Nova Launcher with stock 4.2.2
not rooted (yet)
sometimes when I leave an app it goes back to the TW default screen
I have to hit the home key twice to go back to NL
is this a bug or anyone else having the same issue?
Have you went into setting of nova and set it for default launcher?
Why not just freeze Touchwiz launcher?
You can not disable touchwiz home without rooting.

It's just normal with stock launcher. You would have to install any other launcher in wich you can enable homescreen rotation or a custom ROM I guess...

1+ problem will be solved. Can't wait to load Nova.
I know this may sound really stupid but it is really bugging me now.
I have set nova on transparent bar. When I unlock my phone (using stock lockscreen), the notification bar flashes very fast and goes back to transparent. I'm not sure if I explained myself right.
Does your nova do this? Thankssssss.

No, but you might be using some kind of home proxy, i.e one that launches home from inside an app when you hit the home button.
Open Nova settings and check the default home is actually Nova.

yep, you're right. It depends on Nova and you can't do anything to solve it.
So nothing's wrong with my phone then?

Once you download and launch nova. There will be some widgets on your home screen prompting you to restore your layout from either a previous nova backup or a different launcher. Just create yourself a backup within go launcher (if it has that option) then restore from that backup. It may not restore everything depending on widgets you have currently but you won't have to start from scratch. I use nothing but nova prime.

I like go luncher for its RANDOM scrolling effects between pages hhh which i couldn't find that option in nova beside go luncher loads faster while rebooting

The xposed module isn't working for me. Anyone get a 5x4 STOCK launcher working?
Try this, use odexed version, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2462912

Ah. Well thank you, but that failed gloriously. Replaced the stock launcher with root explorer, changed to original's permissions. still resulted in a continuous force close cycle. thank god this phone comes with a second launcher (easy mode) that i could switch to to restore the old launcher apk.
Any luck getting this working? I'm not

i had setup all my widgets and app in folders etc... in TW and when i launched Nova it asked if i waned to import settings i choose yes and then i had the option to choose TW and so all my apps and folders were there. some of the widgets may not populate but being root all mine did except accuweather

I Don't know if LG Specific issue, but i switched to stock to try this out and yes, if you use any launcher besides the stock one it will revert to the list view, switch it back to stock launcher it's back to tabbed, i think i can deal with it.
But so far, if stock, pretty much out of luck.

I have sm-g900v 4.4.4 ni2 rooted with Ricks rom v19. Im using the 3minit battery mod and Nova launcher. Also I'm using the weather live widget. When the screen is off for a while and I turn it on and touch an icon there is about 3 to 4 second lag time before it launches. Sometimes when I hit the back button the screen doesn't respond for more then a few seconds. Does anybody have an idea? Is there a different or better rom for what I have? Thanks in advance

Most likely it's Nova and will be the same on any NI2 ROM. The battery mod has nothing to do with any lag you are experienceing but if you want to try it without the mod see this post. If you want to add it back flash the add on file in post 2. I hope this helps.
Thankyou for replying so fast. Is there another launcher I should use other than Nova or should I just go back to using Touch wiz?

Personaly I like touchwiz but you can keep using Nova if you want. See if removing the mod helps. I did try Nova but didn't like it because it was kind of laggy compared to touchwiz.

You could try the "Apex Launcher" they have a free version...
Turn off all xposed mods, reboot. Turn off aggressive desktop mode in nova, reboot. If any xposed mods, turn on 1 by 1, reboot.
