Safe strap not booting. - Droid RAZR M Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I installed Safe Strap and used it to make a backup of my stock ROM, But I didn't use it to flash anything. Instead I used CWM to flash CM10, But since it's still not finished

I accidentally hit submit... -_-
But as I was saying, I decided I should use my stock ROM until it got done. But Safe Strap isn't booting on startup. I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it. No luck. Is there any fix? Or even just some way to flash my backup with fast boot? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

So, i think i destroyed my defy.

Ok!
So i have green lensed defy. I already had CM9 installed( installed it using normal procedure). So i decided i will return to stock, by recovering backup. So i did. After a while on stock, i decided to go back to CM9. I forgot to do factory reset, and after install wipe chache and dalvik.I booted phone, and entered requesting data. I after that got back to recovery and did factory reset via custom recovery, and installed it again using correct method. My phone seems a bit slower than before, and did i damaged my phone?

[Q] [Fixed] struggling flashing Eclipse v1.1

okay guys so i recently destroyed my headphone jack and received a new XT907 via mail today. immediately i obtained root access (verified with root checker) and installed safestrap 3.12 succussfully. installed recovery, partitioned 1 gb for data and created rom slot one successfully. wiped cache/dalvik and installed the eclipse rom successfully. rebooted and now i bootlooped on the eclipse boot animation. so i thought no problem ill just reboot and wipe system and try again. so i did so and again, wiped cache/dalvik and re-installed Eclipse on rom slot 1. finally i get past the eclipse boot animation and got to the screen where it says "android is upgrading" and lists the apps '"/128 yeah i think there was 128 of them but anyways so it successfully upgrading them and now i am on the screen displaying "Android is upgrading" "starting apps." with the little loading wheel next to starting apps. i am currently stuck on this screen. Its been over 7 full minutes since i was typing this out and waiting for something to happen. i wiped everything and tried one more time and once again i am stuck at this part... any suggestions on why this might be occurring? I had absolutely no problem installing eclipse on my old phone and i am doing nothing different what-so-ever... i could really use your assistance guys! thanks

Does it do the same thing with a ROM like BDH?
Re: [Q] struggling flashing Eclipse v1.1
Yes I literally just tried bdh to check. I am using safe strap v3.11 (TWRP v2.2.2.1) just want to confirm I'm okay with that right? I am all out of ideas.

Where did you get the safestrap from? The RAZR Forum? or here?
http://www.droidrzr.com/index.php/t...ery-v31-0104-312-stock-flashing-all-versions/
Because the one from xda RAZR forum is not the most recent for the RAZR M...
The RAZR M is 3.12 not 3.11...
This link (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1391900) is not correct.

I'll literally go through step by step what I did in a nutshell. I know I mentioned most above but I really wanna solve this. Got the phone. Got root, installed safe strap with the link I just posted. Installed recovery. Put eclipse and bdh on root SD.partitioned 1gb. Wiped data/cache and wiped dalvik. Navigated to eclipse. Installed successfully. Wiped cache/dalvik once again (wiped data too after many tries) rebooted phone. I immediately bootloop on the eclipse animation. I hold volume down + power to power off. I go back to safe strap and wipe dalvik/cache once more. It then s
Gets passed the boot loop but then I'm stuck on "starting apps" as mentioned above... wtf is going on!! Lol

Sounds like you are missing wiping the system...you want to wipe the top 4 (cache/dalvik/reset/system) twice before doing anything and just cache/dalvik after...

Did that and a boot loop still occurs... I am so confused on why I am having trouble : / like I'm literally doing nothing different than last time. The only difference is the version of safe strap.. that's it

No problem at all I appreciate it. That's the thing.. I like to consider myself moderately knowledgeable about this stuff and I rarely ask big questions like this but I really simply don't understand why its not working.. like its getting ridiculous. Also very annoying

make sure that the only custom recovery you have installed is safestrap 3.12, people have been having trouble installing ROMs because they have more then one recovery installed..
if it helps, delete slot 1 and start fresh again.
if that doesn't work.. launch the safestrap application and uninstall recovery (make sure you've deleted slot 1 first)
and then uninstall the app, and then you can install safestrap again... open the app install recovery and now you can try installing Eclipse again. hope it helps.

I'm downloading the file as is onto my computer. I'm not touching it/extracting anything. I then put it on the root of SD card like your supposed to and flashing from there.

Yeah well I put the zip file from my computer into the phone's internal storage, I went into safestrap recovery wiped all data.. flashed Rom and it worked fine
choosing the external storage option did not work.
so yeah make sure that you put it in the internal storage and then choose the internal storage option.

I have no OS, please help!!!

Hey everyone. So I thought that I would flash CM11 to my Nexus 10 last night, coming from CM10.2 via CWM. Well something happened and it wouldn't let me flash it, it said status 7 and install aborted.,I backed everything up, so no big deal right? Wrong! My backup says MD5 mismatch. So now my tablet won't boot past Google screen, except for into CWM. What can I do to fix this? I only have access to a mac computer.

have you tried the Nexus Root Toolkit? You can flash stock rom from it with just one click. I'm not sure if it works on mac, but give it a try, it's in the development section
I did just that! Thanks.

So your phone will boot but turns off.
You need to root install custom recovery and you could reflash one of the stock rooted roms.
You also could try to lg flasher and flash stock but must get into download mode.

I installed the gpe rom on my s4 using cwm and I don't think it supports it so I have no data on my phone.
I want to install twrp recovery how can I do this and delete cwm without data? I don't have wifi
Download to sdcard from a computer or friends phone, tablet, laptop. Insert card, boot to recovery, install twrp from card. Reboot to recovery. Now you should be on twrp.

Cool, you will want to let your setup sit a few days to settle whenever changing roms or kernels , they will burn fast for a bit. If you have stuff to auto sync all the time and gps on that will drain it fast
