Can someone check my BBS dump if it's good? - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello guys, I bought SGS4 5 days ago and I've battery drain problem, sometimes I lose 40% while sleeping, but now it seems good I think, I've everything turned off (the smart things and NFC and whatnot) now I've only wifi on and took a dump with betterbattertstats and I want to know if there's sonething more I can do to save more battery, also for i9500 users, how many hours your battery last when you use apps a lot? For BBS dump and screenshot check the attachments.

Lost Samsung Galaxy Note

Hello Everyone,
I lost my samsung galaxy note in Singapore airport when I am changing my flight to Adelaide. I am very disappointed about it. I tried all the ways by searching via Samsung Dive. I tried installing droidlost and Plan B apps to track my mobile. Since I have inserted my Indian SIM when the phone lost and unfortunately I changed to Airplane Mode. Now I am not able to track it by sending sms for activating the app since the SIM is on international roaming (if the guy who got my phone switches ON). Kindly please let me know any alternatives. I am very frustrated and hard earned mobile. Please.

Kamal

Call your provider and ask them to block the IMEI, this way the phone will be un-usable as a phone, And if someone has already placed a working SIM into it, Your carrier should know its location.
Dial up the pressure and get them to help you !
Actually it can be tracked but in indian system they dont even care

Stop being so defensive Shiv. There's a lot to criticize with the Indian system. It's far from perfect.

Hi. I suggest you contact the ICA (Immigration Checkpoint Authority) of Sillypore to see whether they found your lost Note.
Don't worry about them stealing, cause they're reliable.
That's very unfortunate to hear. I too am trying to track down my Galaxy Note. I was at the bus station the other day and someone asked to borrow my phone for a call. I was just doing a good deed but he ran away with it. I've also tried plan B but it seems like the thief has already unassociated the google account. I'd like to know too if there are any other ways to track down the note knowing only the serial number?
I don't want to disappoint you but I think it's kind of hopeless. It takes nothing more than a wipe of the system to eliminate the tracking capablity using Samsung dive. Let alone the possibility to flash a new rom. I'd informe my provider about the loss and get a new phone. I know that's not what you.expected but it's reality.

If anyone knows the slightest thing about android then they will now that they can erase everything in recovery (stock or custom) leaving no tracking apps installed.
However...... That being said, there are more apps being developed lately that are designed to survive a full wipe from recovery, so make sure to look in to it for future references.
Avast ! is one of these apps and I highly recommened trying it, But also, Spend some time online looking and comparing all the different security apps, Dont be afraid to pay for one if it is worth it ! because it could be a matter of paying <£5 for an app, or losing a >£300 phone !
On a side note, Most providers wont give a crap if you lose your phone, They will just block it and still force you to pay them, So dont always rely on them to help you if something goes wrong !
Finally, without dragging this post on for too long, Its nice the guy above tried to do a good deed, But in future DONT !! I know this sounds harsh, But in most places of the world people only want 1 thing........ MONEY ! and they will do what ever they can to get it.
Who doesnt own a mobile ? you can pick up a $hitter for less than £10 ! there are dozens of phoneboxes out there and even reverse charge numbers.
So keep your witts about you next time you try to do a good deed for someone :good:
To the guy who said move on to note 2
Got news for you... not all of us can afford to, or want to . I'm more than happy with mine. Ill wait until we have 4g here and get the note 3.
I've put features off the 2 on mine ,&they work fine . Also use ram boosters ,which along with oc speeded it up no end .

You can with a bit of fiddling put a tracking app into the system, hide the icon .we all know about root etc but we are not normal !?users. Most people thinl a phone is a phone .My gf and friends just roll their eyes when I pull mine out and try to show my new pet OS !

[Q] Import Phone Software D802

Hey guys.
My G2 was a Hong Kong import.
I'm wondering if there's any local UK or Europe radios/basebands I can flash to this phone that might improve reception for UK?
I remember this being a thing for some of my older phones. Is it the same for LG?
Baseband Ver - M8974A-AAAANAZM-1.0.190036
Build Number - JDQ39B
Software Version - D80210b-HKG-XX
Phone network - O2 UK

I was wondering this too.
I too have a HK import (D802) and although the phone seems to work fine I have always had very high Android System and Android OS battery usage and have never been able to figure out why. They are always the top two culprits on my battery usage stats. I've ran many battery stats apps and not been able to resolve this issue.
One thing I have noticed however is that Wakelock Detector reports a very high number of Phone System(radio) wakeup triggers, currently 11451 times after a full days use, which has got me a little concerned about the baseband.
Although it is an international model, the baseband should work fine here in the UK, correct? It's just those really high wakeup trigger counts have got me doubting that. I'm on T-Mobile UK.
It would be nice to get some other people's opinion on this. Would flashing a UK baseband make a difference?
OP - would you be able to install Wakelock Detector and check what kind of Wakeup Trigger counts you get for the Phone system process, System(radio)? You will need to enable Advance Mode in the settings to see this system process. Would be nice to compare stats with someone else in the same situation.
Thanks.

Yeah I have already found the thread, but I was more looking for advice from other people's experiences on whether it'll actually make a difference.
My reception seems to be fine, I'm more concerned about the high number of wakelock triggers from the system(radio) process and the high battery consumption from Android System and Android OS.
However, I think the wakelock triggers seems to be linked to Fast Dormancy. I disabled it last night and today the wakelock trigger count from system(radio) was practically gone, only had 11 the entire day. But my battery seemed to drain a litter quicker.
Will need to do further tests.

Same here! Whooo hoo! I hope to see improvements with the battery life and occasional lag.
Edit: It's taking forever to download.
Same here
5th Try
I have tried to update around 5 times. 2 of which I fully wiped the phone. I keep getting "upgrade failed", and installation interrupted. This is really frustrating...
Someone please save it before applying it and upload for those of us not so lucky to get it...as if there's so many Note Edges out they need to be selective...but thats' ATT
edit: it's downloading for me. I'll try to save it and upload 1.2GB sounds like a full rom not an update. None of my previous phones lollipop updates were this large!
Downloading right now! This makes up for not having root yet for att. Download is real slow though
It is taking over 2 hours to download.....
Downloading it now it is a snail paced download, hopefully fixing some kitkat issues.
I have an Outlook forced device encryption. What are all the "Must do" steps before I can install successfully? I'm sure it will fail based on past experiences. Txs.
Anyone have any idea when the Best Buy Samsung reps will get this update pushed to their system? I bought the regular Note 4 because I wanted Lollipop right away but I had to go to the Samsung kiosk at BB to get the update pushed to my phone. I was there last night at 10pm and they said that it was still listed as KitKat in the system. I'm hoping for something before my 14 days with the Note expires.
Took 4 hours to download.
Runs fast. Has the blocking mode exception. Battery life seems a little worse, for now. Maybe because I'm playing with it too much...

can you upload it im in canada and have the at&t N915A version but might not get the update here. http://cdn4.xda-developers.com/images/icons/icon14.gif
Finally!! Took 2hrs to download for me. Been running it for about 4 hrs and it's definitely an improved experience. No lag, I can write using the stylus without the urge to throw my phone at a wall lol.. and it doesn't take a decade to view my recent apps. Its about damn time AT&T!
I wonder if this would be workable on a T-Mobile phone since Roms are usually interchangeable.
Issues so far
To all who have upgraded - Do you also experience the following issues:
Notifications do not show in the "briefing panel" any more
Floatification shows duplicate notifications
the night clock is too bright now due to the thicker font used
when I select an item on the S Planner panel it takes me to yesterday's calendar entries
Notifications on the Lock Screen cover the user information (could become a big deal because I have a message asking to call my wife's number if found)
Apart from that I like Lollipop but I hope the issues above can be resolved somehow.
UPDATE: Some of the issues went away after a couple of restarts I am MUCH happier already!
Thanks!
Second failed attempt here trying to download and install the update from AT&T onto my Edge.
And I have to wait another 24 hours to try again.
Anyone else having an issue trying to get this to install successfully?
Third times a charm, right?

Just set your clock forward 24 hours and so on and try again immediately.
My 2 credits...
Well, for me the download took about 1.5 hours, the update took about 30 min (including app updates) all went fine, settings seem to have carried over fine. (precautions I took were, left the phone on the charger, kept it on the same stable wifi connection, did not use the device other than checking on status, disabled lock screen pin)
Cheers

Now to exploring 5.0.1
I'm on vacation in Japan and updated from start to finish inside 30 minutes.

I Desperately Need HELP for my Clone Note 4 PLEASE. Thank you and very much appreciat

Hi everyone, I'm new to android and also this forum and website. But I do have a samsung galaxy y gt-s5360 before and I gain a very big helped from this forum before by learning how to flash and root my 5360 previously successfully with ressurection ROM. And I'm sorry this is the first time I created a topic post and I'm sorry and I'm not sure if I'm creating this topic at the right column of this forum. If I'm wrong I apologize dear Admin.
OK back to the main point of this topic. I just bought a clone Samsung note 4 yesterday. There's a lot of question marks in my head now and I need all the experts advice here and hope everyone could help me out please.
1) I don't even know what are the real specs of my phone now as it is clone and I don't even know how to identified it by real.
2) I wish I can flash a best note 4 original rom or custom ROM with the latest and updated and a nice ROM for my clone note 4.
3) 1 main reason is if possible I need a ROM with the real note 4 display resolution on my clone note 4 in order for me to use my Rock Dr.V casing for my clone note 4 which required an app from the rock case website itself which could not support and even run on my current clone note 4.
All kinds of helps and enquiries is needed and much appreciated. I will try to provide as much information, details and screenshots as I can. But starting with even screenshot now I don't even know how to screenshot my phone now because normally you can just swipe with your hand from right to left of the whole screen to make a screenshot but now this function is not even working.... I'm blurred and stuck now. The current state of of my clone note 4 now is running without problem as I can still use most of the common standard default apps and the commercial downloaded apps such as whatsapp, wechat, facebook and all including waze GPS too.
Another last thing is the imei no on the sticker behind the phone is different with the one stating on the about phone inside android software phone status imei. I tried scanning the imei behind with imei.info it tells me it is a Galaxy S4 but the imei inside the android software which I scan on imei.info was stated with "Invalid imei". That is all the information that I can provide now. Hopefully someone can teach me how to screenshot at least so I can start uploading more pics and Info's.
Please help me. Thank you very much all forumers.

Standalone sleep tracking

Hi guys, I have posted in my watch forum (HW2) but no joy so I thought I would ask here
Keep it short, I lost my pebble and rather than go for some third party watch I thought lets go for AW
But AW does not come with any sleep tracking everyone seems to love Sleep as Android but I switch my phone off overnight and charge in the kitchen and the few sleep trackers I have seen all use a phone app in addition to the watch app
So guys, I have looked but with no joy. Is there any standalone sleep tracking apps for AW please?
Thanks guys
Here you go. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.urbandroid.sleep
Thanks for looking but Sleep as android is not standalone
You have to install the phone app also, it pops up on the watch 'please open app on phone...
Any others you can think of please?
Take a look at Cardiogram: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cardiogram.v1 It has a sleep monitor and includes the watch app. The description doesn't say that the phone is needed.
Thanks JmSmith94, it looked interesting so I gave it a shot
Woke up this morning quite excited, opened the app and nothing
Checking the help and FAQ the app reads the Apple fitness data for sleep information
Another one bites the dust
I will say that was a nice find, I had not come across this and I appreciate you looking
Any others out there please?
I know this is an older thread, but I'm wondering if you ever got an answer or figured out an app? The Huawei Health app actually does a good job of tracking sleep. I've been using it for a while now.. The issue I have is that I've upgraded my pixel 2 XL 2 Android p and the Huawei app doesn't seem to work with P.

What watch do you have? I'm still on 8.1 on my Pixel 2 XL with the original Huawei Watch, and Huawei Health can't find it to link with.
Using the HW 2 classic. HW Heath and the Huawei app both worked well on 8.1, just not on P.
