There are a lot of custom notification apps on the market, try some of those, should be able to find the right one for yourself there.

He means one of those apps that notifies you when you've missed a call or something I think. Like one of those apps that makes a full screen popup if you've missed a phone call. OP correct me if I'm wrong on this assumption.
Personally I just like the stock notifications. All those other apps just feel too "all-up-in-your-faceish"
From the AFB Corporation's Main Communication Portal
Yup thats exactly what I meant....
The stock is good but I like to remins me like every 15 minutes as sometimes I leave the phone ay my desk and forget to check if I missed a call or sms...
This way, I know that I have to check
I have been using "missed call"

Thanks for the link, but I wish it wasn't required!! Seems kind of pointless having an LED with the default settings, possibly a firmware bug?
Note:
On the up side, after installing that app, I'm yet the find a colour the LED can't manage
Yep thanks for the app and yeah agree should be stock android to pick colours

OK so I hope I can describe this well enough so that you know what I' talking about. Whenever I get a text message or miss a call and my phone is locked and screen off, and then I come back and wake my phone, it ALWAYS goes to this default screen that shows who the text/missed call is from (and for texts, it will actually show some of the text message). How do I change this, or is there not a way to change it?? Thanks to anyone that can help!

Sure. I don't know about the calls, but the texts I can help. Open up the default messenger. Hit the menu and touch settings. In there you'll see some goodies. One of them will address your text concern.
Is there a replacement app that in the conversation view, shows who sent the last message (in addition to the actual message)?

I'm unsure of what exactly you're looking for - based on how you ask it, to me - sounds like the stock Messaging App already has this.
Are you on stock ROM?

No,
The stock application shows the message in conversation view, but it does not say WHO sent it (me or the other person).
Is there an app that shows this?

Head into the Play store and search for GO SMS
it's a pretty decent SMS app that works on most Android phones

GoSMS would be recommended by myself as well if thats what you need/want. I downloaded it and confirmed it does display WHO sent it.

Oh, i'm unsure where in settings it is. By default after I installed it, it already had that feature enabled. I'll take a look around when I have a moment.

Ok,
But where is that option located?
Handcent sms is the other sms replacement. ..n0t sure it has ur feature but worth checking out

I'm making this post for a friend. She has a T-Mobile G2 and apparently when using sending text messages (via stock app) messages fail if the persons message is themed. Deleting Cache and resetting will help for a little while, but eventually will do it again. Text Messages sent without any custom themes are sent fine. Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks

No, this is for a friend who was having trouble, stock rom, non-rooted. I did a search and didn't find anyone with the same issue, I thought maybe someone on here would know a work around... or anyone know of a good third party messaging app that allows to have individual themes for different people?
