Hi,
In an attempt to install PA 3+, I wiped the cache, dalvik cache, sdcard (having zip file of PA) & also accidentally deleted my XENON HD rom in bootloader mode.
Now I have no rom installed on my device. I have even used "ADB Sideload" to return back to stock but that too is not giving any satisfactory result.
Please help.. :crying:
Connect it to PC and copy the ROM file then install again ... Is that a big deal ...? I think phone will detect as a media device even it is switched off ... If not then goto recovery and mound SD card... Correct me if I am wrong

You can push rom with "adb push" or flash factory rom with fastboot

Can you tell us how you fixed you so anyone in the future with the same problem can easily refer to this thread instead of creating another thread just to ask the same question.
I recently unlocked and rooted my N7 using WUG.. I was able to flash smooth rom and that is what i am currently running. However I wanted to try some of the other roms out there to and I have not been able to.. I re-boot to twrp recovery and the roms do not show up. Where am I going wrong here?
Starting out with the basic here: you downloaded the ROMd to your device before you booted into TWRP right?

So it could be "anywhere." Create a folder on the SD card and use that to store roms.

It's kind of weird actually, I have rooted both my rezound and NT, flashed many roms on them and have not seen this.
So I made a new folder and it does not show in twrp, actually only a few folders show..

Only a few folders show up on twrp, weird...I did get one to show up in a folder called ready to flash but it failed to flash.
That's strange. Try to reflash twrp, because it shouldn't behave like that.

Well, if what you say is true and you are correctly flashing the factory images with fastboot ( including the radio )
your screwed.

Download a nexus 4 ROM and flash that.
Next time do not ever ever flash a rom that is not meant for the device. Is your phone a S4? No. Is it a HTC One? No. Stick with ROMs and kernels meant for your device and you'll be good.

Tough luck mate
I'm no expert, but obviously you've overwritten your modem/radio partition, maybe even corrupted. I don't know if you could zero that partition (with dd codes) and then flash one of our radios... Not sure if that would work...

No, it's not because it's aosp. Nexus 4 uses aosp but the drivers and all are different on each device.

Install 4.1 via nexus toolkit. Then 4.2. This should install the nexus radio as well.

Hey guys,
I've recently updated to android 4.3
I've installed franco kernel on top of the os and it seems to screw up my phone
the phone restarted and its stuck on the google logo
I've tried to use nexus root toolkit of WUG to install stock + unroot in the soft brick mode
and its still stucked on the google logo
tried factory reset from bootloader and now it tells me I dont have OS hehe
mmm dont know really what to do from here and not sure
I did the above mentioned steps as I should.
I dont have problem to delete everything and to do a factory reset if possible
Also I'd like to have 4.2.2 .. loved it more as I could work with franco kernel
would much appriciate any guidence on to follow up from here
as I am preety lost.
thanks alot mates!
That is soft bricked and there is like a million ways to fix it.
If you want you can sideload a custom rom of your choice or you can just use the Nexus Stock Images which allows you to install 4.2.2 or 4.3.

Choose your android version here, choose the Mako/Occam type.
https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images#occamjwr66v
From the looks of it there is no Fastboot binary in it so you need to copy them over to that folder making sure your in the bootloader and you have drivers.

I had this same issue you had, and I noticed it happened because i was flashing franco kernel for 4.2.2 over JB 4.3
Make sure you are downloading the correct version of franco if you still want his kernel.

If you cannot write to internal or external you need to wipe your entire /system then reflash stock.

I did a wipe on internal memory and then did a factory reset.. Had a backup of my files so.. It works now.. Think should stick to 4.3 until 4.4 comes OTA in my region.. Thank's anyway!
