this weekend I should have the time to try it.
i guess u have problem with wifi driver ..... i have no idea about how i can reinstall it , but i can help u reroot ur device safely and update ur device with latest firmware 1.1.2 from BN that can replace/overwrite on missing/corrupted files in ur system that make ur problem
good luck

[Q] Cannot enable WiFi?

So as of today, the WiFi on my family's Nexus 7 tablet no longer wants to enable. Upon doing a factory reset, we found we could no longer get past the "Select a network" screen. It just got stuck on the message "Turning on wifi". There was no skip button as there would be usually and nothing else could be pressed. I suspect a hardware issue, because I've tried many solutions and the closest I've come is just making the device work again. It was unrooted at the time of the issue. When recovery was accessed we were met with a "No command" message.
So the first thing I did was get to work on re-flashing the device. I started back with the original OS from Google's stock ROMs. Fastboot worked great, but I was still facing the same problem on first run of the device. The wifi simply would not enable. After this, however, the recovery menu seemed to have fixed itself. Through this I did a reset process as well...with no results.
The last thing I tried, which restored basic functionality to the device, was installing the Paranoid Android custom ROM. At this point, you could access regular apps and other things. I reinstalled the Gapps and the device was back to normal, with the exception of the wifi. The wifi is a big reason we use the tablet. It would be preferable to find a fix, as we would rather not have to replace something that only has one problem.
As of now, the device is rooted, with superuser on Paranoid Android 4.4.2.
Anyways, I really hope there's a solution to this. It's a great tablet.

Please help (installing dirtysanta)

Ok. So as the title says i'm stuck. Got through everything but whenever I went to install the rom it simply said install finished but it gave me an error about being able to mount the system. Whenever I went to reboot it said no os installed are you sure and against my better judgement I decided to reboot but after 47 minutes it never booted. Restarted the phone, can't get adb to work. Also can't get into twrp. Someone please help I know I've probably just made a stupid mistake somewhere..
Fixed it and got the os installed. However, I'm a continuous loop of trying to enter my email and login. It will always take me back to the enter owners email screen (which I am doing). I have tried to reset password and some other things but nothing is working. If it matters I do have the dirty santa stock ls997 rom installed with supersu. Adb isn't working at this screen.
How'd u fix it...??
Im having the same issue, what did you do to get out of the boot screen? I got stuck in that email login as well and i just needed to connect to wifi to get working.
You need to do a profile update before data will work. So you need a wifi connection to setup(or you can just skip until you can do the profile update

HELP: Encryption Unsuccessful TB-X104F

I i had to reflash the firmware the correct one TB-X104F_S000024_180930_ROW_DCC. Anyway it wasn't booting at all before i flashed. Now it boots, shows the logo etc and constantly says Encryption unsuccessful!, so i reset it and factory reset it but nothing changes.
I have no idea where else to go, bootloader is locked and all i can do is flash the firmware. Would there be a way to remove this from the files within the firmware?. It seems like android is there in the background but i can't get away from that encryption unsuccessful screen!
Sorry if none of this makes sense.
Yo. I got the same tablet bro. Been trying to figure out a custom recovery for her. A stock ROM would be great to have and I haven't been able to find one anywhere. Might I inquire as to where you found yours? It would be a huge relief to know I can fix it if I break it lol.
encryption
If you download the Lenovo MOTO smart assistant from Lenovo support it has a resque option. I also used that to root my tb-x104f. It downloads the original everything and if you take the boot image from the file it downloads and replace it in one that has been modified from magisk it will rescue it and you will have root also thatd what I did with mine
same problem here, reflashed with stock rom. and not resloved

Did you fix this issue?
I am having the same problem.
Thanks
Same problem here (my error reads "Decryption unsuccesful", but I think it's the same as yours).
After a few tries, I believe that it is a problem with the internet connection. After the factory reset, if I skip the wifi connection step, it starts normally. And it is completely usable. I can load pdf documents or apks by the usb from a computer and it runs correctly. But whenever I try to set the wifi connection, it updates something and it causes the tablet that the next time I turn it off, I find the error on the picture when turning on. It asks for a password and no matter which password you enter, then it delivers this message.
In resume, right now it is a completely functional tablet if you NEVER connect it to the internet and load anything you need via usb or bluetooth.
I tried to reset it with Lenovo Smart Assistant, but the result is the same.
I am looking for custom roms to try if it's something about the stock rom, but I haven't found any. Can anyone reccomend me a rom for Lenovo E10 X104F 2GB?
Solution: (Worked for me)
Format Data as F2FS in TWRP. (Advanced Wipe)
Then reboot and wait.

Can't connect to ANY Wi-Fi AP

Hi together,
yesterday, suddenly, my OP8Pro stopped connecting to any WiFi Access Point AT ALL.
I tried it at home, at work, everywhere. I can still make a WiFi HotSpot without any problems, but cannot connect or save a AP in the setting. I see every AP without problems, but when i click on them, I'll get an error message.
I tried everything expect the factory reset. I cleared all network settings, all app setting, wiped the cache and so on. Even flashed the whole Beta 11 Image again.
Can somebody please give me an advice? I want to avoid the factory reset, because I want to wait for the EU-Rollback Update to only configure my device once again.
Thank you for your help
