I've read in a few posts around that people are claiming it's the same size battery and works. I've never had a s3 so I can't test. Are there four contacts on the top left side or do you have to flip the battery over? If someone has the s3 external charger, are the contacts on the top left or right? Another reason I'm asking is if they do fit, and have NFC, and the contacts are on the top left, then we could use a battery charger for a s3 since the OEM s4 external ones are hard to come by at the moment.
they are NOT the same. S4 is larger.
2100 mah for s3. 2600 for s4. They are not the same. The s4 is physically larger as well

Okay. The Samsung moment and nexus s 4g were the same and the epic 4g and epic 4g touch were the same even though the new batteries were higher capacity in the same size battery.

So I heard someone on here say that the epic touch 4g has the same size battery as the epic 4g, but has more juice (like 1800 mAh). Can. Anyone confirm this, I wouldn't think they would take the same size battery, but would be cool if it did. Especially since I'm holding on to my epic 4g for a while. Would be nice to get a bigger oem battery. Thanks.
From cellblock D
It's all rumors, but I heard it'll be a 1650 mAh battery. Anything's possible, though.
Chances are the battery is gonna be a different shape... would be nice though to not have to buy more batteries

I heard that you can put the Epic Touch battery (1800 mAh) into our regular Epic 4G phone...anyone have experience with it?
The stock Epic 4G battery is 1500 mAh, so theoretically the 1800 mAh battery of the Epic Touch should provide a little more battery life.

You should check out the accesories section they have reviews in there, and to answer your question, yes. It fits, although its a hair smaller.

Got one from Amazon for $17. It feels the same fit to me and you get about 20% more life. Make sure to get an OEM, there are imitations out there.
I have an epic touch and an epic 4g. Et4g bat will drop right it. It is an upgrade over stock.
Using the et4g batts in two epics, gets about 20% more life per charge...was worth the upgrade for us.

Some of the best $ I've spent on Amazon. The 1800mAh battery and cm9 are a perfect combo.
I have the battery. For first few weeks battery life was much improved. Lately its been dwindling. Not sure what I did but I'm just runing clean gb kennys blue theme and that's it.

Could be signal related. How is your TWS? Add any apps that sync? What does Betterbatterystats say for wakelocks?

I 100% recommend the OEM 1800 mAH battery for those who do not want to slap on one of those extended backplates.
I live in a bad service area and almost never go through a day with ~ 3 hrs screen time.
I now have 2 1800 batteries and the external charger and I'll never have to worry about battery life again.
Hello, I was wondering if someone knows more about this than I do (I know nothing so wouldn't be hard) but as we have seen, the 4G LTE has an embedded 2000 mah battery. My current Evo 4G has the joy of the 3500mah extended battery. I was wondering the possibility of an extended battery for the 4G LTE. Right now I'm between the Nexus or the LTE and I'm not sure the awesome features make up for the lack of ginormous battery. Any ideas?
It's unibody aluminum no extended battery possibility here

Who knows maybe Sprint drops evo4gLTE with an extended battery like the razr maxx
Maybe if you disassemble the phone, then it could be removed and a bigger one added, that is if they would make batteries in the same size and all, always a possibility.
What about a company like S**do,
Making a complete oversized replacement case to accomodate a larger battery?

kinda what I'm hoping for random lol. if anyone can do it, it would be seidio and I would be most happy. 2000 might be nice but it doesnt beat 3500...
I would imagine....
I would hope that among the new accessories would be a recharging station device like the Palm Pre had. I know that Powermat is out there. Perhaps something else is in the works. I wish the Beats Audio headphones would come with the phone though.
Our Magic 8 Ball doesn't work any better than your Magic 8 Ball.

from what iv read its a 2650mah, not 2000mah. With a non removable battery i think we will see an explosion of cases that have a built in battery like there are for the iphone. I have one for my OG evo. Its made by xpal and its called a powerskin. I got it at bestbuy.com for $59. it has a built in 1500 mah battery. along with my $1750 internal, that gives me 3250 mah and is plenty good enough for me to last 20 hours or so of moderate use.

Didn't they remove the 5 pin connector from the new Evo?
Not being able to swap batteries is a deal breaker for me. I will not be getting one myself.
The newer processor uses a lot less juice, and the battery is bigger then the original to begin with.
You don't need a bigger battery, It's already going to outlast the OG evo by a longshot. Not saying it wouldnt still be nice to be swappable. But as far as battery life is concerned, its a non issue.
Some of us go thru the battery on the EVo pretty fast. The longest I ever been able to go is about 7-8 hours of hard use. I have been in places that only thing that kept me going for another 6-7 hours was the extra battery. I can;t see this 2000ma battery lasting much more that the one I have now.

HTC's website lists it at 2000.
That's what I read too. Anyway, 260 is not twice what I have now with 2 batteries and I just about run thru both on some occasions. I would think faster processor will use more juice.

check here and see the video as well, that link you posted was prior to it being actually announced I believe,,,
http://www.engadget.com/2012/04/04/htc-evo-4g-lte-preview-video/
check at about 4:10 it will tell you the battery size
excerpt: Speaking of correcting glaring flaws, the company assured us that, unlike past models (ahem, Thunderbolt), this guy should have ample runtime, courtesy of a 2,000mAh battery -- a sizable improvement over the One X's 1,800mAh juicepack
Yea I saw they changed it a little bit ago when I found the HTC page was working with more than a pic up now earlier this am it was just a photo with no specs, not worth upgrading to for me the only big difference between it and my et4g is the lte and my area won't see it til probably next year so no point in wasting the upgrade on a device that's not a drastic change HTC fumbled again IMO just like with the 3d and the design, only this time they just brought similar specs 9 months late idk what the hell they've been doing but they are falling way behind the curve these days, they burst out of the gate with the OG evo then fell flat on their face like they forgot to tie their shoes before the race

I saw the Galaxy S3 has a 6300mAh battery available and that people are getting like 10-15 on screen hours with it and I can't help but be jealous.
I understand that the Nexus 4 lacks the capability for extended batteries due to essential parts on the back of the case, correct?
But it's also true that one can replace the battery so long as it's in the same form factor/style as the stock battery, correct?
So, is there any way people can squeeze more mAh into a battery of the right type/size and if so do they exist yet?

The back of the nexus 4 requires a torx size 5 screwdriver to remove, as well as some kind of spudger, but that isn't really a deal breaker for the sort of people who would want the product you're asking for.
The problem is, you'd need some real engineering ability, and you'd need to be pretty exacting in your design for the replacement battery back to fit properly.you'd also be giving up wireless charging because that functionality is built into the existing back. As far as more capacity in the same space, no. Not any time soon.

I saw a post about Zerolemon making a battery case for the N4 in three sizes (varying capacity and presumably bulk). I think it's supposed to be released next month. Might be a workable alternative to a replacement battery.

OK the note 3's battery is already pretty big would you but a extended battery for it? I can't wait to see how big the ZeroLemon battery is when it is released.

Yes, day 1 they release the battery I will buy it.
the note 2 one was amazing for travels.
did it still fit in your pocket? that thing is HUGE like OG Xbox
Well, since note 2 had 3100mah battery and zl basically was just three of those making it 9300mah, I can see them doing the same thing here and making a 9600mah battery maybe even possibly a 10kmah!
Im still waiting on them to release the rugged case for their zl battery for note 2...
Sent from my note 2 ya bish!
Yes I can see myself buying one. I like to do back country camping and it would be nice to have music that lasts for 2-3 days. Although I could just run 3 separate batteries I wouldn't mind having it all in one.
I'm hoping they get cracking. But now it is time for me to give up on the rugged case. This note 2 zl case is going to get all gussied up by a nice lady in the UK, the phone is to become my wife's and my new note 3 will be patiently waiting for a REAL battery. Imho, big cards and big batteries remove over 80% of the reasons I used to flash and root. No need. The note line has been all I've needed since the first one came out. My wife loves them too.
So I saw on Facebook that they are working on a 10000 mAh battery

holly molly, that's awesome
How would this be better than a external battery pack?
It would be hard to pocket carry, and it looks like this is a back packable option only.
Plus the battery cover would be stock instead of a rubber back that doesn't fit properly.
Curious to the reasoning, I am looking up external 10000 MAH packs myself.
