Hey!
I can't reply in the "official" firefly-thread since I haven't replied to enough posts (which sucks). I've tried installing the latest open (Chinese) beta of the Firefly ROM.
The thing is that when I try to flash it with TWRP, it just says "Installation failed" right after it has done the "Verifying update package". So I'm wondering what the problem is. Is it the ROM being broken (which doesn't seem very likely) or am I missing software?
Thanks
EDIT: Solved...
What was the solution?

Well, first of all I didn't get the TWRP working right, but when I did, the Firefly package didn't seem to work anyway. I found a different version on the Italian part of the Oppoforums. After that I could change the language to English and now everything seems to be working fine.

Hello.
I installed this rom on my Rogers(Canada) X10. Everything went fine. But I have no wireless at all now and it says baseband unknown. I tried looking for APN settings but there's nothing there under mobile networks. This is my first time installing custom firmware and I'm rather lost. Can anybody help me please?
Hi
Did you make sure your on the correct baseband?
Did you flash a custom kernel?
Hi, I had same issue. What worked for me was using the Dev tools app and selecting bad behaviour then crash the system server. Phone rebooted and has been working fine since. Might be worth a try?

I read the Q&A but it seems that in order to select a baseband, I need to know what is is? But I can't because the system doesn't tell me. As for kernels and such, I'm at a complete loss lol. I just followed the instructions here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=945264 for installing the firmware.

Hi i'm new to xda. Sorry if this posted at the wrong section. If so, can anyone tell how to move it to the correct section
Anyways back on topic. BTW my phone is the gt-p1000n(latin version), android 2.3.3 stock. I tried installing CM9 by following a guide from cyanogenmod's guide to flashing cm9 for the galaxy tab (sorry unable to post link) . Everything went smoothly until it rebooted after flashing the kernel with cwm, it got stuck at the boot screen. I decided to hold the power button until it turned off. So i tried going to CWM and it worked but i seem to be unable to install the CM9 zip. It said something about status 7 error when installing it .
Can anyone be willing to tell me what i did wrong with the procedures. Thanks for your help btw. And sorry for my bad English, it isn't my native language.

Tried it but it didn't work . Still got the error status 7
You need to install overcome rom as well.
I know it is incompatible because the touch screen driver is different,
But only need that so that cm9 installer thinks you are P1000.
So flash
- overcome kernel
- overcome rom
- cm9 for p1n
- gapps
You can skip installing overcome rom by editing the updater script too and remove the assert line at the top and zip it back.
Only if you know what you are doing.

Maybe you must update the ClockWorkMod Recovery to 5.5.x.x version.
To Anyone if you can't find the Overcome kernel.
I've uploaded the Overcome kernel for you
Good luck from Thailand

Tried that and still got the status 7 error . I also went to overcome website and it said not to use the overcome kernel for gt-p1000n
Just edit the updater script then

Removed the lines and now i'm getting status 6 error
What error is status 6 exactly
Seeing so many problems, I think you should restock.
Do you have stock rom?
If not, I still believe you can use overcome method.
Don't worry about the touch driver not compatible. You will be mostly on Odin and on recovery.
You just want to use the gb stock safe to restock with pit selected and repartition.
Then quickly flash overcome kernel and then boot to recovery and flash cm9.

Just to be sure, the cm9 download link for the gt-p1000n is at 'get.cm/?device=p1n' right?
yes that is for P1000N
Not sure why, but for some odd reason Odin can't detect my tab when it's on download mode
No device added in the message box or no model number. If no model number it is normal.
Sent from my GT-P1000 using xda app-developers app
Odin didn't want to recognize mine either, but if you plug the tab, and close and open Odin, it should detect the com port.
I had a similar problem in the end i installed a rom i downloaded from Humberos's website, jus google Humberos and its the first link, there are the download links at like his 4th post. Good luck

Its because of what you did to the USB driver to use Heimdall, read the readme on Heimdall Folder, there is the way to revert the change...

If you send me your product code I can try to seach for your stock firmware (you should have it just in case).
And your tab it isn't the 5510 (because it not exists).
Maybe is a 5100... If so on dial type *#1234#
I'm assuming it's the UK P5110 as I have exactly the same issue. Originally on 4.0.4 I played around with root and whatnot before device spoofed crashed and the tab wouldn't boot.
The only version I would find after that was 4.0.3 and there is currently no update available through kies or the built in software updater.
I'm still looking for the update, if anyone can help

I cannot find any 4.0.4 for 5110, except the P5110ZCBLH2 (OTA) that came out today for China!!!
To seach for it in another away I need your PRODUCT CODE and HIDSWVER
To look for it, if you have windows got to regedit and look for CURRENT_USER/software/samsung/Kies/DeviceDB/ and then find the folder that have HIDSWVER and Product Code
I got this twice lately, flashing different ROMs. Does anyone know what Status 7 means? Thanks!

Something to do with your recovery I think. Do you have a custom recovery? If so try flashing a new recovery and then try again ?
Hi, I use the latest version of TWRP. What do you recommend, CWM?
Edit: No, actually I use the last but one version. Will update and hope for the best.

Great
Hello all. I recently tried flashing the new Hellfire KitKat weekly on my D803, I wiped everything as it should be done, but while the zip was installing, it stopped, then said status 7 error. I read a few places that that means it's an incompatible ROM, but I am 100% sure I downloaded the right one. I've tried both with TWRP 2.6.3.4 and PhilZ Touch CWM. Am I doing something wrong?
Check the build prop and check and see it is correct rom.

Sorry, been a bit busy. Just checked now, and yes, it is the correct one.
Same issue here, D803
Waiting patiently while someone sheds some light about this problem
