Guys,
Just a very quick question, is it possible to change the fonts on the Nexus 10 and if so does it need rooting?
Cheers
Yes. Fonts can be changed like every android device. And yes, you need root permissions.

Hi All,
I have an app on my HTC Desire called Font Changer (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=744363&highlight=font+changer) which changed my system fonts without needing FULL root access (i.e. S-OFF).
I have tried the app on my Nexus S, but it just FC's.
Has anyone discovered a way to change fonts on the Nexus S as Gingerbread has probably killed the previous method?
Thanks in advance!
I use font installer from the market

At least you tried!
You'll have to try revolt/rootbox or one of the other roms combining features of aokp/cm/pa. Besides that the only other thing you can do is set up a custom build environment and manually build a rom yourself.

For someone who hasn't yet installed Paranoid Android yet, what's the difference between the LMT pie and Paranoid Android Pie?
Anyone managed this successfully? I changed the build.prop to 160dpi, how tablet then refuses to boot. Reflashed 4.2.2, miss my lower dpi!
On stock rom by the way.

Have you tried using a utility like this to make the changes?

Yeah, tried root toolbox pro and build.prop editor, they dont seem to gain access to the file to change it. Have you had any luck with it?
Give it a try..

Don't forget to love the thanks button if I help you.
Hasn't worked since 4.0, used to use it on my s2!

OK, in case anyone else runs into this, remember to change the permissions back to 644 after you have made your changes!

I managed to change my dpi to 160 with no issues. I actually prefer it on 177.

I have a question that might seem silly.... How to make a root on my Nexus without changing anything on it, I do not want to change the rom or anything else. Most of the tutorials I've found on net offer root and immediately change rom, and add this or that...
I want to keep my stock Android 4.4.2 but I want to get root access. Is this possible, and how??
Thanks in advance, G.
Just a little bit of searching could have led you here:

Otherwise you must unlock boot loader.

just search.you'll get what you want
You have to unlock first = full factory erase, then root.
There might be other ways to root without unlocking first... But I don't know any

If you dont like Nexus 6 sounds, just flash "Revert to stock.zip".
or if you want to have both of Nexus 6 and Stock sounds, just flash "N6&Stock Sounds Merged.zip".
