Can we save photos on facebook by using fb app like FBapp for ios?
And there are any solutions to set wallpaper without cropping?
There are numerous apps in market which allow you to do almost whatever, eg-friendcaster
By default the system gives you option to crop the image before setting add wallpaper to for it according to our screen, if you want to use the whole of the picture as wallpaper just expand the size of the cropping edge of rectangle to the full of the image as it allows you to.

As I said, try "friendcaster pro" it gives you almost all functionality from uploading photos, to saving them, when you view them just hit the option button and choose the save option. You can Getty it from the Android market, else just google it.

So, for the life of me, I can't get Picasa Web Albums to show up in the Gallery app. Its also not in the sync list under Settings->Accounts & Sync->my account. I was able to "share" photos with "Picasa" but it still doesn't show up.
I'm on CM10 and experience the same behavior with my CM10'd HOX, but stock JB did the same thing.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Billy

I'll try that since I don't have a "photos" option in the sync menu either. Goo.im doesn't have a gapps from 8/10 but I found this one on devhost: http://d-h.st/VIG I'm gonna try it tomorrow. I'll report back.

You should change system application. Change "gallery2.apk" to "Gallerygoogle.apk".
I uploaded Gallerygoogle.apk. You should put this application in System folder, fix permission as 644 and put it in System/App folder.
You must remove Gallery2. And then you should launch a new gallery application, go to preference and sync with your google account.
Good Luck

I've just the opposite problem, can't figure out how to stop those pics in picasa web from showing up in gallery. I've disabled Google photos and instant upload syn, clear gallery app data and cache then those pics were gone for a while but came back later if the gallery get refresh. Google photos stays untick but it sync anyway.

You have to delete /sdcard/pictures/cache. That's where they are stored.

Hello guys, my dad has just bought a nexus 7, and I must admit it is a really nice device.
However there are some pictures on it and we cant find how to delete them, i have even been in the system files using astro.
I have also hooked it up to a computer and still cant find them, however they show up in the gallery of the device.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Showing nothing in there, been and had a look in there already thinking it was in there
maybe its pictures that have been uploaded to g+/picasa, they will show in the gallery even though they arent in your device.
You can delete pictures using the stock gallery app. Open the picture then tap on it and you should see a trash icon at the top right. If they are in an album, just long-press on it to see the trash icon.

The symptom is, each time I switch on my tablet, I receive a notification in lower right corner promoting something like lucky draw, game, etc. If I click on the notification, it automatically starts downloading apk. The apk is always named like yyyymmddxxxxxxxxxxx.apk. I never run those apks, I guess they are not friendly. How can I check which app I installed is doing this?

First check what you have installed recently. Could be one of those apps give spam notifications. I saw something similar on my bro-in-law phone and that was because he installed some kind of "enhancement" program to make his phone run more efficient (it didn't help bytheway).
Also, since you didn't say what OS you're running, 4.0+ has the option to disable notifications when you go to settings>applications>app name. If you find its an app you need, then that might help.
If you thinks its beyond this, then install lookout or norton from the market.
It's not malware, they're called push notification ads. Just download "Ad Blocker" (root required) from the market and it will tell you which app(s) is doing this. You can also choose to delete it from within the app.
Pretty handy.

I don't have it now, I will load it when I get it next time.
However I have the list of apps I installed because I sent it to the author of push detector. How can I send it to you? I just don't want to post it here.
I have another finding, which seems odd to me: I set the home page of chrome to be blank, and I double checked that, but each time I open the browser it always opens a search page with a lot of informations (looks like a portal but I don't like it). How can I know which app replaces my home page with such rubish?
Is it possible the 3G provider does this kind of things? (notification ads and home replacement)?

No, your network provider would have nothing to do with push notification ads or homepage replacement. And as for setting your homepage in Google chrome, are you talking about the desktop version? Because I don't believe you can make that selection on the mobile version, unless I'm missing something?
BTW, you can send that list to me in a PM if you'd like.

Try this app, it will tell you every app that has a shady ad network and you can delete it. A friend of mine had an app that was creating a ton of shortcuts all over her home screens.

In Chrome settings you can set your home page. But it seems it's the 3G provider that replaces the home page for me.
I will send you the app list. Thanks.

I get this message trying to take screenshots on random apps such as my bank and the PlayStation app. I could take screenshots on any screen before the update. My girlfriend's phone can still take screenshots after the update on our bank app but I can't. This is really annoying, is there a way to fix this?

I don't. Just basic email apps like Yahoo and Gmail.
Been searching everywhere and can't find anything to help this issue ><
something for messed up in your permissions. And screen shot is being blocked. Might need to factory reset. Could be the bank all blocking the screen shots.

I don't understand the permission part since it's only select apps. If it was the bank app I would think it would block my girlfriends app also but it doesn't.
Try using the app named "screenshot touch" available in the playstore for free
http://repo.xposed.info/module/fi.veetipaananen.android.disableflagsecure
Looks like a permission issue. I just had the same issue. I couldn't take screenshot on Brave browser (for you it could be any other app).
I fixed the problem by going to
Settings >> Applications >> Application permissions >> Brave
and enabling the "Use networks" permission.
At first look it seems unrelated but I'm going to assume it might be needed for the picture meta data (exif data).
If this specific permission doesn't do the trick for you, just enable them all for the app and should probably work.
