Where did you get 6.0.5.2? It should be 6.0.3.2. And which device are you running? How are you choosing to boot to recovery?

If it keeps doing that, you might want to report it as a bug in verygreen's emmc thread to see if others have the issue.

My system started as a 1.3 NC, that I successfully rooted using nooter, but a year ago last Oct ( 2011 ) and OTA update removed my rooting. After a couple weeks, someone posted a "fix" that restored my root access, but also bocked the OTA update.
A few weeks ago, I screwed up and mistakenly tried to install a Android Market update, and it BROKE my system. So I desided that this was a great time to update the NC to it's current OS level ( 1.4.3 ) and tried to follow the instructions on restoring the NC to "factory" fresh state... but thats where it started to go wrong!
Using the clockwork recovery sdcard I used to root the system, it FAILED to erace / format the Data area, probubly because I "fixed" it when I had the problem over a year ago with the OTA update.
Now no matter who's instructions I follow, I can't get that data section deleted so I can restore the system,
What I want to do restore/update the NC to current level, and THEN to reroot.
Currenly, the ONLY way I can use the NC is with the newest N2A image on a sdcard, but there is a huge speed penalty that way!
Can ANYONE help!
Thanks in Advance!
Tom
Yes, I can help. Go to my NC tips thread linked in my signature and make a bootable CWM SD per item A10. Then go to my item A15 and download the CWM flashable 1.4.3 and install per the directions there, wiping also per the directions.

Thanks for the help... so far!
Did as suggested, created the card ( CWM-6.0.1.2-bootable_SD ) and loaded the "nookcolor_1_4_3_signed.zip" onto it.
Was successful in formatting the system , boot and cashe AND the Data directory! Restarted CWM and was able to run the 1.4.3 zip completely. Rebooted from CWM menu after removing the SD card from the NC....
...but now the NC hangs at the "N" screen.
So, what did I do wrong? What next?
Thanks in advance!

works... but one last question
First off... a HUGE Thank You!
It looks like it's back to my pre-rooted NC.... so, if I understand this correcly, it's NOT rooted, and I still have to do that.
Any suggestions of the best rooting utility?
Again, thank your for all your help!

Hi leapinlar and tomsheeley,
Due to 10 posts rule I cannot reply to eyeballer's thread (I'll send him a pm instead). tomsheeley might try TWRP 2.3.1.0 after he root his NC as more friendly. Today I tried to upgrade to TWRP 2.4.1.0 available in #129 post. The problem I had with fixing permissions was solved by deleting the folder emmc/TWRP using a root explorer (I use Root Browser Lite free from market).
The problem is common I think with SGS+ and I found it by watching this thread.
Thanks and sorry for posting here but watching that you are posting in fattire's thread and I think my feedback might helps.
I have an odd problem, My Nook is using one of the CM 10 nightly builds on a microsd card from about 3 weeks back and has an issue in which when it goes to sleep and i press the button to wake it, the default barnes and noble firmware boot screen comes on.Has anyone else seen this and how can I correct it?
I have not heard much about this happening on the Nook Color, but it happens all the time on the Nook HD/HD+. What happens is the kernel runs into an operation it does not like and it literally panics. When that happens it boots to bootloader, which then boots to stock. So there is something happening in the wake up process that causes a kernel panic. Could be something in the wifi driver. Are you leaving wifi on all the time? Could be your SD. What brand and class is it?

You could try turning it off during sleep. There is a setting for that in settings, wifi, menu, advanced and wifi sleep policy. If you don't need it on, then setting it to go off may help.

Hi guys,
I just bought a Nook HD+. It has 2.0.6 installed on it.
I'm trying to follow these instructions here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=40480897&postcount=10
I got to step 7, but it always boots into the Nook OS and never into the CWM. All the previous steps worked.
I'm using a 64 GB Sandisk Class 10 card btw. Other posts seems to indicate this card should work.

The fact that your PC makes noise when you plug in the USB cable makes me think it is on but screen off.
Have you used this same CWM SD to boot before, or is it burned fresh? If it is fresh, that could be why it is not booting to it. It has to be burned just right or it will not boot.
And, I guess I have to ask this. Are you sure it is a Nook Color rather than a Nook Tablet?
